sometimes I feel like these stories mustn't be true. it has to be fabricated by some man-haters that are trying to intimidate me from seeking custody of my children (as near as I can tell their mother is unemployed and being evicted from her home by the end of the month).

I have small means to fight in court (and I believe her parents + my support payment would fund her lawyer) so every time I see something like this I just die inside and give up.

Just reading the title made my insides freeze. I am a woman, but I have felt for a long time that men are treated poorly, and women are spoiled. I feel so badly for this poor father. Honestly, fuck that judge! I will and always will fight for equal rights of both sexes, and the call that "judge" made is ridiculous. I hope that man can appeal and get a correct judgement!!!!!

Notice how there's absolutely no information given about what exactly the charges were (or any quotes from the verdict)??? If what they are saying is true, he would have been let go on appeal. But, that apparently didn't happen. So, you know there's something you are not being told here...

Articles on this subreddit are utterly humiliating in so far as the court's negligence regarding perception of character. The 5 year sentence itself is a non sequitur to this custodial case. I decided procreation was off the books at 14 (although I was depressed) thinking, why would I be so sadistic as to bring a child into this 'world' (term at the time was masochating grease pit). Stories of this nature only reinforce what I regard as an immature and ill-explored idea.

tl;dr Procreation? yeah… not so much.
