A guy I was seeing told my friend he was gonna propose at a restaurant on our anniversary.

Regarding the sporting event: how fucking selfish can you be? She now has thousands of people, staring at her, waiting for her to say yes (when she most likely is in shock and honestly wants to say no). Way to add extra pressure there, scrote.

Disagree only because after-birth proposal is the obvious worst one:

1) making your experience of birth about him 2) you’re in pain and probably heavily drugged 3) you have to have an entire actual baby for the man with no commitment for this to occur

This is great. She left out home proposals! Like, ew, we're cooking dinner or watching a movie. That's not romantic or well thought out- at all. If a man ever tried to make his proposal to me so NOT special, I don't think I could marry him, regardless of how great he is.

I think us women should collectively agree that a public proposal, even a proposal among family and friends, is a power move on the man's behalf.

How can you say no and break my heart in front of all these strangers? In front of Nana!? How can you say no when I have spend money on an extravagant massive lovebomb to make ME look like a rich, capable, and romantic man for the gram? And if you say no youre a bitch?

I think this type of proposals should be canceled honestly.

I’m gonna have to disagree about the sports one. I can see that being special.

And everyone should talk about marriage before a proposal happens.

I mean. You can buy suites at sports games. You can spend mad money, set up a special suite, or buy the best tickets. Get photos with the players. Just don’t do it in the cheap seats like you got no money.

Edit : I’m looking at the other comments. I used to plan corporate events at sports stadiums. That shit is expensive, it takes planning, and if you meet a player you’re spending a ton of dough. It’s not my cup of tea but something not in the cheap seats would take a lot of work/time.
