Men as partners are the problem

Any feminists reading this : You are the one common link in all of your failed relationships.

Look inward and find a therapist who will help you out of Femceldom!

And remember this, we don't owe you marriage because you were nice to us for 15 minutes.

[–]Bowlnk 157 points158 points159 points 3 years ago (15 children) | Copy Link

I love people get their own words used against them.

[–]fuckfsihateem 167 points168 points169 points 3 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link

It's even funnier because their claims are usually bogus. Almost no incels claim they "deserve sex". Most either hate themselves or hate the fact that they were brought up on the lie that women are perfect angels who want nice men, and are absolutely pissed off at how bullshit it is.

In contrast they truly believe they deserve children, marriage, and provision from us. Fuck them all. They deserve nothing.

Marriage and later divorce

[–]WarProgenitor 50 points51 points52 points 3 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Marriage is just a horrible financial decision for men these days, sincerely no point in it.

[–]cowpandas 26 points27 points28 points 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

I don’t want to throw the baby out with the bathwater here. I absolutely adore my wife and I’ve never trusted anyone more… She also makes more than me and it really helps.

[–]WarProgenitor 8 points9 points10 points 3 years ago* (3 children) | Copy Link

You can have all those things, and just not get married and not call her your wife.

Even though she makes more, if you two divorced, there typically isn't an even pay out, and you'd probably end up owing her money if any large assests are solely in your name.

Also if you two have kids, they'll most likely prioritize time with the mother, then demand you pay child support on the back end to cover the costs of the days where your children are taken from you.

Weddings and commitment ceremonies are great, but marriages certified by court documents just seem like a horrible situation for straight men all around imo.

[–]cowpandas 19 points20 points21 points 3 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link

Idk I just think when it comes to mensrights, we can’t divide lines of saying it’s not for men who are married and enjoy their marriages.

We’re both extremely confident in the other person’s fidelity, (we don’t just love each other, but we like each other as well) and I know I personally would be significantly less at ease if we weren’t married. I know that’s not the case for everyone, but I don’t think I’d do well without that as a start for stability.

In fact, I’m a little weird (and know I’m probably in a growing minority of this) in that I think one of the reasons they’re so much division today between genders is our inability to know what covenant or real commitment looks like. And I personally think the answer is more and deeper commitment, not less.

[–]WarProgenitor 11 points12 points13 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Men rights definitely includes married men who love their marriages. I'm just wary of marriages as a whole. Which I'll admit is a slight bias due to my bad personal experience with one. I just can't seem to trust a companion with my financial future like I ever did before.

[–]cowpandas 8 points9 points10 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I get that. My wife is from a divorced family where the dad cheated multiple times and contracted an std from it… Just brutal and completely gut wrenching.

But I actually think that’s been a big gift for us in a weird way. We see that and we know where the path of temporary selfishness over commitment leads… Just so much death to yourself required to make a marriage work, but I think I’m a better man for it. The society we’re in puts personal needs and desires as the absolute pinnacle of life and it’s just… not, man.

No OP, I am involuntary celibate. I would love some pussy rn — it’s been months. 😩

[+]Glass-Dimension-8827 -11 points-10 points-9 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I think the “deserving sex” thing comes up when they start talking about sexual distribution lol. I actually had to laugh while typing it because it sounds crazy, like there’s a certain amount of shares of sex that are available that should also be spread fairly among the population.

[–]Entire_Insurance_532 -2 points-1 points0 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I don’t know why you got down voted because this is true and my experience too when I see people debate some incels. A lot talk about sex distribution in those Incel forums but obviously not all. But that idea of sex distribution I’ve only heard to come from them although the idea probably existed a long time ago.

[–]Glass-Dimension-8827 -3 points-2 points-1 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Probably by the prime who believe in sex shares. They’ll be ok lol

[–]Entire_Insurance_532 -5 points-4 points-3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I don’t think they say that Incels say they deserve sex, they say that it more the way the incels act and their ideologies that give people the impression it seems like they think they are entitled to sex.

[–]Ftpiercecracker1 14 points15 points16 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Look inward and find a therapist who will help you out of Femceldom!

Lol, you think therapists are RP? And even if they are you think they are going to risk their license telling women the truth??

99% of therapist are some of the most BP, gynocentric people out there, not to mention female themselves.

[–]reverbiscrap2 points 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

In my experience, women go to therapists because they are the only people who will tell them the truth and will not be fought against for saying it.

