I dunno... maybe the stigma that will never go away even after all charges are dropped? Maybe the fact that your life is destroyed the moment the false allegation is made because if you're a man you're guilty until proven innocent? You can't reason with this level of delusion.

Imagine promoting a sub that is against rights for people.

[–][deleted] 532 points533 points534 points 6 years ago (47 children) | Copy Link

Against black rights.

See how disturbing they are.

[–]kaushrah 183 points184 points185 points 6 years ago (35 children) | Copy Link

Yes exactly. No one should ever say that.

[–]Uzrathixius 42 points43 points44 points 6 years ago (33 children) | Copy Link

Eh, there is a decent discourse that society as a whole has gone way downhill since "rights" have been given to more and more people.

[–]Azurenightsky 13 points14 points15 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Look if you're willing to go down the "More rights people had..." route then you can't simultaneously tell me I'm a nutter for suggesting we look into the equally verifiable Secret Societies angle.

Especially when the one President who warned us was successfully assassinated for it. =/

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Care to elaborate?

[–]kadivs 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

the illuminati or free masons are to blame!

[–]AugustusM 80 points81 points82 points 6 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

Not really though. I won't make any arguments as to the correlation or causation of "rights" on these trends but... By pretty much any measure (literacy, violence, disease, general wealth) right now is the best time to be alive so far. There are problem sure, massive big ones in fact, but if I had to choose between a random UK citizen now, or the King of the UK 300 years ago you can be damn sure I'd choose now.

[+]Azurenightsky -30 points-29 points-28 points 6 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

right now is the best time to be alive so far.

Actually, most Historians who are being honest would choose the Height of the Roman Empire, the few years before the Decline were still better for individual freedoms than now.

[–]woopwoopgiraffe 42 points43 points44 points 6 years ago* (5 children) | Copy Link

Not really. The late Roman Empire was a terrible place to live in: taxes were high and even as a 'free man' you were probably in a forced work condition which you couldn't escape - basically slavery

English is not my native language so I hope I explained it well enough :)

edit: typo

[–]Sharkey_B 14 points15 points16 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That's a pretty good explanation of it.

[–]Qualanqui 8 points9 points10 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Not forgetting all the lead too.

[–]AtemAndrew -4 points-3 points-2 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

So..pretty much where we are now then?

[–]woopwoopgiraffe 7 points8 points9 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

not even close man

[–]MrSalvos 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

No slaver, a minimum wage for all workers, laws against discrimination, and more.

[–]AugustusM 8 points9 points10 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I struggle to think of a historian that would argue a period in which literal slavery existed was better for than now in terms of freedoms.

Regardless, my point was to specifically exclude rights, liberties and freedoms. If you ignore who has what rights or how "free" speech is etc etc, then by other measures, like ability to access food, literacy, chance to die of random infection etc. Now is the best time we have so far.

[–]75percent-juice 20 points21 points22 points 6 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

I feel like the problem is requesting exclusive rights rather than equal rights. Everyone should be free to demand their rights, but it's a complex process because some people think equal rights means they should be treated better, and not the same, for being "marginalized"

[–]CoolMintMC 6 points7 points8 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Which is understandable to a certain extent......however that also just leads to people abusing it & belittling non/not as marginalized groups, so equal rights across the board in the end is still the better option seemingly.

Hell, I'm a gay gay & I see this toxic shit happening with marginalized groups attacking regular people who fit into "non-marginalized" groups, ex. "straight white cisgendered men".

We need to stop categorizing people like one size fits all. NEWS FLASH, IT DOESN'T! 🙄😒

Bruh, I swear... Some people out here just trying to ruin people's lives.

[–]whyserenity 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

anyone interested in using intersectionality or labeling everyone is trying to destroy the world.

[–]NoxHexaDraconis 5 points6 points7 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Honestly, at this rate we should go starship troopers and make everyone earn the rights and all the shit they take for granted.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I don’t think service should GUARANTEE citizenship.

[–]NoxHexaDraconis 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]GermanShepherdAMA 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

It really wouldn’t

[–]whyserenity 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

It really would. The problem with society is many people have absolutely nothing in their lives they have to fight through, so they make up stupid garbage that is meaningless to anyone with an actual brain. A run through basic training and 2 years of forced service doing almost anything will make them much better people then having the hardest choice in life is when to roll out of bed and go to Starbucks.

