This infographic shows discrepancies between male and female kinks. I want to discuss the male brain and how these kinks relate to dating.

The first thing I noticed when discussing female dominated kinks and comparing them to male kinks is that women's kinks tend to not have much variance. They all seem to be along a similar vein as BDSM (dom/sub), whereas men's seem to be way more varied (and depraved).

Men seem to have more of the kinks that are deemed taboo: Vore, Sounding, Pedophilia, Necrophilia, Beastiality, Incest. I can't even come up with a mentality behind these fetishes aside from them just being as depraved as possible. Sounding is a male only thing for obvious reasons (I'm not sure if women can do it). I don't know what "creepy crawlies" is, but I'm assuming it has something to do with insects.

  1. I think the variety of men's kinks seems to lend itself to how men think sexually in general: men crave variety at a core level. The extreme of this - (similar to how the extreme of BDSM for women is rapeplay) - is extreme weird & taboo fetishes. The thought process for me, is like chasing the dragon for a heroin addict. The depravity gets more and more extreme as you're chasing a serotonin/dopamine high.

  2. Some of the male kinks seem to lean into men's typical desires, at varying levels of extremity. For example: most men typically like young women, and pedophilia takes this further to a taboo level. Vore is male aggression taken to a taboo level. Futanari is similar to lesbians with strapons but taken to a more taboo level. The kinks are also less about the mentality (women are about how they feel) vs the act (men liking a spefic thing and no further thought).

  3. A lot of male kinks also seem to be rooted in anxiety. Since a lot of the kinks are actually illegal (or impossible like futanari), I find it hard to believe that men who are into these are enacting them in real life, and that may be part of the fetish.
