When responding to TRP concepts about how society actually works, I’ve noticed that people often default to arguing how society ought to work instead. NOT how society should work around the biological differences, but rather how the biological differences OUGHT to be. This constantly derails what could be productive discussions.

RPers make descriptive claims about intersexual dynamics, social judgment, and human behavior. But instead of engaging with the reality of those patterns, many critics attack the OP as if they’re making a moral argument about how things should be.

  • It’s like saying “it’s not a good idea for women to walk alone down dark alleys in shady neighborhoods at night”, and the response is “How dare you, women should be able to do whatever they want without fearing for their safety.”
    • Okay, but that’s not the discussion. We’re talking about what is, not what should be.

I made a post recently where I pointed out that women are judged by how they dress and present themselves, not as a prescription, but as an observation. People flooded in saying “women shouldn’t be judged by how they dress.”

Fine. But that’s a different conversation. The reality is: people (including other women) do judge women based on clothing and presentation.

The broader point in that post was about intersexual dynamics in the courting process:

  • Women “advertise”
  • Men approach

That distinction is reflected right down to the clothes on our backs. Women’s fashion is a trillion dollar industry catering to women wanting to advertise their sexuality. The differences between men’s and women’s clothing aren’t just sizing, it’s fit, stretch, what’s revealed/concealed. Like yoga pants, leggings, crop tops don’t exist for men (outside niche/LGBT brands).

The common BP rebuttal: “Women just wear it to feel good.”

  • Why does it “feel good”? Let’s be honest, because it makes them more sexually attractive.
  • What does “sexually attractive” mean? The ability to attract the opposite sex. Aka advertising.

Why do 🔵BPers default to dodging the main discussion and speaking about how things OUGHT to be instead?

It goes back to the foundations of Feminism, which is about IGNORING the biological differences between men and women, to achieve equality of the sexes.
