If he wants it back he can either come himself, send someone he trusts or give her the money to ship it to him with a trusworthy shipping company. Why on earth is she trying to make things convenient for him? Or put it in a box, send it to an address of him she knows and simply text him "Sent the watch to your mom's address. Here's the receipt and shipping number. Now don't contact me again.".

And I would absolutey let the person who picks it up sign a note that they received it and have witnesses present. Otherwise that scrote might claim he never got it and try to set her up for stealing it.

This is so upsetting. I have totally dealt with exes who immediately wanted to reference all the men I am fucking. In my experience, this is a sign of him cheating. He likely threw her out so he could meet with another woman. Guessing it didn't work out, as now he wants her to drive back to him so he can convince her to stay. If the watch meant anything to him, he would have contacted her, and offered to come get it. I agree with another commenter who said, pawn that shit. If she hadn't run into the "nice older couple" she would likely have had to pawn it to get home, since it doesn't sound like she has a strong financial position.

When a man turns against you he will take all those kindnesses he gave you before and say “you’re a user/gold digger/stealing/whore.” This is exactly how my ex would try to keep me in my last relationship. If I left, it meant I “truly” was a whore and using him for his money. If I stayed, I was a whore too for being with a man just for his money.

I would BEND OVER BACKWARDS to tell him I loved him, was attracted to him (these were true) but he knew in his heart he wasn’t good enough / he had awful self esteem issues. The cracks began to show when I would ask him things like “do you love yourself?” And he’d reply with sarcasm or a joke referencing some sci fi show, trying to deflect a legitimate question. This man really goes through life not even being able to love HIS OWN SELF. 🤡

I should have realized he was telling on himself the whole time, because it turns out he knows he has nothing of value to add to a woman’s life EXCEPT his pittance of an income. I’m glad I finally started listening to him and opening my eyes to the truth.

I wouldn’t meet up with him at all. My ex left his speaker and I told him I will meet up with him in a public space but he will have to find the time. He never did. I didn’t feel comfortable with him being in my apartment especially with the creepy texts he was sending me. Men only tell you that to get you alone. I didn’t compromise my safety over a stupid speaker. She can send that watch to his dad’s house or something. He kicked her out in the middle of nowhere and didn’t care about her safety. Why does she care how he gets that watch? I wouldn’t have said anything anyway. I would have pawned that shit and went back home.
