Most women that I see rejecting feminism are mothers of boys. They have a unique perspective into the lives of both men and women. My own mother is a really great example of this, growing up in the South in a fairly liberal household. She is a stay-at-home-mother of boy-girl twins (I'm the boy) and doesn't tolerate any bullshit from anyone. She does not consider herself a feminist, as far as I can tell. She probably hasn't heard of the Men's Rights Movement, but I'm sure she wouldn't consider herself part of it either. She seems to think that Heard lied, and her only statement on the matter was that Heard was actively hurting real victims of DV. Her style of egalitarianism takes into account the physical differences between men and women while respecting the natural abilities of both. She has taken some flak from her own sister about being a stay-at-home-mother and has not changed her stance. Her sister told her that she was a traitor to her gender by not having a job, even though my mom's lifelong goal was to raise two kids to be productive, contributing members of society.

I feel like most of these are just bad representations of feminism. Like I get that there's a huge toxic culture around the word "feminism" now but just because a bunch of misguided misandrist legbeards call themselves feminists doesn't mean they're an accurate portrayal of the ideology. True feminism is about equality and freedom of choice, which I fully support. Things like "I don't need feminism because I like cooking" are just bad takes on experiences with misandrists who claim to be feminists. It's about choice. You can like whatever you want. If someone shames you for taking on a traditional role because it's what you want then they're not a feminist, they're a self absorbed projecting loser who can't handle their own self dissatisfaction.

This is a mens rights sub, but this is an issue I think that does kind of pertain, although indirectly, to mens rights. so lets look at what we are really seeing.

A lot of people might see a bunch of women standing up for mens rights by saying such things and very bravely I might add, keep in mind the first ones they will burn are their own, see Nazi's 1930s. Others will see something more here. Many of us will see a bunch of women standing up for themselves. It really is more in between if you look at it. Each woman has a board with something written on it, some kind of defiance things against modern feminist's ideals. Each woman, has a list, or feels they have to stand up for men or boys in their lives.

Why?

Why do these women feel thy have to do this? take the fourth woman, why does she have to stand up for being a woman who works from home? Why does she get no respect for this? why does she feel feminist's taunt her, and her husband to the point she needs to take a stand?

Now read each woman, read what she is saying and before moving on tot he next, ask the why questions that need to be asked. Why are these women saying these things, what motivated them to feel the need to step up , write this out, and take a stand.

Now we ask, what was done to them, to make them feel this was needed, to make them step out of their lives and risk more torment to take this stand.

I don't have to answer this for you, I know once you get past the first happy spark that there is this group and many more women out there who side with mens rights and see us all as equals, and want more equality all the way with us and them till there is no us and them.. when you get past that great feeling, you will realize that these are not women, these are allies, people who are just as hurt by the lies as you are.

To those that don't 'get it' (why do they look like hostages, why are they saying they don't need feminism, etc.) there was a trend on social media years ago (same circa these pics are likely from) of girls doing the same thing except they were signs on why they needed feminism; usually with bullshit reasons like the wage gap. Fortunately a few ladies like these that happen to not be misandristic pigs took the opposite approach, though to much less appreciation obviously.

Semantically (and in this context), feminism and egalitarianism are different names for the same thing.

Take the definition of egalitarian:

Relating to or believing in the principle that all people are equal and deserve equal rights and opportunities.

Compared to the definition of feminism:

The advocacy of women's rights on the basis of the equality of the sexes.

The pictures you found are a response to radical feminism, in which people believe men, as a whole, are responsible for the oppression of women.

I'm 99% for this type of attitude from women.

This type of attitude did make me think of the 1% of times I question it. Teaching women to be strong, or tough, or resilient has a drawback. And this is not my story, so chalk it up to hearsay if you like, but emergency medical professionals who are caring for women who have been victims will commonly say the victims ask "please don't tell my father." Even in their most vulnerable moments, they love and respect their fathers so much that they don't want to be seen as a failure, because they know their fathers have done everything they can to prepare them for a cruel world, but they feel they've let them down somehow.

Now, the naivete of the victim, or the lack of broad teaching men should have of women is that love in a situation like that is not, or should not, be conditional.

If men could do anything, they could add to their teaching of daughters that "even if something terrible happens to you, I will be there for you, no matter what." A lot of women need that in their lives, and a tragedy need-not separate families.

Men can learn this and make it happen.

Feminism is already egalitarian. Helping women be treated as equals, helps break down the toxic structures that harm men as well.
