you should see what this piece of shit /u/hisstriss is saying:

Rape survivors don't fawn over their rapists, even with a baby in the picture.

There is no conceivable way he would pay for the expenses of his rapist that drugged him.

let's all remember this next time someone claims battered spouses don't stay with their abusers, or rape victims don't refuse to press charges and get back with their rapists over and over. let's remember this next time some loudmouthed fuck like this moron claims all rape victims respond to their trauma differently and don't follow some preconceived course of action.

What a genuine garbage human being.

The guy, like millions of other men, may not be taking his own rape seriously because he's heard all his life that men can't be raped and because there's a huge stigma about it. Male rape isn't taken seriously legally either. He didn't have the same legal recourse to go after the woman even if he felt free to. At the same time, he wants to take care of the kid who is blameless in all this, who is being held hostage by the mother. Whom he has to keep happy if he wants to have a relationship with this child.

His behavior is in no way, shape or form indicative of lying. It is indicative of how fucked up our culture treats male rape, including pieces of shit like u/hisstriss who lack basic human empathy for men.

Indeed. I was drugged, raped, and left behind a grocery store far from home. I knew that it was wrong somehow, but I didn't identify it as rape until some time later. Years later.

I recognized being drugged was assault, but that was it.

[–]Yuo_cna_Raed_Tihs 14 points15 points16 points 8 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

The guy, like millions of other men, may not be taking his own rape seriously because he's heard all his life that men can't be raped.

This part is interesting. While I agree with it, the interesting thing to note is that a lot of the damage of rape is psychological, but when the victim doesn't take it seriously, they are probably less likely to suffer from stuff like PTSD and whatnot.

So by having this stigma around male rape, we've made it so that men often don't suffer the psychological damages of being raped, BUT the ones who do get royally fucked because they can't talk about it.

[–]st_gulik 4 points5 points6 points 8 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Not true about the PTSD. I woke up during spinal surgery. It was bad. Surgery went fine though. I blew it off and didn't worry about it. Ten years later I had a full blown panic attack flashback while driving my car. I was enroute to the doctor's office for a sinus infection. Yeah. Just because you don't treat it like trauma doesn't mean your brain will ignore it.

I went into therapy (CBT and EMDR) and that has helped me a ton. So yeah.

[–]hosford42 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I woke up for a few seconds while they were breaking a wisdom tooth out of my jaw. I felt no pain and laugh about it now, but your story absolutely terrifies me.

[–]kadivs 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

That's quite different I'd imagine. Wisdom tooth extractions in my country are pretty much never done with full anesthesia (I guess you could request it but I'm not even sure there). For the most part, if you felt no pain, it isn't actually that different to your normal karies drilling, as far as your eyes can see, something most people are unconfortable but familiar with.

source: extracted all 4 with just local anasthesia

[–]hosford42 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Oh, they were impacted. There was a risk of losing sensation in my lower jaw because one tooth was on the verge of cutting through the nerve. They literally had to break the bone to remove the tooth. I had bone fragments coming out of my gums months later. When I woke up during the surgery, the guy was bent over me with something that looked a bit like pliers, and I could hear bone crunching. I could feel pressure and movement deep inside my jaw, but not any actual pain, fortunately. It was pretty gruesome in retrospect, but pales next to waking up during spine surgery.

[–]kadivs 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

to be fair, it seems common practice (or at least it was done with me as well) to break the tooth down into smaller bits before extracting. I had no bone breaking, granted, but that pressure and the crunching is something you have anyway. What I wanted to say is that, at least for common wisdom tooth extraction (you didn't mention bone breaking) it is not that different to normal dentist work (which itself is gruesome but something most people got used to)

[–]mwobuddy -2 points-1 points0 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

All you've really proven is that PTSD is correlated with events but not causated by specific ones. Ergo, if rape, war, surgery, or harsh yelling from your mother all cause PTSD, one can hardly make the claim that the PTSD experienced by rape is proof of its horrific nature.

[–]st_gulik 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

WTF are you trying to argue here jabroni?

[–]mwobuddy -1 points0 points1 point 8 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

If we believe the traumatic after-effects of rape are what make it such a horrific crime that a person deserves 20 years in prison, what about 16-18 years of familial abuse in which fathers or mothers chronically tear down a child's self esteem, capacity for trust in others, or ability to interact in the world without experiencing extreme, debilitating anxiety?

I suggest that adults who have victimized their children by harsh words, by occasional spanks on the bottom, by explosive tempers or extremely critical comments should also spend 20 years in prison if it is found out they do this.

Sure, not all children grow up to be debilitated mental wrecks who can't socialize well and experience chronic PTSD symptoms and anxiety, but, just like all rape victims don't experience PTSD, we're not here to judge those who miraculously are unharmed by the events in their life. We're here to judge people who mentally traumatize others through actions and words. Parents don't even have to be 'that horrific'. They could just have unreliable mood swings, have inconsistent and crazy-making behavior. Have gaslighting and other issues. Things that don't really look that bad in any single instance of the behavior, ugly perhaps, but not something that anyone would be willing to make a CPS call over. But it adds up over time, doesn't it?

Parents who are abusive in words or physically should be sentenced to 20 years prison because the outcomes can be very much the same as the outcomes of rape for any individual. They're essentially the same thing if we consider rape to be "against the mind" of the individual attacked, which is the same way a helpless, dependent child would be attacked by a parent with an explosive temper.

If one looks into the literature of PTSD and child abuse, one finds startling similarities in the resulting symptoms to this as to rape. Therefore it seems obvious we're doing a disservice to children not to punish abusive parents with 20 years.

It turns out rape is not really a unique horrific act with unique horrific consequences. As such, it's nothing special.

[–]beardedheathen 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago* (4 children) | Copy Link

Honestly if that had happened to me, drugged and raped, I don't think it would effect me. I mean if I don't remember it then how can it affect me unless I actively seek to make it hurt me?

Edit: I mean psychologically the fact of the rape itself isn't traumatizing. Yes they're are a lot of horrible complication that can happen as a result of it and those are legitimately horrible.

[–]LoicyT 6 points7 points8 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

if I don't remember it then how can it affect me

STDs?

Rapist has a jealous boyfriend?

Your rapist could say you raped her?

You are in a relationship and the rape tricks your girlfriend into thinking you cheated?

