I've only known a handful of dudes who really "got it" when it comes to attracting women, and status was usually conferred by their looks.

I believe that status can be a game-changer for attraction, but it needs to fit two pretty elusive concepts, and one simple one:

  1. It needs to be in a field / topic that's generally considered popular or desirable. A man who owns and runs a daycare of for 250 kids isn't going to have tail thrown his way like a chain-smoking DJ at a 50-man dive bar. Likewise, athletes and rappers probably get the most attention of all. Generally, "leadership" or "ownership" itself isn't enough for status to help you get laid.
  2. You have to be the in the top 5% of whatever you are. Saw a clip of a decently attractive streamer saying she'd be attracted to a dude who was good at games but only if he was one of the very best. She was dating a dude who owned a successful start-up. So even if you're really damn good at something, it's probably not enough to add significant value.
  3. It makes you gobs of money. Even then, I think the first two concepts are still more dominant. Mark Zuckerberg is a multi-billionaire, but I don't think he's got women writing him love letters. I guess he could if he wanted it bad enough.

My point is I don't think that chasing status is a really good strategy; it's more so just something to pursue if you're interested in a desirable field or already involved in it and its paying dividends. I think it's relevant because there's probably a 16-year old somewhere reading RP shit and thinking that making more money or building up their career will get them laid.

Let me know what y'all think!

EDIT: As many have made evident, and I knew I was missing as I wrote, scale is also important when considering status. You can also develop your status in a certain niche like a social club, friend group, or workplace. Again, this is still elusive because it firstly depends on your looks, charisma, and your social aptitude, noneof which can really be taught methodically.
