Hi lovely HVW,

This post is by no means a way to discredit men (and women) that are doing their due diligence to confront and resolve intergenerational trauma. Rather, this is a discussion point looking into how men perceive and treat romantic relationships when they have not addressed or sought professional help for their intergenerational trauma.

The aftermath of my previous relationship showed how my ex is a ticking time bomb. (That and more emotional and verbal abuse.) If I really did continue a relationship with him ending in marriage.... I would have propagated his intergenerational trauma into my own life and if we had children, our children's life! No thank you!

Also, insecure men that did not have a healthy relationship with parents will not be able to appreciate what they've never had. Unless they willingly go to therapy and counseling. Or so I'd like to hope.