The therapist can say the obvious truth and get away with it because they are a 'professional', compared to any man who will be 'wrong/bashing/hating/misogynistic' for saying negative things to a woman.

[–]40moreyears 54 points55 points56 points 3 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Really the most accurate term is inspin. An involuntary spinster. I’m not sure why spinster isn’t used much anymore. It’s accurate and has a ring to it. Unlike the spinsters themselves.

[–]Bowlnk 41 points42 points43 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I’m not sure why spinster isn’t used much anymore.

Likely because someone took offence

I've had conversations like this with a few of my wife's "progressive feminist" friends. They often say, "I've dated x number of guys they're all losers or idiots, or not good enough for me". I replied the one night saying this exact point, the constant in these relationships not working is you, if you date and sleep with dozens of men and none want to commit to you, it's you. Of course, they rolled their eyes and brushed it off as if that couldn't be possible lol

Don't use femcel bro, incel is genderless

[–]IceCorrect 16 points17 points18 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

But today it's nearly impossible for women to be incel, but on other hand it's harder for them to be in relationship and for this celibacy femcel imply

[–]dw87190 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I've met plenty of women in my time who's celibacy is entirely voluntary. What they all have in common, is seething hatred for men

Incel is about involuntary

As an interesting counterexample, or whatever, use the search box in the twox subreddit and restrict it to that subreddit for the post "Amazon reviews on Why Women Deserve less making me scared of men". Thumbnail synopsis: as usual, it's all men's fault.

[–]reverbiscrap1 point 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I'll do this later.

[–]Terrible_Head_8847 7 points8 points9 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It’s not the fault of these women, it’s the fault of every man in the world. I get that she doesn’t want to criticise her paying customers, but still, LOL.

[–]BKEnjoyer 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Women need to support their male partners, a lot of them will yell about “I’m not your therapist” but don’t realize that that emotional support is an important part of a relationship

Not having kids is a choice women are free to make, but they should be aware that it is a choice. Too often it seems like a game of how you can blame men for womens problems. Feminists wants to be both empowered and the victim, but those two are opposites.

These women chose relationships where their partner didnt want kids, or they chose hookups in their yourh over establishing stable relationships. They made choices, yet they blame the men.

I chose to enter a relationship with a woman who didnt want kids, so Im not going to try to be the victim, because im not. To me the relationship was more important than kids.

Im not the victim, just like these women arent victims.

[–]anoncitizen4 35 points36 points37 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I don't disagree with you but I think these women see it as "their aren't any men worth having a child with" they blame it on men. But, as a wise man once said: "if you meet an asshole in the morning, you met an asshole. If you meet assholed all day long, you are the asshole"

[–]Standard-Broccoli107 8 points9 points10 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Good point. I think the issue is that when women look for too long then less and less men are interested in having babies with them. And in that decreasing pool they are looking for the men they chased at their peak.

Expectations have risen while the quality have decreased, so in the end they are left with nothing.

[–]KrazyJazz 112 points113 points114 points 3 years ago* (8 children) | Copy Link

Eighty-two percent of all the women in the study were single...Some women had never been in a serious relationship for reasons they could not quite understand...Between the never-married singles and the women whose relationships had ended, four-fifths of women in this study were single.

What about a tremendous lack of self awareness despite being super-duper educated?

Among the nearly 10% of women who were in stable relationships, women were undertaking egg freezing while waiting for their partners to be "ready" to have children. Men who were "unready" cited various reasons for their delay, for example, completion of advanced degrees or professional training, significant career moves, or in some cases, because they were significantly younger than their female partners.

Ambition. When it comes to men, it's a problem if they don't have some. It's also a problem when they do have some. Hey! When the gift from Heaven a woman is ready to breed, she's ready. That means her husband/partner/BF is ready too, whether he likes it or not...

I argue that educated American women have a specific "men as partners" problem as well, one that needs to be recognized, called out, and confronted.

American goddesses women, in the other hand, are perfectly fine, balanced and reasonable, right? No problemo...at all...says the 66 years old married with two kids (27 & 24) overeducated bourgeois feminist from Connecticut.

Men are the problem. It took a PhD & a lifetime of studies and observations to spawn such a revolutionary, groundbreaking theory. Amazing.

[–]BoomTheBear86 57 points58 points59 points 3 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

The part where the men are demonised for not wanting kids yet due to wanting to fulfill career ambition first is wild.

Like, don’t we usually praise people when they exercise such judgement about wanting to be able to give their kids the best life and not rushing into it?