[–]GermanShepherdAMA 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Yep. Slavery is a good thing because it gives people something to do. What a horrendous take.

[–]whyserenity 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

2 years is not slavery. You are so out of touch with reality you have absolutely no clue how humanity lived for most of human history.

Ya I just took a look over there and I need some eye bleach. Some of the posts are reasonable and others are clearly a product of being triggered by the success of the men's rights movement.

I should add these are the same people who usually claiming 'gaining rights does not come at the cost of the rights of others'. So if that's true why are they against men's rights? Hypocrisy that's why.

[–]Marty-the-monkey 53 points54 points55 points 6 years ago (135 children) | Copy Link

Looking at the subreddit, and playing devils advocate; they describe themselves as being a direct response to this subreddit specifically.

So it’s not to be against men’s rights in general, but the discourse on this forum.

[–]InvincibleV 182 points183 points184 points 6 years ago (62 children) | Copy Link

They claim that MRAs are driven by hate and that this sub is purely misogynistic and alt right. Which is what they claim for literally everyone who opposes their beliefs so their arguments are immediately rendered useless.

As jordan peterson said it is easier to tell the other person "Hey you are probably a Neo Nazi so I don't have to listen to you", instead of going through the painful process of realizing that you don't have the faintest clue of what you are talking about.

[–]scyth3s 21 points22 points23 points 6 years ago* (38 children) | Copy Link

There's a ton of mysoginy on this sub tho, we have our share of woman haters.

Edit: examples aren't easy to find because reddit's comment searching functionality sucks fucking balls, but here's a thread based on a misogynistic concept (slut shaming) and two comments (there were many more, though) supporting said slut shaming.

  1. A user insinuates that slut shaming is a good thing. 24 Points.

Implying slut shaming is a negative.

A similar comment with fewer upvotes

Both of these comments, and the original post, are about how it is somehow disrespectful to have sex with a woman on the first date... Because sex is disrespectful or something, but only for women. To quote another user on the threat, If they want sex and you don't that's fine, but to turn them down or not approach them for it when you otherwise would because "you respect them" absolutely says you don't respect girls who would have sex on the First date..

Several other comments of mine calling out misogyny that I have found have had the comment they're responding to deleted or removed, which is both fortunate and unfortunate in this case.

[–]SharedRegime 63 points64 points65 points 6 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link

And its our job to call them out when we see them. We shouldnt stand for it if we condemn feminists for it.

[–]scyth3s 15 points16 points17 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I do any time I see it

[–]SharedRegime 13 points14 points15 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I honestly notice that this subs been pretty decent on policing itself and calling out the shit behavior that we condemn feminists for.

[–][deleted] 7 points8 points9 points 6 years ago (28 children) | Copy Link

Source? Example?

[–]scyth3s 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (27 children) | Copy Link

I'm not gonna go scouring through every old post on here. If you want, look at my post history in the sub and you'll see that I try to call these people out when I see them.

[–]jacksleepshere 6 points7 points8 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If you need to scour through every old post to find an example of what you are claiming then it doesn’t apply to this sub as much as you are suggesting.

As others have already said, this sub is good at policing itself and pointing out the bullshit.

[–]bakedpotato486 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Thank you. You are one of many that call out and/or downvote the hate on this sub. Now, give us an example of such happening on r/feminism or r/againstmensrights.

[–]scyth3s 3 points4 points5 points 6 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

This sub generally stands for good things and I come here for those, but just because I frequent a group doesn't mean I'll give members a pass when they're shitty.

Now, give us an example of such happening on r/feminism or r/againstmensrights.

Sorry, I'm banned from those. I got banned from r/feminism, r/twoXchromosomes, and r/femradebates because I told a mod that she was unqualified to debate the $0.77 wage gap if she didn't understand that those numbers were un-adjusted for any meaningful factors. Probably some other subs as well.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 6 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

I'm not gonna go scouring through every old post on here. If you want, look at my post history in the sub and you'll see that I try to call these people out when I see them.

Yeah... didn't expect you'd be able to provide an example.

[–]scyth3s 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

I did, actually, and I said exactly what I meant in my answer. You are welcome to put in the effort to look at my past encounters with misogyny on this sub any time you choose. Right now I'm more concerned with reading politics topics than going through a series of threads in a fringe sub to prove to one man that a male focused movement might have a disproportionately high number of sexists.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I did, actually, and I said exactly what I meant in my answer.

