Also I used put LVM guys on a pedestal if they ever did one thing good in a while, but not anymore!! (yay for character development!)

It also helped me figure out which of my friends are HV and gave me the conviction to block off a lot of NV/ LV people in my life.

Made me realize my worth, raise my standards, and adopt a zero tolerance policy for bad behavior. I don't argue or try to fix people anymore. I simply redirect my attention elsewhere.

I've since gotten a substantial promotion at work. All my relationships have leveled up, not just the ones I have with men. I lost 20 pounds, am building muscle thanks to yoga, and fit back into the jeans I wore as a college athlete. I feel great.

Weed through a lot of bs, its okay to have standards and honestly focus on myself and the quality of not just romantic relationships in my life, but all the relationships in my life. You can apply FDS to a lot of things and its made me a lot more self confident.

This subreddit made me realise there were other women like me, and reinforced my standards for men simultaneously.

I found this subreddit accidentally when searching for subreddits for/about women, and I just wish that I had found it when I was about to join uni. With the knowledge gained from this subreddit, I wouldn't have made the mistakes that cost me my mental health and a place at a top uni. I had very high standards before joining uni, but for some reason they dropped. FDS has given me back some of the confidence I had as a kid.

Hmm...helped me find more peace and vent a bit.

My fiance is a cute, kind, spunky and successful man that I met about 2-3 years ago and it was nice finding out he showed a lot of green flags (aside from being overprotective--still monitoring this!), but I had some issues in terms of, well, the idea of losing him. This is natural and not some warning instinct; I am anxious by nature, I feel this way about friends too. I was crying about the concept of bad things happening to my parents or even strangers when I was 6 years old so...yeah. That's me. I worry that he'll die or something would break up the relationship someday. But FDS made me realize that he's not the ends to my life and the revelation has made me better able to manage my anxiety, oddly enough.

I think one of the many things I've appreciated about this sub since I found it not too long ago was just how wonderful it was too feel less alone in some of my feelings and experiences.

It seems like it's an important step on the way to realizing your own worth. LVM (and lvw) will spend an inordinate amount of their energy making you question yourself, your experiences, your thoughts, your feelings. If you think something seems wrong or are hurt by anything, they would rather explain to you how you're wrong to feel that way--bottom of the barrel may even try to convince you that they're the victim and you're the abuser for daring to communicate anything negative to them. So much of that toxic cycle is one of being isolated from others and from yourself.

So coming to this community and seeing all these similar stories and having it be generally understand that the things we're observing and experiencing are real and not just a matter of being overly sensitive, dramatic, crazy etc is one of the most gigantic weights to feel lifted.

It’s really helped me set boundaries when I didn’t even realize, I’ve ended relationships when I felt like my needs weren’t being met. It’s still a struggle sometimes but I’m glad to implement some of these strategies and mindsets in my dating life. I feel a lot happier on my own at the moment and I would contribute it to this sub. This is literally the only space i can learn about better behaviors and things to watch out for. Its really hard to discuss these things in my community because its literally a conservative arab one literally so hard to realize whats a red flag and whats just typical arab behavior that i have no power changing. so i have yet to overcome alot of my own issues but im definitely trying.

Made me realise that in past relationships, whenever I was feeling irritated even at seemingly small things (and at those times I'd blame myself that something was wrong with me), I was actually subconsciously knowing that my partners weren't treating me in a respectful way, were gaslighting me, manipulating. I still have many things to learn and overcome, and I still sometimes slip up on being ruthless in rejecting people who aren't up to my standarts and have many pickmeisha residue that I am slowly trying to rid of.

But I am so grateful for finding this subreddit and so grateful for all of you. I have noticed a big boost in my confidence. In a strange way, confidence came first before I got motivation again to better myself. All in all, I thank you all with all my heart.

FDS has helped me believe in myself and truly value myself. I had really low self esteem and was raised in a fundamentalist Christian conservative family and community that devalued women as second class and made me feel like I needed to cater to men.

Then I became the opposite of that as a super femlib. But guess what! Two sides of an apron come together... (as in they both have so many similarities in different toxic ways) Fuck that noise!

After years of abusive relationships with men, thanks to FDS and therapy, I realize I’m a strong woman and I DONT need to take shit from men or be treated like that by both LVM and pickme’s.

I always check the memberships when I visit this sub. I love to see it climb higher and higher, I am so anxious for every woman on this planet to gain the insight that there is to be had here.

Anytime I feel weak-minded re:men or down on myself, I visit this sub and just read for a couple hours. Leveling up my mindset felt so unnatural a couple months ago, I was the biggest pickmeisha in existence, but a lot of the posts here have entered into my subconscious and I think and feel more confident than I ever have. FDS mindset has literally been the cure for me.