Yet here, it’s apparently a good reason to shade guys because the woman has personally decided “she is ready” and what her partner thinks is kinda irrelevant?

Gee. I wonder whether this mindset has anything to do with the number of single mothers we see in modern times? Surely not.

At some point we actually need to start giving women some accountability for the kind of men (or not) they want to father their kids. Like I get it, your biological clock is ticking, so you want kids. That doesn’t mean pumping one out with Deadbeat McIrresponsible is suddenly something you had no choice but to do. He’s a shitty dad, and you picked him. The onus is on you both.

But no. It doesn’t work like that. Women pick men and then find out the man doesn’t want kids (yet or ever) and then it’s the man’s fault…? Like, maybe discuss the topic sooner rather than later?

[–]p3ngwin 36 points37 points38 points 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Like I get it, your biological clock is ticking, so you want kids.

Funny how when men have "sexual urges" driven by hormones, we're demonised for being "shallow sex-oriented, commitment-phobe, misogynists who objectify women", but when women have hormonal urges, their desire to have children, their shitty moods, etc are all socially acceptable o.O

[+]BoomTheBear86 -7 points-6 points-5 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Whilst I agree with your general sentiment I’m not sure the “biological clock” is the same as what you describe.

By biological clock, I mean the women’s recognition that as she ages, her body becomes less and less likely of successfully carrying a pregnancy. This is an empirical fact which is completely unaffected by her emotions towards it. Recognition of this fact can motivate women to urgently “try to have children” irrespective of whether their emotions compel them to or not, because they know beyond a certain point, it becomes impossible for them to have children altogether.

It’s not me saying “therefore their emotional insistence is fair play” at all. Rather I can at least appreciate where some of the motivation comes from, but it still doesn’t mean the thoughts of the men she is involved with (and whether they want to be fathers or not) are irrelevant. I don’t see it the same as a “man’s sex drive” however.

Women’s moods during periods would be the correlation to a man’s sex drive. Neither of which entitle them to expect their desired sex partner to bow down to their feelings because “biology”.

[–]p3ngwin 19 points20 points21 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Recognition of this fact can motivate women to urgently “try to have children” irrespective of whether their emotions compel them to or not, because they know beyond a certain point, it becomes impossible for them to have children altogether.

Their problem, not men's obligation.

it’s not me saying “therefore their emotional insistence is fair play” at all.

I never implied that.

I'm literally saying women aren't entitled to relationships, marriage, or kids, no matter what "time-pressure" or "urges" they have.

I don’t see it the same as a “man’s sex drive” however.

Men have needs and wants too.

So many women want to shit on me for expecting sex.

E.G. "women are not vending machines to put kindness coins into in order to receive sex".

Fine, then men are not vending machines to put sex coins into in order to expect a relationship, or children.

My point is these women are insane to point the blame, and shame, at men for their own failures to secure a man they had decades to find, if they simply prioritised it.

[–]BoomTheBear86 -5 points-4 points-3 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I don’t disagree with any of this. And I never implied that women’s biological clock is “men’s problem or obligation”. In fact I specifically pointed out that a woman recognising it doesn’t require a man to respond to it at all. Rather I was just trying to illustrate that it isn’t so much a “drive” that compels women to act this way, so much as a recognition of an objective truth (they will one day be unable to have children) and thus it doesn’t even fall into the radar of “needs” in my opinion because it isn’t driven by feelings or hormones.

Neither sex has the right to make the other accountable or responsible for their needs or desires though. Men want sex; women don’t have to give it. Women want kids; men don’t have to give them. If these things matter enough to the individual, they will pursue means to make them happen without cowing the other into providing them through coercion or fear. If they don’t do that; well, I’d argue it clearly doesn’t matter to them enough then does it?

[–]p3ngwin 10 points11 points12 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Fine, if you want disagree that "hormones" or "urges", or "drive" is what makes women want kids, then so be it.

For some, it is most definitely an internal state that drives the "baby rabies", for others it might be a more intellectual, and rational, recognition, as you put it.

It's not really the point of the greater topic though, so let's not split hairs, and instead let's appreciate we're on the same general page, and leave it here :)

[–]Castruccio_Castracan 7 points8 points9 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

What about a tremendous lack of self awareness despite being super-duper educated?

Education gives you the tools (hopefully, if you studied somewhere decent), the willing to use them is a whole other thing.

[–]p3ngwin 24 points25 points26 points 3 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

... or in some cases, because they were significantly younger than their female partners.

