There’s a common notion that I read where young people move to the big cities to get a job, hang out with other people, date and ultimately marry.

It’s more or less assumed you’ll find someone since there are so many young people.

But with the rise of the dating apps, and the dating process being much more streamlined it seems that the above average male will succeed greatly in the big city, while the below average male hopes to be a “beta bucks” a decade down the road.

Is this reasoning correct and thus below-average males would have better luck in towns/ smaller cities? Or is the reasoning incorrect?