You got raped in public and police charge you with indecent exposure?

[–]mwobuddy 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Yes, but these are all possibilities and not realities until they're verified.

[–]LoicyT 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Possibilities is the point.

[–]lily-mae 3 points4 points5 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well you could end up with a rape baby and having to saddle your life to some crazy bitch who used you as her sperm donor..?

[–]Umthingsandstuff 8 points9 points10 points 8 years ago* (23 children) | Copy Link

The husband straight up tell the wife he was drugged and raped and then says he doesn't want to "ruin her life" by pressing charges so he know it was rape and wrong and the severity of pressing charges against her. Instead just shrugged and didn't even try and press charges .

[–]EeeeeeevilMan 21 points22 points23 points 8 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

And when she turns on the waterworks and says: "No he took those drugs willingly. He just doesn't remember."

How seriously do you think the cops will take it then? After they stop laughing at a man reporting rape, I mean.

Not to mention, he's probably legit scared of her. She's a woman who's sociopathic enough to drug-rape someone. What else do you think she's capable of? She's absolutely capable of crying rape back in retaliation. And people would believe her.

[–]FeierInMeinHose 3 points4 points5 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

There's also the very real possibility that he's got battered wife/person syndrome or some form of Stockholm syndrome.

[–]Umthingsandstuff 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago* (3 children) | Copy Link

Not sure what the cops are like where you are from but the cops where I live take both male and female rape victims seriously.

If he was legit scared of her then he probably would have said that to his wife instead of saying he doesn't want to "ruin her life". If he went and got a drug/rape test done the day his friend told him he had sex with someone at the party then the results would of shown the drugs used and make it alot harder for her to then cry rape against him.

[–]Anon4comment 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

...would have said that to

When did people start confusing have/of ?

[–]Umthingsandstuff 4 points5 points6 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Thanks for the gramma lesson, mistakes can happen we not proof reading a comment before posting.

As for your question, people have been confusing the two for a long time, and the common cause seems to stem from the abbreviation of would have to would've, which when spoken sounds more like "would of" than "would have" and so people then use the wrong wording without thinking.

[–]Anaxagoras23 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's one of those things that's been around for a very long time but it's more obvious when people communicate casually in a written format. The shift is essentially

I would have said.

-> I would've said.

-> I would of said.

You don't tend to see it in situations where "have" would have been used on it's own or only outside of contractions, like "I have a dollar" or "I have said so before".

[–]LoicyT 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

when she turns on the waterworks and says: "No he took those drugs willingly. He just doesn't remember." How seriously do you think the cops will take it then?

Probably not as serious as they continue to take women who don't remember consenting to taking drugs.

Or hell, even when women admit they took drugs willingly they still get rape charges passed.

Charges not chargers.

[–]Umthingsandstuff 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Thanks for take the time out of your day to point out my spelling mistake instead of offering your thoughts on the post or the comments.

[–]DrunkenHooker 5 points6 points7 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

My thoughts? I think he was a moron. He should have immediately charged her with rape and if he wanted the child demand full custody as a person that is in prison can't really raise a kid. If all that failed then he can walk away in a symbolic abortion of his rape baby. He isn't obligated to either of those people in any way. Also you asked me to point out my thoughts or opinions on the posts or comments so here's my thought on the comments. It's charges not chargers. When you get the basic stuff wrong it undermines your credibility and makes you look stupid. Instead of getting your back up about it say thanks I never knew that was the word. Live and learn.

[–]Umthingsandstuff 4 points5 points6 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Thanks for your thoughts and I agree with you that he really should have reported the rape immediately.

As for the spelling mistake. I'm on mobile and use predictive text and my phone defaults to chargers instead of charges. I don't really pay attention every predictive word when writing replies on reddit. It's not that I didn't know the word. Which is why I didn't feel like thanking you. But thanks anyway.

[–]DrunkenHooker 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Hmm I would still have said sorry I didn't see that I was on my mobile, thanks! But I'm canadian so ya... thanks for the belated thanks!

Way to contribute to the conversation. Pick out a spelling error. Go you!

[–]DrunkenHooker 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's not a spelling error when it's done wrong several times in a row it's that he didnt know what the actual word is.

You remember how feminists say "listen and believe?"

[–]Umthingsandstuff -3 points-2 points-1 points 8 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

They also say to always report rape. Instead he chose to defend the rapist.

[–]JestyerAverageJoe 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Got it. Any woman that fails immediately to report a rape is lying.

You know why so many men have trouble coming forward about sexual assault? Because when men say they've been raped, people say they don't believe them, and men are told they can't be raped, so they internalize the rape and blame themselves.

You're a fucking disgusting hypocritical bag of shit.

You are responsible for making rape acceptable and defending rapists.

You are rape culture.

You personally, /u/Umthingsandstuff. You are poisoning the world with your existence. Every breath you take is a breath wasted on a sociopath.

[–]Umthingsandstuff 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

he wasn't afraid to say he was raped he told his friend and wife as soon his friend informed him he had sex at the party the previous night, and then proceeded to not press charges because he didn't want to ruin the girls life, not because he didn't think the cops would believe him.

Rape is not ok, and not reporting rape allows the rapist to remain free and potentially rape again. I want more victims to not be afraid to come forward and report rape as soon as possible. The longer it takes to report the harder it becomes to prove and sadly the less people will believe it.

[–]JestyerAverageJoe 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Then fix the glitch by either believing male rape victims unconditionally or by ceasing to speak on this issue permanently so that you stop making it hostile for men to come forward and admit that they have been raped.

Consider a male rape victim, already unbelieved, mocked, laughed at, told that he can't have been raped. Imagine him going online, trying to find support, and finding you instead. Imagine him reading your horrible toxic bullshit, internalizing it, deciding he's at fault, and that his rapist isn't guilty.

Take a long fucking look in the mirror, because you might be responsible for someone taking his life someday due to your toxicity and victim blaming.

The way you exist today makes the world a worse place. You barely qualify as human garbage.

People like you are why men are unable to be believed. You are spreading this poison. End it.

[–]Umthingsandstuff 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Thanks for the insults, and even sounds like you are telling me to kill myself.

In a perfect world there is be no rape allegations to believe unconditionally, but in an almost perfect world your right we should believe all victims unconditionally, unfortunately as it has been shown multiple times in this sub that there are false allegations against people. Those people make it harder for the real victims, but also means that when someone talk about being raped and the information doesn't line up, then questions need to be asked to be able to get a clear understanding of the situation and how to proceed with it.