Funny how when men choose "significantly younger women" as partners, women all over call it out as "controlling, grooming, financial abuse", etc.

Yet a woman, who is in control of sexual intimacy, is with a "significantly younger partner" is demanding the man be "ready" for children isn't "controlling and abusive" now ?

When a man says he wants children, feminists/SJW's/I.D.-Police/etc bleat about:

"oh you just want women to stay barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen !!! women can be in STEM/CEO's/top political positions too you shitlord misogynist !!!".

but when women say they want to have kids, and even shame, and demand, that men comply .... <crickets> ....

[–]fuckfsihateem 60 points61 points62 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Ahh yes it's our fault for not wanting to fuck and marry them.

Tell me, which gender has been screeching about men upset about not having sex/partners as "disgusting incels" for the past decade or so?

[–]denyjunctionfunction 37 points38 points39 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It’s not that men don’t want to fuck and marry them, it’s that the men that they want don’t want to fuck and marry them, and they are too egotistical to lower their standards from their delusional ideal man.

I wish I knew a way to quickly determine which women were sensible and which women are on the gynospectrum.
Can anyone think of one specific question to ask or other tell-tale signs, to figure it out?? I already know which ones to avoid, but sometimes the rabid ones are costumed like trad ladies. Even at church.

Some women had never been in a serious relationship for reasons they could not quite understand. Many of these single women expressed regret and puzzlement over how they had "ended up" this way.

[–]BoomTheBear86 48 points49 points50 points 3 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

From the article:

“Exhibiting bad behaviours such as infidelity and ageism…” (describing men’s contribution towards these women not having a partner)

Fuck. Right. Off.

Infidelity is not a one way street. Since sexual opportunities have opened up to women infidelity in women has skyrocketed. The difference is most men are not in a position to cheat because most men don’t have massive access to women who want to sleep with them. So the behaviours of the top end of men are being generalised onto the whole.

And ageism? Fuck off. People are allowed to not want to date someone because of a certain age.

Basically, these established women are moaning because men in “their bracket” don’t want them. Feminism has sold you a lie ladies.

Successful, powerful and rich men do not, and have never wanted women who are wealthy and powerful. Why? Because men do not give a single flying fuck about a woman’s material status. Men will marry waitresses and baristas if they’re attracted to her. They don’t care. A woman being a “big boss” CEO with 5 kinds of higher education means little to them because it doesn’t make a woman more or less attractive, because power, influence and financial security are masculine traits and men by and large aren’t looking to date a carbon copy of themselves.

Men have always been unequivocally clear on this. Men value youth, purity and faithfulness. They look for partners who are attractive, nurturing and do not undermine his ability to exercise his masculine role. A woman jostling for prime position in the financial and education stakes represents a potential argumentative partner, so why would a man pick that woman when a younger, less of potentially challenging woman is also willing to partner up with him?

You can pathologise it all you like. It doesn’t matter. Men just do not see age, finances and power as attractive as women do, and it’s not their fault. It’s just how things are. Don’t be pissed off at men for behaving as they have done for thousands of years. Be pissed off that feminism convinced you you can behave like this and still “have it all” regarding the perks of being a “traditional woman” when you’re non traditional.

There is nothing wrong with women wanting to work and be rich. But just be smart and honest enough to realise that if you’re doing these things, don’t do them because you think that’s what men want, or should want, because men have NEVER as a group by and large articulated this to be the case. Feminism was telling you what a woman can do to be powerful, and capable, not what makes her desirable as a partner for men.

And the result now is now that this is clear, the only way forward is for feminism to start telling men what they SHOULD be attracted to so it aligns with what feminism says. Piss off. Ladies are entitled to want what they want, no problem. Same for men.

Men expressing their preferences in a partner is a natural right they have. It cannot be taken away.

[–]parasitius[S] 20 points21 points22 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Basically, these established women are moaning because men in “their bracket” don’t want them. Feminism has sold you a lie ladies.

This particular phrasing really made me think!

Think about that, how it passes around unquestioned - what a woman thinks her "bracket" is. As men we even might hear them talk about their "bracket" without questioning it

This is not a table from the IRS. Your bracket is evaluated by the free sexual marketplace, supply and demand. You thought you were a millionaire but you look at the men who have the same type of job and same education as you and they're not into you but clearly have much better options? Guess what, the marketplace is telling you you dead fucking wrong. The "bracket" you are looking at is one you merely aspire to, not one you qualify for

That's really the message I think women need

The sexual marketplace was never, has never, will never be based on a mechanical comparison of "specs" one-for-one. I *am* the car that has 500 hp and goes 0-60 in 3.4 seconds, what I need is a really garage to park it in, not another car.

