I saw a video a few days ago from Tyler in which he said he convinced you to go sober and stop with alcohol and energy drinks, that it was messing with your health. I remember about this doctor girl you mentioned in a video, I assume it was the same time.

I'm kind of going through the same, going out a lot, having results but unable to go sober, rest properly, which I'm sure it's fucking up my results.

You and Tyler both talk alot about "state." Can you give a brief rundown on what a typical night is for you of building state. As someone who has really heave moodswings sometimes I find it impossible to get into a social state. Julien, I'm a great admirer of your techniques, however I have some questions.

Your approach seems to be really direct. In my experience this is great for pumping up buying temperature, but does little to solidify day twos. What advice can you give to the guy who wants to keep the target around after a first night pull?
Also, through experience I've found that being more direct validates the target sooner than is in my benefit. This shifts the frame of the interaction in her favor, which is also not in my benefit. The mystery method deals with this problem through the indirect approach and the utilization of negs early on in the interaction. How do you resolve to not give the target any validation, while utilizing the direct method of approach, all the while keeping a firm grounding of your own frame?
I've had success in club/bar environments where alcohol is the lifeblood of every HBs interaction. However, each interaction left me completely unsatisfied and I felt like I was using training wheels. Each success felt like fools mate, since the girls were anywhere between tipsy and drunk. Do you think that bar/club game gives the PUA an unfair advantage in the interaction?

I hv some questions that arent about pickup per se as I think you answer all of them perfectly already in your videos. My questions are more about your workflow as I find it more interesting to see how you can sustain your lifestyle and organize your different programs as I imagine it can be a lot of stress. When I went on your free tour in Frankfurt f.e. you had to organize a new conference room on the spot as too many people turned up. I assume there's a lot of stuff that can go wrong and where you have to do quick decisions like that.

Oh, this one also is something i'm curious about. RSD preaches similar principles, but you don't have the same 'philosophy' as, say, Alexander does, or Jeffy does. I don't mean to be too dramatic or hyperbolic, but you and Owen have helped change my life as much as anybody else - not just with women, but with general self-improvement too. You guys have changed the way I think about so many fundamental things in life. Hearing you talk about "reference experiences" is one thing that stands out. That has helped a lot.

Again, I don't mean to be hyperbolic, but you guys are almost like philosophers and scientists - you have these great philosophies on self-improvement, with an emphasis on pick-up, of course, and you're like scientists insofar as you go out and experiment with the science of attraction. I'm a social psychology major, particularly interested in attraction, and I've learned nearly as much from RSD as I have from my text books.

But then you also keep it fun, because it is just picking up girls, and you, especially, really push the boundaries in many ways, which I like a lot, and I think the latter is why you get a lot of attention. You take the psychology of attraction and use it to ruthlessly mindfuck women into having sex with you. Haha.

Hey there, thanks for taking your time to help us all out here and answer some questions! (Ask anything you need to for clarity in this) I really just started playing “the game” this year and I’ve had less success trying to play it consciously than I have when I wasn’t thinking about it.

Last year (first year of college) I would just be myself when I would approach women and I would give them genuine compliments and just talk to them, I would keep their interest and this was primarily day game. I pulled 5 (Genuinely awesome) new girls in winter-spring of 2012 and only 3 in fall of 2012. 0 new girls this year 2013. In essence I’ve had worse results knowing how to play the game trying to be cocky funny, and teasing. I know that I’m above average in looks, I know how to dress well and I live a cool life, I think I’m just coming off as an asshole.

I read “The Game” this winter and I’ve bought some of the RSD books but haven’t really had time to read them. Like i said before i know i'm an averagely good looking guy or above average guy, I do professional photography @ 20 years old and i surround myself with great people, and i life my life for myself. I wouldn't think twice about dropping someone from my life who doesn't make me happy or help me grow.