Rape should not be believed unconditionally every time, it should be approached on a case by case basis. Innocent men and women would go to jail if we believed everything unconditionally.

I had no intention of being hostile to rape victims, and I apologise if that is what happened. which is why the main point of my comments have been that victims should speak up and report their rapists, they should not internalise the blame or protect their rapist.

[–]mwobuddy 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah. the whole "I was raped but I don't want to ruin someone's life" thing comes from slutty girlfriends who aren't actually raped...

you should see what this piece of shit /u/hisstriss is saying:

Rape survivors don't fawn over their rapists, even with a baby in the picture.

I love how these POS wanna be "experts on rape" do not actually have CLUE #1 about the dynamics of rape, outside of the whole "aggressive man penile-rapes woman" scenario.

Rape survivors DO "fawn over their rapists" sometimes -- nobody likes to talk about it, but this routinely happens with kids, for example, who are being abused/molested.

It also happens when a victim is emotionally messed up, or just doesn't know enough to realise that what is happening to them is a crime. And THAT is exactly the type of person who is chosen as a victim by a lot of predators.

And bingo, re battered wives/rape victims moving back in with their abusive SO's. Spot on... so why do those women get a pass, but this guy is automatically suspicious for giving a damn about a child that his biological offspring?

If you follow Sulkowicz's timeline what actually happened was more that she and Nungresser were "friends with benefits" until he was away from her for the summer and met somebody else, then decided he was in a formal relationship with that somebody else. It really seemed like they were basically a couple in every working sense, complete with endearments and expressions of love, but while pretending they didn't have a commitment or relationship. Once he decided he was willing to commit to someone else she started tossing around allegations. It was pretty clearly a spurned lover's revenge.

...no. I mean like, very young or naive or emotionally immature people don't always realise that non-consensual or heavily coerced sex is actually 'rape', especially if it doesn't involve stereotypical brutality. The way, say, a young schoolboy might go along with female teacher's sexual desires for a while, or a young girl might seek out that 25 years older man again, because he fulfils some damaged part of her. It doesn't mean the offender was any less a predator. That's what I mean.

I do not think this man trying to keep in good with the 'owner' of his child is quite the same thing but there's definitely a severe power imbalance there.

[+]mwobuddy -6 points-5 points-4 points 8 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

or a young girl might seek out that 25 years older man again, because he fulfils some damaged part of her.

So people can only desire others sexually if they're 'damaged'?

...no. I mean like, very young or naive or emotionally immature people don't always realise that non-consensual or heavily coerced sex is actually 'rape', especially if it doesn't involve stereotypical brutality.

But that becomes legal after 18.

I note that you skirted my point with these red herrings. You said rape survivors do fawn over their rapists. In that case, maybe mattress girl wasn't a liar, but was begging for the dick of her rapist days after it happened because she was 'young and naive'. Therefore should could actually be a rape victim and still want to fuck her rapist again.

According to you she may not be lying about having been raped. He might have actually raped her, despite no one believing that he did. And all because she felt raped but still chased after his dick.

Let's go back to this red herring:

or a young girl might seek out that 25 years older man again, because he fulfils some damaged part of her. It doesn't mean the offender was any less a predator.

Suppose she grew up, hits 30, and wants to fuck every guy she can find. Because of this 'damaged part of her'. Is she being predated upon by all those men who think they've hit the lottery? Suppose a man is just prowling for sex. That's all he wants, and she, being 'damaged', chases this guy down for a quick fuck in an alley the same night they meet. Is he predating on her because he's taking advantage of her 'being damaged', despite not knowing about it?

Take your power dynamic theory back to the cuckland of Marxist-informed feminists, please.

Power Games?

He then examines the psychological underpinnings of the postmodern worldview

“There are no shortage of flaws in the manner in which we’ve structured our society and compared to any hypothetical Utopia is an absolutely dismal wreck. But compared to the rest of the world and the plight of other societies throughout the history of mankind we’re doing pretty damn well and we should be happy to be living in the society that we’re living at. So the first thing that you might want to note about postmodernism is that it doesn’t have a shred of gratitude. And there’s something pathologically wrong with a person like that. It doesn’t have any gratitude especially when they live in what so far is the best of all possible worlds.

And so if you’re not grateful you’re driven by resentment, and resentment is the worst emotion that you can possibly experience apart from arrogance. Resentment, arrogance and deceit. There is an evil triad for you and if you’re bitter about everything that’s happening around you despite the fact that you’re bathed in wealth, relatively, then there’s something absolutely wrong with you.” If the ideology of postmodernism and ‘oppression’ is partial, and mistaken in many key aspects, what is the truth? He argues that the reduction of western society to mere ‘power games’ is a gross simplification and a distortion.

Like JP has said, Marxists had to re-brand under the guise of post-modernism.

But I've read the suffragette literature of the 1800's to 1900's. They discuss everything in terms of oppression, oppressor, predator, prey, class, etc. They took everything from Marxism. The feminist movement has been Marxist since its beginnings. Right or wrong. They INVENTED the concept of Power Dynamic as prelude to sexual predation.

You're hiding your reasoning behind specious and unverified claims (she's 'damaged' otherwise she wouldn't want to fuck that person 25 years older than her, there can't be another biological reason), and flowery language that has all the underpinnings of post-modernist re-branding of age of consent's reason for being.

Prior to current era, Age of consent repeatedly came under attack as being unnecessary and harmful. Every time, a gender-biased ruling was applied to keep age of consent going. Pregnancy. In Suffragette literature, they claimed 21 year old women were still child-like and naive in mind and the AoC should be 21. But they only got it to 16-18 due to OPPOSITION to it being raised at all.

(Notice that in stark contrast to their view that women were every bit men's equals, apparently at 21 they're still children in mind and need protecting by the state? How do you reconcile this glaring contradiction in their belief system? The only way I can do so is to consider that they want people to give them all the benefits of equality with none of the responsibilities or dangers, as an exceptionally human class above normal people, e.g. males).

In their world view, a male under 18 didn't enter into the equation for age of consent. They never fought for a male's 'right to not be predated', because their logic was that men predate against women (agan, see oppressor and oppressed via marxism), and as such, males under 18 didn't need it.