You did provide an example?

Because no, no you didn't, and you won't either.

[–]scyth3s 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I expected to be asked.

[–]Mens-Advocate -2 points-1 points0 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Aha. MR is a “fringe sub” to you. Thanks for proving your misandry and so discrediting your contentions.

[–]scyth3s 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I intended the world fringe to be interpreted with dictionary.com definition #3,

an outer edge; margin; periphery

It's hard to argue that by that definition this sub is not fringe. I did not intend it in the "extremist" sense, just that it's not particularly mainstream.

[–]onlyforsex -4 points-3 points-2 points 6 years ago (16 children) | Copy Link

I see a lot of guys here arguing that women shouldn't have the right to vote.

[–]goodmod[M] 11 points12 points13 points 6 years ago* (7 children) | Copy Link

Arguing against women having the right to vote might just barely be within our rules, if it's civil and provides a reasonable rational.

When their voting rights were being debated some women didn't want them, so it's not necessarily misogynist to take up a similar position. However,

Saying that women are incapable of voting responsibly is a bannable offence.

If you see someone saying that women are an inferior sex, please click on Report

Arguing against women having the right to vote might just barely be within our rules, if it's civil and provides a reasonable rational.

This is disgusting. Arguing for the removal of basic human rights on the basis of sex or gender is never civil.

When their voting rights were being debated some women didn't want them, so it's not necessarily misogynist to take up a similar position.

This couldn't be more false. Women can and often are misogynistic.

If you see someone saying that women are an inferior sex, please click on Report

I have reported Demonspawn comments where he argues women shouldn't vote, your mod team left his comments up.

[–]goodmod 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

This is a discussion forum. We try to allow as much freedom of discussion as possible within the rules of Reddit.

This means that some people will be offended, but that's the price of openness.

[–]coke501 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

What are you talking about? How is voting a basic human right? Most men in the US do not have this right.

Hell, I think the majority of men worldwide do not have a unconditional right to vote.

[–]scyth3s 8 points9 points10 points 6 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

I've seen like 3-4 of those comments in my entire time here, so I think saying "a lot" is an exaggeration. I don't really have room to criticize here though, since "a ton" was also overboard when I said it in my comment.

[+]onlyforsex -6 points-5 points-4 points 6 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

I've seen more than 5 easily and they don't get downvoted. You're more likely to be downvoted for saying you agree with x feminist idea, than for saying women shouldn't have the right to vote on this sub

[–]orcscorper 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

[–]genkernels[🍰] 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

"A ton", eh? Surely you can link one example fairly quickly. /s

[–]scyth3s -1 points0 points1 point 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I would refer you to a slight clarification I made. https://www.reddit.com/r/MensRights/comments/elaqkg/found_in_ragainstmensrights_they_call_this/fdicebp/

Tldr yes, a ton was a bit of hyperbole. But we have our share. Enough that if you frequent, you'll see it, but you won't see it on every post.

[–]genkernels[🍰] 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Not on every post. So, most then? Wow. Care to link one example of this misogyny? After all, you seem to feel like you shouldn't have to go through much of the frontpage to find one...

[–]Mens-Advocate 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

To be fair the levels of misogyny you see sometimes on this subreddit is abhorrent. A lot of people on here legitimately just hate women, but all of Reddit is toxic so what do you expect....

Edit: thanks for the downvotes and the gold!

[–]ThEGr33kXII 67 points68 points69 points 6 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

[–]SharedRegime 13 points14 points15 points 6 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

This right here. Its nowhere near as rampant as you see it on feminist forums. Not only that we police ourselves pretty well. Almost like were level headed people.

[+]Tacticalsquirrel -8 points-7 points-6 points 6 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

........I wasn't talking about feminist pages why did you bring them up? Because you're vehemently partisan?

[–]SharedRegime 5 points6 points7 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You specified that you see a lot on this subreddit, so i used what is usually the opposite to this subreddit which would be feminist pages as an example of how this sub is nowhere near as bad as you made it out to seem. Go off i guess though.

[–]THE_HUMPER_ -3 points-2 points-1 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

No he said we're f***ing level headed people unlike greedy wxmxn, get it right.

[–]SharedRegime 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Feminists tend to not be level headed. I didnt target women as a whole just feminists.

