Good grief. Just doing a neighborhood search on convicted sex offenders is eye opening, and knowing how few actually get convicted means that each and every single man (and woman) knows a sex offender unless he spent his whole life homeschooled on a remote farm and only knows like 10 people total. It's not a reflection on one's character to have met or spent time with someone like that unwittingly - it's what you do AFTER you discover someone's bad character that reflects on your own character.

Things men don't consider to be rape/assault/intimidation but women experience as such:

1.) Forced sex in a long term relationship/marriage.

2.) Surprise anal/any other potentially painful sexual act that wasn't previously agreed upon. No it didn't just slip in.

3.) Perving on teenage girls when you're in a position of authority/much older.

4.) Discounting rape allegations because the woman isn't a 10/10 by society's standards/was drunk/had agreed to kinky sex with some past undisclosed boyfriend/boyfriends.

Also, it's hilarious that they think we're unattractive. I'm super unattractive as a size zero after two kids person who has been married for almost 16 years. There are still plenty of men who hit on me. Either men are just shooting their shot for no reason (possible), or I'm not too terrible looking. Maybe they wouldn't like my standards, but did I mention I'm married? I'm not on the market. So there's that.

These men speak as though the Sex Offender’s Registry doesn’t exist or something.

I just entered my zip code into the Registry just now. There are about 20 convicted sex offenders within a relatively easy walking distance of my house, and I live in a nice area.

Next time some dumbass man tries to claim he’s never encountered a sex offender, invite him to enter his address in the Sex Offender’s Registry and see how many mug shots show up on the map. I guarantee these criminals shop at the same grocery store as them, they may even be friends or drinking buddies.
