Had a fight with my ex because I wanted to eat pancakes, but he didn't like them so somehow I wasn't allowed to eat them. It was the weirdest shit. At no point was he supposed to eat them too, it was litteraly just me wanting to eat pancakes. It lasted for hours because bitch boy couldn't let it go. I stumbled on FDS and read 'Why Does He Do That' and everything hit home. I realized I have value. Thanks for saving my life. I broke it off and he committed suicide a week later. He was a drowning person pulling me down with him. Very tragic, but at least I survived it. I blamed his mental illness, and yes it was being treated by all kinds of doctors, but eventually I chose to value myself.

One of my exes would pull the silent treatment on anything he perceived as rude, whether I was responsible for it or not. My roommate invited him to her birthday party and assumed he would be down to drive instead of asking, and he didn’t talk to me for two days over it. I spent $100 on a sticker printer for myself and when he found out he disappeared for five days to “reevaluate the relationship.” Told him where to get cheap moving boxes once and he got so offended, but I’ll never know why. So sad. I had an ex that didn't work the entirety of our relationship, maintained an emotional/physical connection with a "friend" for years and would routinely (as in ...every time we went out) get too drunk, emotional and start a fight with me that sometimes turned physical.

She started laughing saying "it was funny!" 🤡 I sat in horror and literally said aloud "thats not funny that is abuse"

She then went on to tell viewers how the ring made her hand burn and she was allergic to it and how years later her man didn't buy her a gift and grabbed the old ring she's allergic to from her closet and handed it to her. Again I called it out "thats cheap and pathetic and not s gift."

It was finals week and my ex wanted to hang out with me at his place (aka he wanted sex). I was exhausted but a mentally ill pickme who legitimately did want to see him so I just asked that he pick me up some fast food on the way as I was quiet hungry after yanno finals. He went nuts in the liberal man non aggressive passive aggressive way about how entitled I was, how disappointed he was in me for asking such a thing and proceeded to not let it go. I was humiliated because he did it in front of friends and when we discussed it later at his place he literally made me cry because I was so embarrassed for asking him for something. His excuse was he’d been “used” by women before and he didn’t “trust” or like being “expected” to pay for things. It came out of left field because prior to then he had paid for food on dates and etc.

I was 19 then and he was 25 and I’m so glad I know how beyond abusive and bs that entire thing was

On the day I finally dumped my ex, he yelled at me for forgetting to bring cash with me when we went to our local pizza joint, which is cash only. He screamed "you think I'll just pay for your pizza!?"

When I dumped him he was floored. Later I ran into him and his friend. The friend called me a c*nt for dumping someone who "treated me like a princess." It's amazing that did not traumatize me.