The age of consent was equalized in the late 20th century due to hysteria over homosexuals. Once again, it was homosexual MEN predating on under-18 males. That needed to stop. It did not even enter into the minds of feminists or legislators that males under 18 were being predated by women, and why?

What feminists never sought for was women being held equally accountable, because you don't hold the oppressed group accountable.

The entire AoC was built on Power Dynamic theory stolen from Marxism and now transcends the past in a post-modernist philosophy of why "its just bad if you violate age of consent law okay" by calling up "power imbalance" time and time again, as if that solves every single question of why it's wrong or not.

I'm not biting into your bullshit sandwich, thank you. Use reason.

[–]lily-mae 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

.. yeah, I'm not a feminist. I'm pretty much leaning pretty hard toward to MRA/true equality politics.

I'm not arguing that women should not be held accountable, lol.

My sole point was, some rape/molestation victims don't realise they're being victimised right away, especially the young ones, and especially if the act was the result of predatory coercion. In those cases, sometimes there is a weird relationship with the abuser, and sometimes they don't report because they fear damaging whole families.

Ain't budging on that, sorry. Just cause, you know, it's a fact.

Am not going anywhere either. So maybe ya gotta just put your big boy pants on over that too.

you know whats funny? Suppose all the people that read this sub also read and comment on the other sub. Suppose 100 people were chronic posters of both subs. Then suppose someone posts this OP here and 100 people, who frequent both subs, start attacking the disgusting responses in the OP that's on the /relationships sub.

Now it looks like brigading because they frequent both subs and it was cross posted? Or is it not brigading because they were already around that sub commenting daily?

Brigading is a false claim designed to silence dissenting opinion and enact punishments for going against status quo values of a particular sub. Its a slimy tactic.

[–]mwobuddy -3 points-2 points-1 points 8 years ago (21 children) | Copy Link

oh you're bullshit.

When mattress girl made up rape claims, when UVA had rape claims that were false, people pointed to the fact that the girl was still begging for his cock later on.

[–]5th_Law_of_Robotics 5 points6 points7 points 8 years ago (20 children) | Copy Link

He wasn't begging to fuck her. Sounds like he just helped out with the kid.

[–]mwobuddy -1 points0 points1 point 8 years ago (19 children) | Copy Link

you should see what this piece of shit /u/hisstriss is saying:

Rape survivors don't fawn over their rapists, even with a baby in the picture.

let's all remember this next time someone claims battered spouses don't stay with their abusers, or rape victims don't refuse to press charges and get back with their rapists over and over. let's remember this next time some loudmouthed fuck like this moron claims all rape victims respond to their trauma differently and don't follow some preconceived course of action.

What u/myalias1 is trying to say is that some people DO 'fawn over their rapists'.

Hence bringing up mattress girl. She did the same thing, does that mean she was actually telling the truth about being raped, because u/myass1 was suggesting that some rape victims DO want their rapists back?

[–]5th_Law_of_Robotics 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

Fawning over the mother of your child is different than what mattress girl did.

[–]mwobuddy -1 points0 points1 point 8 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

so youre assertion is that in certain circumstances, a rape victim fawns over their rapist, and in other circumstances, a person claiming rape is just a damn liar who craves more of the dick even though they're fawning over their alleged rapist.

[–]myalias1 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago* (8 children) | Copy Link

you seem pretty desperate to just be a contrarian, instead of just reading and comprehending what others are saying.

[–]mwobuddy 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago* (7 children) | Copy Link

That in no way argued against the point. Person A implies that yes, rape victims can fawn over their rapists after the fact, and yet we all believe mattress girl was lying through her teeth about being raped because of the fact that she'd sent cock begging texts after the claimed day of the rape.

[–]myalias1 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

You're refusing to comprehend the comments pointing out your misuse of the word fawning though.

[–]mwobuddy 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

displaying exaggerated flattery or affection; obsequious.

Im sorry, you haven't pointed it out, you're making a claim without backing it up. Try again.

[–]myalias11 point 8 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

And you think this applies to the relationships poster?

[–]mwobuddy1 point 8 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

You started this by pointing out hisstiss is some piece of shit for suggesting that 'victims never fawn over their abusers, rape victims to rapists, spousal abused to abuser, etc'. You clearly were making a big sarcastic stink over it, which implicitly states the opposite, that yes rape victims can 'fawn' over their abusers. Therefore, it casts doubt over whether mattress girl is really lying since she claimed rape but was found to be 'fawning'.

Or is this a rule you invoke whimsically? Are you suggesting mattress girl could also really be a rape victim despite her texts afterwards craving cock? Yes or no? If you say yes, you're at least consistent with your implication. If you say no, you're whimsical.

[–]myalias11 point 8 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

My overarching point was hisstriss is in the camp who always claims rape victims do not act or react a certain way, but then she proceeded to claim they do...I was calling out her side's hypocrisy primarily.

Personally, I do believe people act and react to trauma in different ways, and your own point that maybe Emily's later texts aren't the best evidence that a rape did not occur, but man you really presented your position in an awful fucking manner. Delivery matters in discussion. A post asking the community to honestly review and discuss this topic would be interesting and worthwhile, but you need to raise it thoughtfully, appropriately, and well-delivered.

And they're tearing him down in that thread for trying to take care of his kid.

[–]Michaelllllll 7 points8 points9 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

What was that thread about?

[–]Parenting 5 points6 points7 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

The husband of the OP of that thread constantly PM'd me assuming that I was the administrator of /r/Parenting. Initially, I ignored all of his PM's, but eventually, they got out of hand and he started to get more aggressive because I didn't respond, so I responded with:

I banned you for discussion of drugs. Stop pretending like you don't know why you were banned; next time I'll call the cops. Also, send nudes of your wife.

He thought I was serious and his wife created the thread that I had linked previously.

I stayed out of the thread, but apparently, it backfired on them because the community took my side instead of theirs.

He then responded with:

Reddit admins have been notified of your abhorrent use of the mod system and the unfortunate privilege you have been afforded. If it is deemed necessary to contact the authorities then I strongly encourage it so we can properly clear this up in a way that is not disrespectful or untrue in nature. I made no mention of any drugs that were not properly prescribed, and taken as directed. Nor did I mention the abuse of any drugs. And unnecessarily bringing my wife into this in such a disrespectful way is uncalled for. The only even remotely insulting thing I said in my conversations with the mod is I called them a weiner. Which alone does not warrant the kind of response I have received. Although I doubt it, I really hope action against you and the position on reddit that you hold is taken.