Though I have had success with picking up HB 8-10’s with the game I can’t get it to stick and have them chasing me. Getting numbers is easy (Usually during day game) but getting a second meeting mostly always fails. I don’t hook up with them the first time I meet them but I always leave them with a kiss on the cheek. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong I kino as much as possible playful touches and what not I know I’m not creepy by any means.

I guess I’m just getting stuck when it comes to meeting them a second time and really sinking my teeth into this girl, my one friend thinks that I have it all backwards when I meet someone during day game… That the first time we hang out we should go out drinking (in college mind you) hook up then go on a “Date”. I think I’m being too forward when I meet a girl and asking them to hang out and watch a show that we have mutual interests in I did that recently and I must of creeped her out because I see her around campus and say hi but, I feel like I AFC out.
I usually attract women that are older and the 2 girls that I knew had an interest in me, I think lost it when they learned that I was 19. I look older and act older, and I have very high confidence, I just lack that ability to get that LOCK on the women that I want to talk to and hang out with.

Hey Julien, these may be basic lame ass questions, or too complicated for this format, but I'm not wasting the opportunity to ask.

What are the best ways of dealing with guys trying to mess you up, blow you out? Especially before a set is fully hooked, or before any real shit tests. Some nights it seems guys are everywhere trying to interfere. Whether they come in and act like they are cool and don't approve of you, to come in and be a clown just to fuck you up, to snicker from the outside and make fun of you, to act all noble and trying to save the girl when you aren't doing well, or to actually get the girls attention away from you and get her in a conversation?
What are the best ways to truly hook a set, and keep it hooked? Sometimes I feel like I have a set hooked and am doing well, some progressive physical escalation, vibing back and forth, even qualification, but then they have to go do something they have to do. Nice to meet you, you are awesome and hilarious, but I just have to go. Whether they give the number or don't, I mean we're really not truly trying to learn to collect a little collection of phone numbers and set up dates for Mondays and Tuesdays, but to pull hot bitches out the door, to get make outs while chodes look on with envy, to approach girls guys are scared of, and pimp it like the fucking man, right?

It's funny because I was just watching your Pick-up manifesto and I just happened to notice that you were on Reddit in the very minute. Great timing!

I really can't be thankful enough for all the great content that you and the guys at RSD have put out. I'm a 22 year old who just moved to NYC. As a noob, how do you recommend I get to your level? I've been trying to go out as often as possible and hit on a lot of girls, but mainly all I've been getting are flakey numbers (got a couple makeouts though, for what that's worth. no sex yet).
Which is better, nightgame or daygame?
What do you do when you meet a girl who's hot but you know your personalities aren't compatible? Do you just move on or go for the fuck? Or do you try to befriend her and get her to be a wingwoman for a future night?
Any other advice?

Hey Julien. My friends are Geeks and d not like clubs for many reasons but i can find some ways. My friend c't be wing cause he is not relax with girls so he destroy the set. i can overpass that and approach the sets by my self
The main "problem" is... In my town almost 80% percentage are men (avearge 3-4 free HB 8,5-9 in a whole club and 60 men) and many men are good looking going to gyms do sports etc. I do the same etc . My problem is not men but that women have so many posibilities to choose men and they are aware of it .so they know that they are the "gold".They are over rated with heigh-ego. Another one Julien, how do you manage your energy? Let's say you were busy all day doing whatever. You wanna go out and are tired. Caffeine fucks up your sleep patterns, so in the long run it's a bad idea to use it hevily. But if you are really tired, what do you do? Some nights I feel I must be going out but I'm too tired. Hi Julien,

I've been a fan of your videos for about four months now. I go out a lot am pretty decent in medium energy environments, but I have a lot of trouble and really high energy environments.

Lately, I've been trying to get better at coming in very hard (grab girl, who the fuck are you etc.) as opposed to what I normally do which is more friendly (hi, or your cute I'm pogoman). While I've tried it a few times, I don't really commit to it because I'm scared. I don't usually get oneitis, but I've had it for several months now.

I don't mind getting other girls but there's this one girl in college who's really caught my eye, but I keep missing my chances to ask her out because I don't see her often at the moment.