[–]BoomTheBear86 12 points13 points14 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Total agree. The bracket concept was basically shorthand for “what people think their worth is”. The issue here is the perception is skewed. Women with material success struggle amongst men of the same ilk- those men are really not “their bracket” but they think they are.

Then again, a lot of women have completely wild interpretations of their own value these days when it comes to a relationship and what they offer. They appraise the wrong things at the wrong value and then get made when men don’t barter with them. Like having a great job and 6 figs makes you a kickass human for sure but that doesn’t mean it means other people should find you attractive and you can’t behave all pouty when they kinda shrug at it and don’t really care.

Why would a man with 6-7 figs give a shit how much a woman earns? I mean do they even think about it? He can pick who he wants. He is in a state of no material want. Money is no object. So why would they think a woman with her own money would impress him? Most women who are wealthy don’t event engage in wealth sharing anyway so it’s irrelevant.

because men in “their bracket” don’t want them.

But they give zero shits that men in their 20s are dealing with nobody in their "bracket" wanting them.

Couldn’t have worded it better

[–]sorathecrow- 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I'd be attracted to a woman with material wealth if I had some rational confidence that wealth would benefit me in any way. The problem is I and most men know her money will always be her money and she will never "provide" like I am expected to. And in fact her wealth will always be used as a measuring stick to compare herself to me, and if I can't "keep up" or outpace her, I'll be seen as lesser. That's the opposite of attractive.

[–]BoomTheBear86 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This is just it.

For men, wealth is magnetic because it is implied (where a man has it) that it means he leads a comfortable lifestyle, and he’s willing to extend that comfort to women he interacts with romantically or sexually. Be it dinner, shopping, holidays, not having to worry about work. Just generally “taking care of things” and for the “right woman” most wealthy men are prepared to do this, and don’t really see it as an issue. They do it willingly.

With wealthy women, their wealth is rarely if ever presented to any prospective men as a “this could mean comfort for you” - it’s solely presented as a medal of her achievements. At the very least it means “you don’t have to worry about me” in so much as she won’t need him to provide for her, but it doesn’t signal the same thing to a prospective male partner that a man’s wealth may to a woman.

And exceedingly rare is the woman in general, who because of her wealth abandons notions the man must do some provision. By this I mean you will rarely see a woman with wealth, who, as a result is willing to (in men she dates) pay for the dates, pay expenses and do that upfront financial show. She will still probably expect he tries to at least meet her halfway, or in some cases will still expect him to “treat her” to show his worth.

This is the difference. This is why wealth to men doesn’t mean the same thing. To wealthy men it’s irrelevant. To men who would enjoy that wealth, the woman is either totally uninterested in such men, or, if she is, he’s not really going to “enjoy” the benefits of that wealth in the same way a girl who has captured the genuine affections of a rich dude will get to enjoy his. So most men write it off as an irrelevant trait. it’s not bad. It’s not good. It just is.

I'm a woman and i do not agree with this. The vast majority of men prefer women with better education and more money. I've been rejected before multiple times because I am only getting my associates degree. And I can't say I blame them.

Here here, both of my ex wives were college educated and had good jobs and high ambition when we married. Since I am a high earner, within two years both stopped working. That was a turn off for me as I like someone who is accomplished. But they both ended up rejecting me as the money I made wasn't enough to provide them with the lifestyle they expected.

Well, the 600 Lb gorilla in the room for these women is that egg freezing has a fairly low chance of success.

https://www.wellandgood.com/egg-freezing-success-rates/

Very few centers tell you that you’ll likely need more than one cycle.” A 2017 paper found that women at ages 34, 37, or 42 years old would have to freeze 10, 20, and 61 eggs, respectively, to have a 75 percent likelihood of having at least one baby.

So what frequently happens is:

https://nationalpost.com/news/world/i-was-sad-i-was-angry-i-was-ashamed-inside-the-struggle-to-conceive-with-frozen-eggs

Adams remembers feeling a wonderful sense of freedom after she froze her eggs in her late 30s, despite the $19,000 cost. Her plan was to work a few more years, find a great guy to marry and still have a house full of her own children.

...

In early 2017, with her 45th birthday looming and no sign of Mr. Right, she decided to start a family on her own. She excitedly unfroze the 11 eggs she had stored and selected a sperm donor.