I responded with:

That's it. I was going to let you back into the subreddit but now you're PERMANENTLY BANNED FROM /r/KnightsOfPineapple ! DON'T EVER COME BACK AGAIN. TAKE YOU AND YOUR DRUG DISCUSSION ELSEWHERE.

After that, he realized that I had no affiliation with the subreddit and it all came slapping him in the face like a warm banana peel. He also assumed his mistake in messaging me was an error in reddit's coding. It isn't. He just didn't know the difference between /u/ and /r/.

Firstly, you're a fuckin shitty dickhole. Second, I'm sure I'm not the first person that this bug has effected and that's messaged you instead of the r/parenting mods by mistake, so why the fuck haven't you or any one else ever reported this problem to the real mods or to reddit admins before so as to not have this bullshit happen again? And thirdly, I strongly emphasize again that you're a fucking shitty dickhole for this. Get a fuckin job.

He actually got perma-banned from /r/Parenting after this. It's definitely not what I wanted, nor expected, but apparently he was pretty toxic.

Summary of all the upvoted comments: "men who say they were raped by women are really just cheaters making things up"

There are so many ignorant people there saying "if he were really raped, he wouldn't be okay with letting his rapist raise his child or giving her money". Do they really think that in these scenarios a man actually has a choice in the matter? The only way for him to get full custody and keep the child away from the mother would be for him to have his rapist legally convicted of rape or sexual assault (and even then, there's no guarantee)

The people there are talking like this is an easy thing to do, like "well, why wouldn't he just keep the child and get his rapist in jail if he was raped? Checkmate!" They clearly know nothing about what it's actually like to be a man or boy raped by a woman in a society where the odds are entirely stacked against him

It's like saying "In a set of one and two, one is far more odd then any other number!"

[+]LennonForPresident -15 points-14 points-13 points 8 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Well it's not really a hyperbole because there are more than 2 genders. scientifically there are more than 2. So it's to be taken literally.

[–]Arizth 14 points15 points16 points 8 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

... Uh... You know what, I'm just going g to no engage. I don't see a conversation here panning out well when you make absurd claims like "scientifically there are more then two genders".

You, uh, you have fun.

[+]LennonForPresident -11 points-10 points-9 points 8 years ago* (3 children) | Copy Link

lol. I'm not for the 65 genders or whatever, but you can be born with both, none, fused. These are scientifically recognised as different genders at birth.

Downvoters I don't understand, you can be born with different sexual organs, sometimes both which scientifically is a different gender. That's literally basic science.

[–]Arizth 8 points9 points10 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Those are sexes, mate. Humans have two functional sexes and a small variety of genetic fuck ups.

Gender is defined as a series of actions and expectations enforced by the social contract, and gender roles are a subset of that contract. The social contract in most of the world has two genders. It, very rarely, has three, and that third is always more of a social class.

Ergo, two genders. You can buck the trend and reject the social contract, but you can't change it unless you get a majority vote to go along with it.

[–]beardedheathen -3 points-2 points-1 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You just said there can be three. Like we get it, traditional gender roles but this is just trying to be purposefully obtuse about a simple phrase.

[–]This_is_my_phone_tho 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

it's a semantic nightmare that I think you're on the wrong side of.

[–]hork23 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]electricalnoise 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Not just that, he's actually going above and beyond (imo) by actually making an effort. I don't know that i would in his situation. And then they use that against the poor fucking guy.

People are such shit to each other.

[–]CivilityBeDamned 15 points16 points17 points 8 years ago (21 children) | Copy Link

I don't understand a gender difference. If you get raped you have a duty to report it and try to stop that person from doing it to others. Yeah, that might be unpleasant. Too bad. Either do your unpleasant duty, or you are an accomplice to the next rape.

[–]lily-mae 9 points10 points11 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Shit is not always that simple. People are ashamed/afraid.. maybe there's fear ridicule, of blowing up innocent lives around the offender (his/her spouse and kids, even the innocent family of the offender..) - you can discount the impact all of that might have, but in reality a lot of rapes go unreported because the consequences of reporting seem vastly overwhelming to someone who's already traumatised/scared/confused.

And that goes for male or female victims.

[–]CivilityBeDamned 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Shame, fear, ridicule, embarrassment...

Verus

An unknown number of other people getting raped in the future.

Easy call for me. Sucks for the rapists family, but they are his victims in this situation, not the person who prevents the perpetuation of his behavior.

[–]PM_ME_COCKS_CUMMING 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Yes you are correct that is the rational decision. You might be on to something here, we just have to make all humans behave perfectly rationally and it'll solve a lot of problems 🤔

[–]CivilityBeDamned 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'll be the first one to say that the treatment of rape victims and the attitude that their families may often receive is just as cruel, illogical and barbaric as the thought process that enables someone to let a rapist go free with no effort on their part. Probably significantly more so, as it creates the second issue.

That doesn't change any facts though. A rape victim is forced into a terrible choice of self-sacrifice versus the sacrifice of others in the future.

[–]Physical_removal 4 points5 points6 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That's internalized misandry for you. The guy doesn't see himself as a victim nearly as much as he would expect a woman to.

And frankly, I don't either, because that's just the mental conditioning. Intellectually I know he is the victim of a horrendous crime just as if the genders were reversed, but emotionally it just doesn't feel that way.

[–]LoicyT 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

do your unpleasant duty, or you are an accomplice to the next rape.

Um no, being assaulted does not invest you with special duties you never consented to take up.

You have the FREEDOM to do that, but in no way do I obligate rape victims to report or blame them for future rapes.

What's next, if a guy mugs me, I have a duty to tackle him to prevent him from mugging someone else?

I'd say you have a duty to report him. You don't seem like the sort that has enough spine to tackle anyone.

[–]LoicyT 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Or he kills another mugger about to kill a family member.

By "see" I figure you mean the film adaptation. Okay...

A guy "robbing" a corrupt wrestling promotion isn't necessarily bad. For all Peter knew it was another performer who got stiffed at a previous event. Peter had no obligation to help the man who just robbed him keep his stolen money. Especially when the guy taking it in all likelihood was a victim based on what Peter knew about the promoter.

