Why not just support decriminalizing prostitution?

I'm all for decriminalized prostitution. But for the same reason I'm for decriminalization of all drugs -- harm reduction.

However, decriminalization isn't going to solve loneliness.

I think the reason why this wouldn't work is because when men complain about not having sex, it's mostly not about the physical act itself. If it was, Masturbation and prostitution could solve this problem. It's more about the feeling of being desirable/valued/respected as a man. And for most men, the gauge for this is how many/what kind of women are interested in having sex with them.

The US is more likely to legalize crack/meth/heroin before prostitution (since most men using it would be straight). It would have an effect on the SMP (in favor of men), obviously. Maybe not as much as some RP think, or not as miniscule as BP think - but there would be some sort of effect.

It's one of those rare things the left & right collectively agree on. Also, decriminalization is typically based on the Nordic model meaning its legal to sell, but illegal to buy. A way to please both those against it & for it at the same time via pretending to meet in the middle in some nonsensical way.

Prostitution is already decriminalized for all practical reasons. Every guy can go out and buy himself a girl right now if he wants. It happens thousands (tens of thousands) of times everyday across the USA. The girls even provide an increasing wide variety of services, from your traditional street girl / brothel girl to girl friend'ish sugar babes, cam girls, strippers, etc.

The problem with the incel'ish dudes is that they're extremely risk adverse. They don't want to take the minimum risk involved in going to a whore. Its much of the same reason they're single in the first place.

I'm not for decriminalizing it, because decriminalization is pussy shit that leaves it in a legal gray area. People are allowed to do what they want with their bodies as long as consent is achieved.

It shouldn't be decriminalized - it should be legalized, full stop.

There is empirical evidence that suggests legalization and decriminalization lead to increased sex trafficking because all it does it make it more difficult to prosecute or arrest sex traffickers. These were done in European-Anglo countries, so it might be different in The United States, but I doubt it. It would benefit certain women a lot while it would be detrimental to others. This is generally why I do not support iin reality but I do support it ideally.

It’s not substitute for the real thing. That being said, I think it’s been proven that rape rates go down in places where it’s legalized. But I also think if we didn’t have a society that was so sexually emphatic, then people wouldn’t get so depressed about not sleeping with a ton of chicks. It puts so much pressure on everyone and breeds a ton of jealousy and increasing delinquency to get sex.

The only debate about legalizing prostitution is happening in negotiations with corrections officers unions, social service pension fund managers and health insurance executives; obviously anything that coerces women into sexual relationships with men is always fair game, the question was only over whose tent did the hosting and how were the profits divided.

I found the increase in human trafficking I've seen mentioned a bit disturbing.

The problem is its difficult to feel with confidence I'm not just feeding my confirmation bias when it comes to information that contradicts that.

At the same time sex negative folks have a massive bias at work, so how do I get information that is free of either bias?