Two eggs failed to survive the thawing process. Three more failed to fertilize. That left six embryos, of which five appeared to be abnormal. The last one was implanted in her uterus. On the morning of March 7, she got the devastating news that it, too, had failed.

Adams was not pregnant, and her chances of carrying her genetic child had just dropped to near zero. She remembers screaming like “a wild animal,” throwing books, papers, her laptop — and collapsing to the ground.

Looks like the insurance policy got cancelled...

Schadenfreude (/ˈʃɑːdənfrɔɪdə/; German: [ˈʃaːdn̩ˌfʁɔʏ̯də] (listen); lit. 'harm-joy') is the experience of pleasure, joy, or self-satisfaction that comes from learning of or witnessing the troubles, failures, or humiliation of another. It is a borrowed word from German, with no direct translation, that originated in the 18th century.

Schadenfreude has been detected in children as young as 24 months and may be an important social emotion establishing "inequity aversion".[1]

This reminds me of the ol feminista statement from about a decade ago now that shamed men for not f**king fat chicks.

All this 'sexual revolution' experiment was going so well for the ladies until men started exercising their own preferences. Now all the sudden it's a problem and how dare men have standards at all!

I also find it amusing that the author is both completely unaware of her own bias on the subject and how, as such, she elected not to take into account female mating strategy. These women aren't freezing their eggs because they can't find partners, they are freezing their eggs because they aren't getting the men they want, because the kind of men who care about a woman's income generally don't have much income themselves. And really, lets be honest, it is an extreme minority of men out there with granny fetishes; (in regards to the ageism comment the author mentioned)
Sorry ladies, that 20 something Chad isn't interested in popping babies into your 55 year old, dead womb, to start a family. He's the pool boy.

"Sorry ladies, that 20 something Chad isn't interested in popping babies into your 55 year old, dead womb, to start a family. He's the pool boy."

Even the successful 55 year old man that they believe they could realistically have is looking at younger women. Modern women have been painting themselves into a corner.

[–]BoomTheBear86 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Indeed.

Men tend to accumulate “social value” as they age as attractive masculinity (stability, ability to provide, maturity, leading) tend to be concepts that grow over time. Men “hit their stride” mid thirties to mid fourties.

Women in traditional terms (remember that, because that’s what a lot of men are still into, even if they don’t say so) tend to peak their social value very quickly when they’re young, but it rapidly falls off unless she is already in a relationship and can derive value by proxy from that or her role as a mother. Women are traditionally valued on looks, fertility and purity. All things that tend to peak when women are young but sexually mature. So around early twenties.

The thing is, modern women use their time when they’re “socially valuable” badly. This is the time where they hold a LOT of traditional value and effectively have their pick of the market in general terms. But what we’re seeing is women using this time to actively undermine this value by engaging in the hookup culture scene and avoiding serious relationships and settling down to lay foundations for a family. A lot of men don’t have their prime value at this point but older men do. Some of the girls will look to these older men instead.

When these women age, if they haven’t coupled up, it becomes a lot harder than it does for men because their ability to barter against the younger women is weaker, and these younger women will show interest in the men now they’re more established.

This isn’t to say women have no chance if they’re older, but things can become very difficult if they’re “non traditional” because from the mans perspective it’s just a lot of potential cons he may have to deal with when he also has the option of picking a woman without these risks.

Women do the same. Between picking the guy who is a great guy and established, and a great guy who promises he will one day establish himself, they’ll pick the first one generally because the promise of something is weaker than the fact of that thing. And so it goes for the men. They’re more likely to pick the woman who presents as “traditionally feminine” in fact than the woman who doesn’t, but promises she could be if you take a chance on her.

Eighty-two percent of all the women in the study were single, with no partner in sight.

Wonderful! Let’s create more single mothers! Nevermind that single mothers are a population whose children are twice as likely to drop out of high school, 2.5 times more likely to become teen moms, 1.5 times as likely to be unemployed and not looking for work, and are less likely to go to college, have lower GPAs, and have more unexcused absences while attending K-12 education.

The coping is astounding in this woman's research. According to her women found themselves in relationships with unstable, unready, cheating or too young men. How do you find yourself in a bad relationship? Didn't they choose and stayed with these men? Maybe they should educate these desperate women that freezing eggs in mid to late 30s is not very effective. Most of favourable stats for success are from egg freezing up to mid 20s. Men should know that too, also the cost involved.