[–]CivilityBeDamned 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Don't take it personally. I've seen probably a dozen people claim they were raped after drinking too much on an empty stomach, and none had a positive drug test. Your story smells bad because every single part of it seems unlikely and the fact that you were too lazy or enabling to apparently get a lawyer, drug test, or any actual evidence you could use to take any sort of meaningful action besides telling the story online for points.

Go ahead and name the officers involved on an throwaway. Post the test with your name blacked out. Hell, I'll even call the officers involved personally because I fucking hate shitty cops.

The woman who raped him should do a post.

"I could tell this guy was in to me and I was ready to have a baby but he kept saying no so I helped him along with a little 'something extra' I added to his drink. Don't worry, I was able to make it work even though he was unconscious. Anyway a miracle happened and we're having a baby together even though he stuck with his insane story that he didn't consent just because he was drugged. Anyway his homewrecker bitch of a 'girlfriend' is totally fucking with our lives. What should I do?"

I'm guessing they'd side with her and insist she take him to court for what he did to her.

That is what the husband told the wife. It was part of his story.

And I'll reply with the same thing since you're too lazy to read the entire thread even after being told to.

Yet here you are whining about an anonymous self post. If you find it rather unbelievable that is fine but that is all you have to say. Don't pretend you are some sort of enlightened thinker because think you saw through the clever ruse of the poster.

Maybe not the #1 priority here but can we take a minute to appreciate this guy's wife? Man gets raped physically and financially and his wife believes him, supports him, and works with him. I know we shouldn't have to appreciate this so much, but in a world where gender roles are as they are it's nice to see an example of a truly wonderful woman. Especially against the backdrop of the horrible ones we know exist.

[–]pteawesome 12 points13 points14 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

feminists long got rid of that for sexual assault allegations when it's a man on the chopping block.. certain legislations and case laws that make an accusers sexual history not admissible, arrest the man first laws, and ingrained propaganda of "if you're drunk you got raped" "if you're both drunk the man raped you", and it's completely free consequence for women to make false allegations, so it becomes a tool to use as revenge... it's no longer about guilt as it is about an agenda.

[–]TheMeisterAce 56 points57 points58 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

That place is full of retards. It is like the pathetic and uninteresting Jerry Springer show. The OP is not the guy discussed but his wife. Otherwise I would go throw in my two cents with that gaggle of harpies.

Part of the issue is that men do not discuss this stuff. There is no balance between being a man and discussing the trespasses against our liberties and rights. If we bring it up it is viewed as being weak.

Men need to change that dynamic and approach things in such a way that we support each other from strength while maintaining our self-image.

In reality military men are preyed upon relentlessly. They are slut magnets and the sluts only have dollar signs in their eyes. As a veteran I would strongly recommend that you don't fuck with the women around military bases.

I saw an imgur album that was a Facebook comment thread about a woman trying to trick a Marine into getting her pregnant. I love how you would literally get banned for saying this stuff

I am not denying the possibility that your wife's story is true... But I am suspicious, because it's full of holes. Her reaction to the ordeal is very, very strange if what she's telling you is the truth. It seems she is actually supporting her rapist and their illegitimate child.

It sounds like she's been all too happy to shower her rapist with financial aid and visits.

Okay, aside from all the comments about the dubiousness of whether or not your wife was assaulted or complicit in the creation of this kid - neither here nor there, kid exists.

I hate to be a skeptic, but are you sure the story of the baby's conception is true? Because there are plenty of reasons to think it might not be, most significantly the fact she doesn't seem angry or hurt by this. Of course, sexual assault is complicated and different people react differently ... but it sounds like she isn't reacting at all.

But because the genders are reversed, it's 100% a-okay. And this last one here, good lord.

pfff honestly i would consider leaving the chick, i dont believe the assault story for a second, i'm sorry.

/u/Stappern you are a certified, genuine bag of shit. Your response to someone being raped is literally "pfff just leave 'em"? Are you serious? That's the kind of shit I would expect from angry basement dwellers on /b/.

If you defend males. You get banned. If you defend females, you get praises.

Guess what I heard today on the radio? So apparently a wife killed her husband after she burned the casserole and he got pissed off about it. The two DJs, one male, one female, started joking about how he deserved it, not in explicit words but how they were joking like "I hope she told him to make it himself, but he wouldn't be able to because he was dead, haha... I wonder if she just sat there and ate the casserole with his corpse. I would... I'd go to prison for multiple life sentences for what I'd do to the corpse after I killed him..."

And among all this they're laughing about it, because 'abusive man' 'gets his' by hands of put-upon wife.

If you're a man, you're a deserving object to direct violence at. That's what society has told us for centuries.

Most of the people on that thread have no idea what they're talking about. Just look at the comments trying to get the rapist-in-question to admit it or it didn't happen ffs. My son was conceived because I was raped and I can see how men and women would deal with it in different ways emotionally if they are in that situation. It also doesn't make me the resident expert some people on that thread think they are. In my case I HAVE to accept child support from him. I never claimed for it and tried to refuse it, and csa said if I refuse to accept it I would get monitored as I would not be looking after him properly (because $7/week makes so much difference apparently). If a man fathers a child as a result of being raped he's still going to be expected to pay cs, proving that a rape occurred doesn't absolve legal parentage like was suggested multiple times. Dudes just trying to be a good dad in terms of wanting to spend time with his child and pay for things for him too. Also I have found in my situation my relationship to my son is much more complex. I don't know if that is a gender difference though.

And a lot of worst ones are coming from a self-identified rape victim, to boot --- who apparently believes only victims of rapes like her own experience deserve not to have the rape referred to as "rape". That got me so damn mad. I hope she reads some of these comments and has a bit of a deeper look at herself AND the shit agenda she's clearly bought into.

Oh yeah. /u/hisstriss's individual experience of a rape apparently invalidates all others. Tbh I doubt she's even experienced one. She probably just lied because she was actually cheating on her partner.

