I've often lamented the fact that men's issues are constantly overlooked, and often dismissed as irrelevant.

When i spoke recently to a group of female friends that feminism may not be wholly inclusive and understanding towards men's rights they laughed at me.

Well, they actually mocked me - and then accused me of being a CIS male, happy and content with the current treatment towards women (As they put it, it doesn't affect me).

This couldn't be further from the truth!

As a group we've often traveled to meetups and protestations to combat and show our support that legislation against abortion and the like is sickening - and they've accused me of that?

It deeply upset me, and i won't lie that i claimed otherwise.

After the lecture of how morally reprehensible i was and they couldn't believe a man like i would treat them, i ended up losing my temper.

Now i didn't lose my temper in the traditional sense But i let loose in a floundering of accusations towards them, of how they were dismissive towards male circumcision (Which, i do NOT support being performed on young children unwillingly) and the downplaying of sexual assault and domestic violence against men!

The reply they all gave me was chilling.

In regards towards male circumcision they saw no adverse effects I tried to explain i had no issue with the actual circumcision itself dependent on the medical ground required - but it shouldn't be performed on an unwilling child as it reduces the sexual pleasure and may seriously damage the sexual organ for minor health benefits (which CAN wait until the child is old enough to give consent!)

The reply they gave to circumcision was much longer than i said, but i don't wish to type it fully currently...

There response to sexual assault however pushed me over the edge, they claimed that if a man is erect that they can't logically be raped or sexually assaulted - i tried to make the comparison of a women being forced to have intercourse and the vagina would become naturally moist, that earn't me much glowering and huffing.

However. The icing on the cake of me leaving the social group of friends Was there response about domestic violence.

Men perpetuated domestic violence on women AND children far more than women, and as such they were obviously less inclined to parenting which they also reasoned explained the treatment of fathers in the legal system.

I was fairly shaking in anger when i got up, i fairly spat at them that i regretted spending the past 2 years helping them - giving them a lift when they were moving into Cambridge, when they couldn't drive there god damn Persian cat to the vets to check out a hairball.

And a hundred other minor things.

They of course denounced me on Facebook, lauding me as extremely aggressive individual when we were speaking in the cafe - and that i ended up insulting them and my other friends.

I couldn't respond, as they all conveniently blocked me.

That's the end to my long rant, and i'm sorry for ranting like that!

It's just, i lost all my friends - and i'm confused as to why they reacted the way they did, i want to campaign for recognition towards men's rights but i'm scared of those women and the like denouncing me.
