Parents have a huge impact on what standards a person holds in a romantic partner. Parents often end up being the archetype for love and a successful relationship should be. People often look for the same traits their opposite sex parent exhibited when they search for partner.

It's a commonly expressed idea that women that have "daddy issues" or absent fathers are more promiscuous or more prone to destructive or risky behavior. "Fatherless behavior" is a common term to describe things women do that seem sleazy or uncouth.

Whether it's true or not that women without strong relation to their father are that way, the perception exists.

It would be soooo weird if a guy said "I prefer women that don't talk to their fathers."

What could his motive possibly be? He's a fuck boy obviously. He thinks he's going to have fun exploiting a woman's relationship dynamics with her father.

Now if you look at women that say they don't want mama's boys, what are they trying to do? It's the exact same thing. They know the parent loves and protects their child. They know the parent sets standards for how the child is to be treated. And they just want to take advantage without having to live up to any of the parent's standards.

Regardless of the gender, if someone prefers a partner with a weak relationship to their parent, they are most likely looking at someone to take advantage of.