Funny thing is anger towards your attacker is less common than shame, guilt and confusion in those situations. Ironically, everyone criticises this guy for not acting like a rape victim and that is exactly what he's doing. He seems confused, ashamed and appears to feel guilty. He's protecting his abuser which is also very common behaviour. The reality is, if you admit you were raped you have to face something far more awful than if you convince yourself it was your decisions that led to the event. If you accept that you were attacked, guess what? Now you're not safe. You're not in control. You're vulnerable and anyone could attack you. As men that's a pretty horrible idea we're never really raised to face. Nobody is but men, particularly, are raised to believe in their own agency, strength and independence. I mean, sure... He could be lying. If he is, he's an asshole. That doesn't make everyone else in that thread not assholes, even if they are right.

I feel really bad for this couple but especially that man. Looks like he's going to lose his family because someone attacked him. Not to mention being bound to supporting two different women who treated him poorly. Hopefully his current partner doesn't listen to those assholes and looks after him properly.

[–]lily-mae 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Good post, and very astute in identifying some pf the the motives behind that kind of almost 'stockholm syndrome' some victims act out.

It does seem his present partner is a really caring person.

[–]pacmatt27 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Thankyou. As I say I'm a psychologist and that pattern of behaviour is really common in victims of abuse. Anger is actually the last thing people usually feel and comes long after the event - usually when they start to reach acceptance and, with it, comes fear. Only natural that victims try to protect themselves from that by rationalising their abuse.

I hope so. I suppose I'll never know but it would break my heart to know things got worse for him after all that hurt. Still, all one can do is try to prevent further harm!

[–]JestyerAverageJoe 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]Nubere008 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I read a similar discussion on Imgur in which a woman declared that men can not be raped because "men enjoy it, it doesn't hurt men like it does women".

[–]Tooclosetokyle 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Holy fuck, those comments are infuriating. What a bunch of fucktards.

[–]dontsnap 5 points6 points7 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Only bad dads get raped, everyone knows that.

It's why I'm the meanest pappy in the projects and I get all the pussy, even the pussy I don't want!

Now I ain't stupid, tryin' to be a good dad to all them dick sneezes, like this fool.

I tell them "Get the hell out of here, I ain't your daddy," just like my daddy told me.

I want to be pissed off and angry....but i just feel sad. I'm doing my best to bring awareness to men and women's problems with each other and make sure people know that everyone has it terrible and that we should help whoever we can, but it just feels hopeless. Like I'm talking to a fucking wall. I don't feel like I'm accomplishing anything and since I physically fit the mra stereotype I'm constantly dismissed offhand. I know we're doing well overall, but feminism has really fucked things up....for everyone. Men and women. Just look at us....at each other's throats because they can't or won't stop lying and they won't take any responsibility for anything and we are constantly portrayed as some women hating cult.

Idk man, what the fuck is going on?

Thank goodness you all saw it for what it really was.

Don't tell the feminists or they'll be outraged over this actual rape culture and.... Ahahaha!

Yeah right.

[–]CyanAlpaca 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Im not sure anyone of the women there thought of this, but I feel like him doing everything she says is easier than outright deny in her what she wants. Why? Because all it takes is for her to say "He raped me!" And both of their lives are over. Husband goes to prison, Wife loses husband while a few months pregnant and she'll just be without because someone got vindictive and didnt get what she wanted. The guy's friend saw he was unconcious too, so WHY didnt he go in and tell her "Yo, get the fuck off him, he's knocked the fuck out!"? I'm confused by that part.

[–]Throwawayhelper420 3 points4 points5 points 8 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

I've been thinking this the entire time. If he did go and report her like those dumbasses think is so easy to do I 100000% guarantee you that she would come around and say, "Not true he raped me!!!" and then who is law enforcement to believe? The woman who is clearly the victim or the man who belongs to a class that cannot ever be raped no matter what?

This woman has already proven herself to be ultra manipulative. He reports her, he goes to jail, simple as that.

I believe the other guy didn't knock the bitch off because he didn't recognize it as his friend as the OP stated and men don't really get involved with that aspect because they are conditioned to believe a man cannot be raped, so that dude, even if he doesn't know what's happening, probably thinks the dude will probably be happy the next morning that he got drugged and sperm milked...

[–]Dank_Meems 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Go figure, a bunch of betas and females don't believe that a man got raped and has feelings. I wonder why men don't give a fuck anymore....Hmmmmmmmm, it's a mystery.............

[–]MagicTampon2 points 8 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

That guy needs to get a paternity test.

Basically at the party, a woman named Emma started talking to him, drugged his drink, and took advantage of him. My husband found out the day after because a friend told him he found him unconscious and saw earlier Emma on top of him on the bed but didn't realize it was him until later. Manuel didn't report her because he didn't want to "ruin her life" and so the law never got involved.

It's a little unclear to me whether the OP is precisely describing a rape.

  • Hard to know for sure if a drink was actually adulterated without toxicology to back it up. What the evidence for this?

  • His friend told him he saw him unconscious, but that earlier he saw the girl on top of him. Was he unconscious when she was on top of him? If not, was he legally incapacitated or just drunk?

Regardless, pretty shitty of the kid's mom not to undergo an abortion for a pregnancy conceived in this way.

Not saying that it was or was not a rape. I'm just saying, you can't really tell for sure aside from the claim made without specific arguments provided.

Unfortunately though, that seems to be the paradigm these days with victimhood -- listen and believe.

Except of course when the feminist doesn't like the conclusion that a man can be raped:

But I am suspicious, because it's full of holes.

His reaction to the ordeal is very, very strange if what he's telling you is the truth. It seems he is actually supporting his mistress and their illegitimate child.

I agree with you, the poster who said this is a complete idiot. Legally, the poor guy has literally no choice but to pay money to the woman. Basically, she's holding his child hostage.

Provided, of course, that it is his child. Which comes back again to the issue of the paternity test. Why was it not done?

Ignorant really, that it hasn't been.

The baby has his caramel skin tone and looks a lot like his baby pictures and she's white like me so I'm positive it's his baby as well.

And now we turn to so-called "comprehensive" sex education still allows such ignorance to persist & to go unchecked.

What the baby looks like is totally irrelevant. The only way to be sure that a child is the child of a man, is a DNA paternity test.

Unfortunately, so-called "comprehensive" sex education in liberal schools conspires to keep males as ignorant as possible about their rights and so-called responsibilities. Given that men are often lulled into thinking that they've been taught what they need to know ("comprehensive") when they've been kept ignorant all of the most important facts, it's safe to say the "comprehensive" sex education as provided by liberal school professors is worse than no sex education at all. No child should be given a false sense of security by being told they have been educated about something, when by design they are not.