[–]TheDwiin 14 points15 points16 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Semi serious question. Why do you even come here?

[–]Tacticalsquirrel -3 points-2 points-1 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Because men's rights is an important issue........... Just because I have the audacity to point out that there are members in this group that are vilely anti women doesn't mean I think it's okay that men are more likely to lose their kids, become homeless, and then kill themselves. We just need to police ourselves and not let partisanship get in the way of a legitimate movement.

[–]Mackowatosc -1 points0 points1 point 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If women behave in a way that makes them hated by someones standards, hate is what they will get.

I kinda agree, but do you mean it as some people posting anti-woman posts/comments? or just straight up hate?

Because I too see sometimes comments that are a bit edgy, but most comments are perfectly fine?

I do notice a lot of frustration tho, but I only believe it makes sense because some anti-MRA posts are just outright outragious

[–]orcscorper -1 points0 points1 point 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's currentyear. You don't need a vagina to be a woman, and you don't need to be a woman to be a dumb broad. You still have to be male to be a simp, however.

But we are talking about Trump. Just because you still want to talk about Obama or Hillary (who I will point out I despise both) YEARS after relevance, doesn't give Trump a pass. He has done plenty of destructive things to mens rights.

You’re welcome. You can support anyone you want, I don’t give a fuck. You act like I care that they gained a sub, which I find a bit silly.

How am I butthurt though? I legitimately think that president Trump is doing a poor job, and I legitimately think that r/the_donald constantly belittles and makes fun of Barack Obama (and other political opponents of Trump) in a distasteful way.

I’m all for reasonable discourse, and I can respect most political opinions. But the name-calling and insulting there goes directly agaist the idea of constructive discussion.

Edit: why the hell is everyone responding to me so viciously? I’ve tried to be polite and courteous with my discussions; it’d be nice if you afforded me the same things. I’m starting to see why people think this sub is so toxic- some people definitely are.

[+]immortalsperm -7 points-6 points-5 points 6 years ago* (12 children) | Copy Link

Ofc you can disagree with him politely, and you don't even have to justify why. BUT when i say i LOVE Trump, don't go crying now, it's a freedom for both of us not just you !

I wear my MAGA hat everywhere and i get lots of toxicity ( u think this is normal ?) . But luckily as u know Trump haters are all cachectic pussies, won't approach someone like me, hahaha, though it's for their benefit.

My biggest disagreement with Liberals or Trump haters in general is that they have NO substance, he did a good or bad thing, doesn't matter in their eyes, they will continue their blind hatred.

Tbh the more they hate the guy, the more i believe in him, so thanks for that.

We'll see who takes the 2020 vote, or if it goes down to a civil war, i know my money is on me.

[–]blank_stare_shrug 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

To quote the internet, "people don't know what it be, but it do". There is a dissonance between what some people think and feel real life is like, and form a narrative that supports that view, and what is actually experienced day to day and the reasons why it is experienced.

So a recounting of an actual situation or experience or an entry from a study or journal becomes a "straw-woman" argument because women don't do that or they don't do that for that reason, regardless of evidence and experience.

well fair enough that people dont like that poster when the stats are wrong. 70% of nonreciprocal violence is initiated by women. Not 70% of DV. so that number for DV alone drops to 60% when you do the math correctly.

They do. Check the sources I linked above.

70% of non-reciprocal domestic violence is female on male according to both women and men they surveyed.

In fact, the single biggest predictor of if a woman will become a victim of domestic violence is if she has perpetrated DV in the past.

The attitude they have just falls in line with my theory that they don't want to consider the possibility they are attacking innocent men with real problems in life. So of course rather than confront their feelings they go around convincing each other it's just 'MRA propaganda' and the patriarchy, trying to squash it all down and pretend they're the good guys.

All feminists do this to some degree, the feminists who openly hate men and MRAs like this though are the ones that are just being honest about it in their own fucked up way.

I'm going to make a prediction, I think like here in the UK, if Trump wins in a landslide in November we are going to see the feminist ranks fall apart because it is going to make them severely question themselves if they realise how many people are openly turning against them. Of course, you'll have a few holdouts where the true believers will still think they can win and are in total denial about their loss but it's going to severely demoralise them if Trump wins again and wins outright.

[–]DanteLivra 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

That's what I always said.

