That's not a date, that's having a meal with your boyfriend. When we say "xyz is not a date" we mean dates are supposed to be special occasions. First dates are supposed to show effort. We don't mean that doing these things with your boyfriend is bad, but doing them with a stranger you just met is. I think that's where pickmes get lost.

I love fast food a lot, but I’ll eat it at home, cuddled up in bed in front of a comedy on Netflix. Comfortable and able to lead a conversation and cuddle.

I can’t remember a single time I ate in the car with a boyfriend.

My husband and I do this. We don't really call it a date though. More like, we just did a long walk with our dogs and we want something cheap and easy. We share the fries with the dogs.

Back in my embarrassing pick me days, this was my date with my boyfriend, this and then driving to a field or dirt road and having sex in the car. My god it was an awful time with me and my incredibly low standard and expectations. I’m embarrassed to admit it here but on am going to!
