I am a 24 years old dude. I always get the idea on this sub that men are expected to chase around women in the hope that she eventually gives him a chance. Isn't that a waste of time tho?

I wpuld think that if a woman actually likes you you should not need to obsess over chasing her. It's just such a desperate thing to do and it probably almost never is worth it. Most people I know that are dating never needed to chase people around because they actually liked each other.

Do women really want to be chased? Is it just an expectation that other men hold onto men? Doesn't having someone chase you cause the lovebombing to go absolutely unnoticed because that is what you are expecting when they chase you?

I genuinely believe that the chase is just a way to manipulate a woman, I don't really understand the whole romanticization of it.