Maybe these woman, should look inward, of there own behaviour. It's hard for me to comprehend, how we as a society, never holding woman accountability for there actions. It tells me, that there is no correlation between intelligence and education, since we have reached this point of stupidity in our society. Secondly these women have to know. Having a child is not like having a dog. How selfish it is, to plan having a child, as a single parents. They should be ashame of them self, by freezing there eggs down.

This comes down in large part to entitlement. 80% of women feel entitled to the top 20% of men so they are all fighting for the same group of men who have many options. If women would lower their standards to include more men in the dating pool then they would find the men who have more similar relationship and family goals. The top 20% of men with all of the options are having fun dating the top 80% of women and are in no hurry to settle down.

Perhaps - and I believe this - those women aren’t relationship value and the men they weee with don’t see value in being in a long term relationship or marriage with these aforementioned women.

I know I’ve “dated” plenty of women with no intention of long term because well…they weren’t relationship material and not someone who I’d want to engage with in a daily basis. But yeah it’s all the guy’s faults

To wit, highly educated American professional women are often trying their hardest to find compatible male partners, with whom they can build families. But these stories exemplify women's three major partnership challenges:

Men who are reluctant to partner with high-achieving women, leaving these women single for many years. Men who are unready for marriage and children, often leading to relationship demise. Men who exhibit bad behavior, including infidelity and ageism, which often leads to relationship instability and rupture. Men as partners are the problem

You aren't allowed preference. You give those women babies now and this complex social issue can definitely be defined as men being bad in 3 bullet points

Men who are reluctant to partner with high-achieving women, leaving these women single for many years.

This is the bit that really pisses me off! The truth is that most average men would be more than happy to partner up with a ‘high-achieving woman’. The fact is that these ‘high-achieving women’ don’t want to partner with an average man.

I’ve always done just fine in dating in my 39 years of life. I’ve never given a second thought to a potential girlfriends job or education level. And as a carpenter myself I have never ever ever ever been give the opportunity to seriously date a woman with a degree or a higher paying profession than mine.

Men who are reluctant to partner with high-achieving women, leaving these women single for many years.

- You mean women who are likely reluctant to be stay at home mothers?

Men who are unready for marriage and children, often leading to relationship demise.

- But the women chose to stay with these men and 'change their minds'?

Men who exhibit bad behavior, including infidelity and ageism, which often leads to relationship instability and rupture.

- Married men and women cheat at virtually the same rate (M-28% F-24%) and age is absolutely a legitimate factor in choosing a partner to have kids as it's scientifically provable to be more dangerous (geriatric pregnancy phase) in older women.

[–]parasitius[S] 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

- You mean women who are likely reluctant to be stay at home mothers?

That's not even it for me, am I the only one?

Literally for me, I'm much more wary of the educated ones because they tend to have this feminist ideological indoctrination that they hide for the longest time but then let it out, in its pure unadulterated evil form, at the most opportune moment

It's literally like being black and dating a girl and finding out her dad was in the KKK but he's already dead and she claims mom and her sister didn't support it, they only attended rallies until age 12 and then quit going. Ohhhh kay, that's fine, but why the fuck risk it with the red flags when there are safer options etc.

And yeah it is literally sad that such everyday things like a master's degree are now red flags for such a thing, but that's just the reality of the Western and Anglo sphere cultures that have lost their mind to ideological possession

I literally _JUST_ don't trust them. I read an article this morning written by an Australian woman who told the story of men holding the door for her her whole life and how bitterly angry she was deep down in side but still smiled and said thank you at the end. You have no idea how much these women resent you, (Jordan Peterson voice), you have absolutely no idea.

I don't think this is a problem at all.

Studies show that college educated women are around 50% less likely to get divorced https://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2015/12/04/education-and-marriage/

Women who get married between 28-40 have the lowest divorce rates. Although as long as you wait until 25 you're probably ok. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/2378023119873497&ved=2ahUKEwjox6SY-PL9AhUkk2oFHXfIBK4QFnoECCAQAQ&usg=AOvVaw3KMUwYYo70RUh5g_u1RsXF

Women who marry someone close to them in age have lowest divorcerates. https://www.hg.org/legal-articles/age-difference-between-spouses-impacts-likelihood-of-divorce-34215

So basically, getting an education and marrying later in life is a smart idea if you want to avoid divorce.

However the author in this study is weird as fuck for blaming everything on men. This isn't mens fault because this isn't a problem at all. Lots of older couples rely on sperm banks, since the man's sperm quality isn't good anymore. So why is it only a "problem" for women?

