He is incompatible with her. Yes, we can laugh at his nasty teeth, but what it really comes down to is he does not value the same things as her (health, wellness, communication) and he has no ambition or desire to change.

This is why we say to vet, to look objectively, to not allow love bombing and infatuation to cloud your judgment. She could have saved herself months by recognizing these absolutely fundamental incompatibilities from the start. This is genuinely sad and I hope she leaves him.

This is what happens when you don't vet and jump right into a relationship thinking that unadulterated pure lust you're feeling is "soulmate/true love" mumbo jumbo.

You end up with a person you don't even know very well, who does terrible things you don't like and REFUSES to change. Yet she has to make all the sacrifices and changes but he gets to stay his gross self? how is that fair? always keep vetting/leave at the first red flag no matter what because the game is rigged against women.

Girl first of all what he has isn't "pride", it's "fragile ego". How can she even kiss him on his mouth?! I barfed just thinking about it. No grown woman should ever have to tell a grown man to brush his teeth, he should be embarassed enough to do so on his own, even if his parents taught him otherwise. Infact she shouldn't have to explain to him any of these things - soda, redbull, relationships have disagreements etc etc. This guy is not only egoistic and unhygienic, he also has a massive case of arrested development and seems be very very low on empathy.

I dated a guy like this. I had to pull up data on how unbrushed teeth causes heart attacks and even cancer because swallowing the bacteria from the mouth can really do you a nasty. He still wouldn't. It was disgusting.

And I don’t need to read any further to know this guy is a possible abuser, he’s got all the red flags.