Feminism, by their inability to silence radical members, will burn themselves out.

[–]Mackowatosc 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

As a victim of DV it is scary to see this. I was assaulted by my ex at a party mid February of last year. No one said a thing and let her walk out the door. I didn't initiate anything or even say a word to her. She was with her current boyfriend and you'd think that would give a red flag?

2 days later I called the police after finally building up the confidence. I had 3 mutual friends who saw it and we're witnesses. The police took a week to finally arrest her and she plead guilty. She said she was drunk to the officer which she was under age (20) at the time. In court they gave her 20 hours of community service and expunged her record after.

I didn't even get a chance to put my hands up in self defense. The prosecutor never made contact with me to ask what I thought. It still hurts thinking about this. This is an issue we really need to spread.

DV is scary.

I had no clue that was even a subreddit. Seriously? Just checked their description and they’re saying we’re racists lmao

Well, if people are going to misquote the research and not include a citation, then of course it is going to get called propaganda.

WTF is wrong with people that they have to try to manipulate statistics in a way that pushes their agenda? Why can't people just accept the statistics, quote them correctly, and then adjust their agenda to match?

The study that this is quoting did NOT say that 53% of DV victims are men. In fact, it said that 19% of men and 28% of women experienced violence in their relationship - that is not 53% victims are men. The study did say that 70% of NON-RECIPROCAL violence was by women towards men. That is a very different statement than 70% of all violence. It also said that women are more likely to be injured than men in reciprocal violence situations.

It was one study, and there are lots of studies that show different results. So these are not conclusive. Using a single study because it supports your ideology is propaganda (note: propaganda is just a way of saying "using material that promotes a cause" and the negative connotation is simply a result of the Cold War).

In the end, there is no need to point fingers at who does DV more. There is enough evidence that men are a significant portion of the victims of domestic violence and gender should not be a distinguishing factor in whether a person is considered a victim or receives support.

[–]pssandwich 8 points9 points10 points 6 years ago* (3 children) | Copy Link

I've never understood how this statistic was mathematically possible- I don't want to take this out on you (you're not the first person I've heard say this), but I've never understood how women can be more likely to be victims than men if they are the perpetrators in the majority or non-reciprocal cases. In a reciprocal case, both the man and the woman are victims, so the contributions to the number of men and women victimized should be equal. Therefore, the difference in number should come entirely from non-reciprocal cases, of which men are the majority of victims.

If x is the number of reciprocally-violent relationships, y is the number of non-reciprocal relationships where the man is the aggressor, and z is the number of non-reciprocal relationships where the woman is the aggressor, the number of female victims is x + y and the number of male victims is x + z. How could the inequality x + y > x + z possibly hold if y < z?

The only way this could possibly make sense is if these are lifetime statistics and men are more likely than women to end up in a string of abusive relationships- the same man being absued by multiple women. I don't think this effect should be large enough to explain this discrepancy given that the 70-30 gap in nonreciprocal violence. Is that what you are suggesting? nvm, this isn't what the study is about.

Edit: Looking at the study itself, it looks like you're misquoting the numbers. Women reported being in a violent relationship more than men. They did not report being victims more than men.

[–]Oncefa2 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Women can also assault other women. Both partners and their children.

In fact lesbian relationships have been shown to be more violent than heterosexual and gay male relationships.

[–]pssandwich 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

Sure. I actually think that the current DV paradigm is terrible for lesbian victims. However,

1). Lesbian relationships weren't considered in the study, and

2). (My main point) Even without reading the study, it should be obvious that the number of lesbian relationships isn't anywhere near large enough to make up the difference. The poster above me was claiming that 28% of women were victims of DV- there is no way you could possibly have a number that much larger than the number of male victims if women initiated 70% of nonreciprocal violence, even if you take into account DV in lesbian relationships.

The point of my post is that a few seconds thought reveals, even without looking at the study, that there is no way that OP's claim could possibly be correct. You don't get to be smug about knowing the actual statistics if the actual statistics you claim are an obvious mathematical impossibility.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The MRM does itself absolutely no favors when it manipulates statistics and pulls dishonest BS like this.

Good on you for calling it out here. Your comment should be far closer to the top of this thread.

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points8 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Seems like those getting defensive after seeing this are also those who are likely projecting, and have been instigators of domestic violence against their own husbands or boyfriends.