They accuse him of cheating but women statistically cheat more and apparently men are raped as much/more than women

[–]Crusader_1096 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Can I get a link for this (the cheating part)? I've always suspected it was true but have never seen an actual study on it.

[–]globalistissimo 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

There are legitimate reasons to doubt his story though ...

[–]Corruptdead 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Let's not forget the people in the comments making it about race.

[–]-redditardation- 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's not blaming the victim when the victim is a man because men can't be victims.

  • Thank the SJWs for this, CURRENT YEAR of course

Good on the guy for not letting another person suffer because he himself has been hurt and wronged.

[–]Jordioa18 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Seriously, the people doubting he got raped or implying the rape didn't really happen/was a rape, are legitimately bad fucking people.

Women get raped: "Listen and Believe! (C)"

Men get raped: "Was he really raped?", "This seems fabricated" ect ect.

[–]PolkaDotGourd 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

In this case a propel gathering of information would be the first first of action

[–]SocietopathyObserved 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Oh my god, this very upvoted comment:

pfff honestly i would consider having an abortion and leaving the dude, i dont believe the assault story for a second, i'm sorry.

i think in this case the simplest solution is the right one, he got intoxicated, got laid and got the lady pregnant, with the help of a friend.

this whole thing looks like a shitfest, i don't think you deserve it, run.

There was another comment responding to someone else's skepticism that was all "Yeah, that was my immediate reaction too."

Woman makes allegation? LISTEN AND BELIEVE

Man makes allegation? "I don't believe it for a second, he was just stepping out." and "Yeah, skepticism was my first reaction too."

God dammit.

Everything about that story sounds like pure bullshit, TBF.

The submitter should have dumped his ass when he wouldn't report the rape. Decided to hang around and stay in a relationship with someone who enables a rapist and wants to support and protect them? No fuckin way.

[–]Blugaboo 16 points17 points18 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Some people don't want to put out that they where raped..... but my god you are stupid.

[+]CivilityBeDamned -10 points-9 points-8 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I would assume nobody does. You not wanting something doesn't change the fact that by not reporting it you are enabling the rapist to continue raping people.

[–]Throwawayhelper420 4 points5 points6 points 8 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

Who cares? He's not a fucking super hero, he didn't sign up for this shit, what he does with it is entirely up to him, not you or society.

Even if he did report her she would reply, "No way he raped me!!"... and of course law enforcement would believe her. You already don't believe him.

[–]CivilityBeDamned -3 points-2 points-1 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

he didn't sign up for this shit, what he does with it is entirely up to him, not you or society.

I'm not advocating for laws that reflect my position. Sure, do whatever you want afterwards. If he rapes your friend next, will you tell them you are so sorry that you could never do anything to prevent it?

Even if he did report her she would reply, "No way he raped me!!"... and of course law enforcement would believe her. You already don't believe him.

There are many issues with law enforcement that don't dilute the circumstances. I don't believe him for the same reason I don't believe 'victimized' women who protect their abuser. The story is illogical and ridiculous. He should be spending that car money on getting that kid the fuck away from a known rapist and every other approach is fucking stupid.

[–]xRisingSunx 9 points10 points11 points 8 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

To be quite honest, we do not know on average what The response is to female-male rape even IS. Especially with a child involved in The modern American legal system. Could the guy be lying, yes. Could he be telling the truth, also yes and equally as likely.

[+]CivilityBeDamned -7 points-6 points-5 points 8 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

I don't really care what the response is. It is simply factual logic that if you do nothing to stop a rapist that you are enabling them to rape more people. You wouldn't be legally complicit, but certainly morally in my mind. Truly a horrific situation to be in.

[–]Magikarp_evolved 16 points17 points18 points 8 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

You do know men have been laughed at by police when trying to report they've been raped, right?

Imagine being LAUGHED AT by the ones who are supposed to help you when you tell them what's happened?

Nah, guess they should just man up, right? Stop bein' a little pussy about it, is that it?

[–]CivilityBeDamned 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Nah, guess they should just man up, right? Stop bein' a little pussy about it, is that it?

Much more appropriate to watch the rapist walk away and hope that the next victim will man up and stop being a pussy, I guess.

And yeah, fuck cops. They aren't exactly great in terms of going after rapists for either gender. That's an entirely different conversation.

[–]hork23 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

So the logical conclusion here is that the man who is raped should take the law into his own hands because those that supposedly uphold the law will only mock him if he reports his rape. That is what could be meant from your "man up" rhetoric.

Honestly, I have no problem with this solution in these circumstances.

[–]CivilityBeDamned 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I have no problem either. When I was a teenager someone I knew tried to fuck around with my 11 year old brother. Me and my third brother beat the living piss out of him for thinking about it.

Its a shitty moral blackhole honestly. I don't believe in letting victimizers carry on, even if it costs me personally.

[–]Throwawayhelper420 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Shits different for a little kid versus a full grown man.

Little kids get in fights and their mommies ground them, adults do it and they get 10 years in jail. If you're doing it to a woman you get 20.

[–]xRisingSunx 4 points5 points6 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Of course you care, because if we found out that the response is for the male to take care of the female and the child. (For whatever reason that may be) you're a little tirade would be proven to be full of shit.

[–]CivilityBeDamned -2 points-1 points0 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Even ignoring the grammar I don't understand what you are trying to say.

If the woman is a rapist then he should be focused on getting her prosecuted and removing his vulnerable child from her care if possible.

[–]xRisingSunx 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Wow I got auto-corrected to "you're". Trying to deflect the argument to be about grammar and being purposefully ignorant to an obvious point just makes you look even more stupid. /BLOCKED I'm done with you and won't see any more of your idiot responses LMAO.

[–]CivilityBeDamned -1 points0 points1 point 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Oh no, such valuable rambling robbed from me!

[–]EeeeeeevilMan 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

And she immediately says, "Nuh-uh, he raped me!"

And his life is ruined.

[–]CivilityBeDamned -2 points-1 points0 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Oh ok, well if someone could lie we should just ignore the truth and reality. Just like if you watched someone murder your family. Better that you don't risk them coming after you later than speak up. I mean its your life versus some random number of innocents, and we're all sociopaths.

[–]SolidMercer 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's disgusting they don't care about men who get raped but complain if we don't care about them.