Young wannabe liberal progressives of the "I just want old norms challenged so everyone can be what they want to be"-variety, they should really pay attention to all the foul crazy that goes on in gender studies.

What the gender charlatans in academia want has nothing to do with liberal values, and everything to to with wanting to shape people in molds they see fit.

She's a gender historian (my partner asked me "What the hell does that even mean" - partner is a multiple degree doctorate. I too can only guess wtf, but it's clear that it means that this woman is someone highly biased)

I think the problem that is completely glossed over here is an issue of standards and refusal to compromise.

You can be uncompromising all you want, and you can be alone all your life (or continue to have failed and failing relationships).

From my personal experience, these high performers are comparable to people with Asperger's: they may highly excel in areas, but they are cripplingly deficient when it comes to certain social and relationship fashions.

Unfortunately, nowdays a lot of them aren't even high performers, they're just good and making themselves look good. One woman I know did that to get herself into Google and stay there. She really played her gender card hard instead of going on merit (which her merits were pretty amazing as well, but she hid those behind gender and race in all of her apps and interviews...)

There needs to be a way to respond to these articles other than just Reddit.

" a specific "men as partners" problem as well, one that needs to be recognized, called out, and confronted"

Oh really, a confrontation? What are you going to do? Are you going to publish a bunch of man shaming articles and run it in old media news rags? That strategy burned out 10 years ago, and not even the most insecure men are susceptible to be swayed by that any longer. Besides the audience is aging and all but female now.

Apart from that, you have nothing. Any other solution would involve tyranny and shotgun marriages. That's too far even for a gender charlatan.

But I digress, I honestly think she's lying. She's just another grifter making bank on bewildered women with that sweet, yet ultimately hollow "It's not you, it's them".

I'm getting less and less triggered by these man shaming articles, and everything designed to pep, coddle and "empower" women. When you see what it does to women who marinate in it for too long, holy shit! Maybe we're the lucky ones?

At least we get to keep our minds.

People say that woman have to choose between children or careers.

Men have to do the same thing. I know a guy who's a high ranking exec for a company. He doesn't have children, he can't. He has to travel around too much to do that. He goes on holiday, and he's answering emails every night.

It's funny because the ugly as fuck feminist bitch that wrote this never had a man to begin with so she has no experience with men.

I mean look at her, I wouldn't fuck that with a 1000 mile pole.

You didn't put time and effort into finding a quality partner in your 20's and 30's and now are upset you couldn't find a quality partner.

Sounds like a you problem.

This is identical to the tate followers constantly complaining about "modern women." If you can't maintain a relationship with anyone of the opposite sex, that's a you problem

It looks like OP posted an AMP link. These should load faster, but AMP is controversial because of concerns over privacy and the Open Web.

Typical feminist sadly. Refuses to be accountable for her own actions and vilifies men for her hitting the brick wall.

Anybody have a link to “this study”. If she is basing her 82% of all women off of 150 women she interviewed when there is 108M women in the US, then that claim is rubbish. Come on now 😂

Let me translate : our career is more important than merriage and having kids . And we are afraid to become infertile when we get older. If some man wants to merry us when we get older and prune , there will be lot of you ger and more beautifull competetors . Top of being older if we can find some idiot enough rich and career and unmerried and IF he wants to be a father and if we can not give birth we have zero chance .

50% of all marriages end in a divorce and 80% of those 50% are ended by the woman, meaning 0.8*50%=40% of all marriages are ended by women compared to only 0.2*50%=10% of all marriages ended by men, that is 40% of married women compared to only 10% of married men will end their marriage, that is 90% of married men will not initiate divorce but only 60% of married women will not initiate a divorce, which means that if you are a women wanting to get married you see in front of you a world where you have 90% chance that the man won't decide to divorce you but if you are a man you look at the same world and see 60% chance, almost fifty-fifty, that the woman will decide to leave you (and women with advanced degrees initiate divorces in higher rates than the overall female 40%, bringing the chance for any man dating them of receiving from them a divorce notification to practically 50:50, or higher), and now add to those prospects the consequences of divorces for men compared to the consequence for women (women mostly ask when thinking of divorce, "will I find a new love", men mostly ask "will I end up in the street, or in prison, or poor, or isolated, or committing suicide"). If one player wants all the power they can have it but they can't expect anyone to want to play such a game with them.

I'm sure women would by running into marriages if they knew that there's almost 50% chance that the man would divorce them and that then they may end up in prison, the street, poor for good or isolated from their children indefinitely.