[–]J2501 4 points5 points6 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

'dumb propaganda bullshit', definitely sounds like the refined eloquence of a dedicatedly nonviolent person.

J/K, sounds like Slaag the Cave-Woman.

[–]Mythandros 7 points8 points9 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I mean, what did you expect from a sub controlled by feminists and called "against men's rights"?

Is this really a surprise to anybody?

Feminism is anti-male, everyone knows this.

[–]MikeLanglois 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Is it possible to report an entire sub?

[–]jaheiner 4 points5 points6 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's cute that they call being aware that women are abusers sometimes as well "propaganda".

God forbid they be held accountable when they do shity stuff amirite? That accountibility crap is just for guys.

Ah yes. Female incels. Reminds of r/FemaleDatingStrategy

[–]satellite779 5 points6 points7 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Why is that subreddit not banned? Being against rights of half of the world's population is surely against Reddit's T&C

[–]fullbleie 8 points9 points10 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

For the same reason TRP is under quarantine, but FDS is not.

[–]xerotolerance879 3 points4 points5 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It’s not even propaganda, it’s the truth. That subreddit is just female supremacist and believes women can do no wrong.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

My friends girlfriend punched him for having opinions, so he choked her out and she got charged. It was nice to see some kind of intelligent life in law enforcement.

againstmenrights

Why does this subreddit even exists? Isn't it like against every rule of this site? Isn't it against everything humane? It's basically a subreddit against human rights. What the fuck.

[–]RedOrbPikachu 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well when a sub is called “against men’s rights” you should know what to expect(also I know is supposed to go up against this sub but it’s just an excuse to not a have a subreddit called against men’s rights banned)

[–]Kaptain_Konrad 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Is there a link to the Harvard stats? I know people in the victims rights field and would love to show them this as there are those here who don't believe men can be abuse victims and always treat them worse. Some are really good at dealing with male victims but if I'm going to show them I'm gonna need some hard facts.

[–]Ahielia 5 points6 points7 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

[–]NotSeaPartie 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Their purpose was to hate on this sub but they’ve turned more evil since

[–]kaushrah 4 points5 points6 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I understand feminism is inherently against men. But why are they branding themselves as “Against Men’s Rights”?

[–]Egalitarianwhistle 14 points15 points16 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I wonder how r/againstwomensrights would go over...

[–]kaushrah 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Not very well. Also I am not against anyone’s rights.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If anyone hits or hurts you, you have the right to hurt them back. It doesn't matter of they're female, male, trans or etcetera. It's self defence.

As usual feminists project like multiplexes.

[–]Luchadorgreen 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I just responded to a post there so I’m sure I’ll be banned soon.

Btw, someone there was claiming they got banned from this sub, and there doesn’t seem to be a good reason why. That’s kind of shitty of the mod here to do that. Just saying.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

let one of those little femnazis put her hands on me

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Some accounts pretend to be against men's rights to post these things and get discussion. I don't know the account, though.

[–]Fumby3 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I believe it's less than 53% but regardless it's just ignorance to denounce abuse against men

[–]Thegriswolf95 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

What I’m taking away from this is that 30% of women are real and 70% are not.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This is not right, but be it the other way round, it still would not be right.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Watch out for this fucking dumb human rights propaganda bullshit spreading around.

[–]Lolgamz627 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

There are commenters on there saying the data from this study is wildly skewed and biased, and they say it’s not form Harvard.

So where does the study actually come from. Both sides claim it comes from different sources.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

They’re not really rights if they don’t protect everyone.

[–]FormedBoredom -1 points0 points1 point 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Men are the primary victims. Fact.

[–]Kravego 11 points12 points13 points 6 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Depends on how you define "primary".

DV sucks and both sides get shit on in different ways.

[+]HeHathFury -10 points-9 points-8 points 6 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Men have it worse

[–]Kravego 10 points11 points12 points 6 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

[–]Kravego 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Once again "men have it worse" is completely subjective and you've not provided a single source to back up your claim of who wins the oppression olympics.

Sure, there are less resources for male DVs, and the courts are biased. On the other hand, there's a significantly lower chance that the male DIES or sustains permanent physical injury from the DV inflicted on him by his female partner.

Stop playing oppression olympics. SJWs do that like they're comparing dick sizes and it's embarrassing. DV sucks. For everyone. Just leave it at that.
