While it may be unpopular here...I personally would/will/do give my seat up for the Elderly, Disabled (I myself am disabled, but unless I was having an episode I would give it up), and Ladies (Ladies, not jerks that happen to be Women). If I found myself in a situation where a Woman was saying "AHEM IM A WOMAN YOU ARE A MAN GIVE ME THAT SEAT!" I would respond in a negative fashion...but if I was sitting there on a full bus and a kind lady/gentleman/elder/disabled were too walk in and stand casually, I would give up my seat.

Again, I know it may go against popular opinion on this subReddit..and believe me I am an MRA through and through...but I'm also a Gentleman, and if anyone was seemingly uncomfortable standing in a situation where I wouldn't mind trading places with them knowing that I could give them comfort and not mind the standing, I would...regardless of gender (again, not if the person is clearly a jerk though. Fuck jerks.).

You know what mentality drives me nuts? The fact that the woman's weight is considered relevant, and that the author of this post is using hate speech against someone who offers their seat to someone else.

There are plenty of ways to discuss the double-standard of chivalry without calling people fat or faggots.

I agree you shouldn't have to give up your seat on a bus just because a girl does not have one however in this situation I probably would have given up my seat just to be nice. Still my point remains it should not be mandatory for a man to instantly give up his seat on a bus because a women needs one.
