My baby sister (she was 28 then but big sistership is for life) was stalked around a supermarket (grocery store) by a security guard who was leering and told her creepily "I want to get to know you". No hello or anything else.

He abandoned his post and followed her to the car park, standing in front of her car and refusing to move unless she gave him her number.

She's pretty FDS naturally, more than my starting point, so she stayed in the car and wound down the window just enough to shout that she was calling head office to report him. She did just that and the man was fired.

He wrongly thought it was her word against his despite video evidence. Well done sis for taking no nonsense and well done to the shop for protecting their customers as isn't always the case.

I went to a piercing and tattoo studio with my beautiful friend and later that day one of the tattoo artists wrote her on facebook.
We had to fill in a form with our names, allergies etc beforehand so he took a look at her name and finally found her on facebook.

Wow ill never forget I got the worse massage from a male at a massage place , he didn't try anything sexual but he absolutely sucked !! Didn't even massage me correctly , dug his knuckles into my lower back so hard it was hurting for weeks . He also talked my ear off when all I wanted was a little relaxation . I was LIVID I called there higher ups . But that poor woman , this is so uncalled for and completely an invasion of privacy . She needs to sue !!!

I always got the impression some personal trainers were a bit creepy and in that line of work to butter up and get close and personal with their clients. Some men who go into psychology are master manipulators as well, that's why they go into it, so they can learn how to better manipulate women.

I actually hate most male doctors and refuse to see them, especially when they're going to be touching my body. I was seeing a urogynecologist who was a man, and he had the audacity to tell me that the problems I was having were all in my head. I was like, "first, you're a misogynistic asshole and two, I'm a therapist. Don't tell me I'm crazy because you're too dumb to actually know what's going on."

Fast forward to last year. I went to go see another pelvic specialist who happened to be a man. He told me that because I'm 38 and have cysts (possible tumors) on my ovaries, I should just go ahead and have a hysterectomy, and casually mentioned the possibility that I might have cancer. It literally ruined my life for over a month. I wish I had followed through on complaining about him, but instead I went to a teaching hospital and found a world-renowned female physician who took care of me, and I made sure she and all of her colleagues knew what this guy said to me.

Give fellow female professionals your business. They work harder, take less for granted, and value the female experience.

I just had a man who works for my internet provider come to my home to fix an issue with my router. I sat on my couch reading a book a.k.a not engaging him at all during his appointment but he tried making small talk about random shit. When he was done, he offered me his personal number to "call if I have any more issues and he will gladly stop by..." instead of the normal protocol of going through the company...

Why exactly would I do that, sir? The appointment is free for me, and you would not be paid by your employer if you came outside of work, sooooo why would I need your personal cell? Oh right, because you're a loser creep.

The last RMT I had was a female and she hit on me and kept talking about sexual things like how her sex life is with her boyfriend and how she "dabbles" in bisexuality and how I should look into maybe being a "pillow princess" after she asked me if I've ever done anything with a woman, to which I said no. Or the Brazilian waxer who's first question to me is "do you have a boyfriend?" No, I do this for me. And she chuckles and suggests that I must have someone because no woman does this for herself. Um, Myself is deserving of whatever the hell she wishes her pubic region to look and feel like... butt out, tyvm. Sad but true. I'm sorry for every decent man, but we all are better safe than sorry. It's nothing new predators use any kind of authorithy and / or vulnerable situations.

And also - we sadly still have so often to work much more and harder for the same - not to mention appreciation and respect in our working environments. But we can use this and turn it in a win-win situation: As a customer / client / patient you'll be safer (and often also more respected and taken seriously) with choosing a woman as the provider / worker in the respective service & at the same time you are helping another woman by supporting her business.

I had a tennis instructor I did private lessons with ask me out every time after practice. Let's go get a coffee! And I'm like, no... I have to get home and walk my dog. The last straw should have been the first time be did that. The actual last straw was him saying to me just prior to him leaving Mexico "is it ok if I think about you while on the beach?" I was 29 and he was like 48. I'm sure the look I gave him told him that was going to be the last time I ever saw him.

Honestly, I was an idiot and so lucky. The tennis studio was in a rural area not far from the city I live in. I stared in winter, and it was dark out during my lessons which I did after work He would have been able to hurt me, and get away with it.

If anyone knows how to report tennis coaches in Canada, please let me know.

A couple of years ago I got a massage from a male massage therapist in my yoga school. When he massaged me he also massaged my buttocks and I was like ?!?! I had some problems with my leg, foot and buttocks, but I only told him about my leg and foot.

Because he was a professional and because it was a really good yoga school I questioned myself, especially since I indeed had some craps in my buttocks sometimes, so I felt like he maybe knew more about all the muscles than me and since that area is connected to my leg, etc. he maybe wasn’t being weird? But he never asked, and my gut feeling was not good, so I was really uncomfortable with the whole situation.

When I told my boyfriend later and asked him if that was normal to touch that area in such a situation he was like ‘yeah, totally’. Smh.

Only had female masseuses after that.

When I was 13 I went to our local village doctor to check my back/spine and after checkup he told me to take off all my clothes from upper body, stand in front of him facing him and then he proceeded to touch my breasts like "weighting" them in a way, pretending he's doing some examination. He was like 65 at that point and he's deceased by now. I didn't see anything weird in that back then but now I'm quite sure he didn't have to touch my breasts, please correct me if I'm wrong.

There is a reason why kids shouldn't go to doctors without parents so beware. Your kid may be mature for their age but is still vulnerable to a predator men who abuse their power.

OMG EW. I’m not surprised that his license has expired. I used to date a male RMT and he is seriously trash but even he was so careful at work. Because like he didn’t want to lose his livelihood (and for all his faults actually was passionate about rehab massage). Like he even told me he was afraid his clients thought he was rude because he didn’t ever want to be perceived as being too friendly.

I try to go to women for everything. (I had a male psychotherapist for years who’d brush off all of my problems saying “but you have such extraordinary sexual power”, like wtfff). I did see an amazing male RMT for awhile who was so professional and so careful with draping and asking me about everything before he did it. (I had a hamstring injury). And he barely spoke to me aside from discussing my injury. I’d probably think he was surly if I didn’t know how important it is that they be super professional, especially with something that intimate.

People who abuse relationships like this are a special kind of awful.
