Because everyone knows looks matter for women. But men are either told it's not important or not as important and that women aren't shallow (eg we don't care about dick size or muscles, it's about the personality), they're fed this by everyone from a young age, and it shows with the continuous gaslighting. I don't know how people can deny it.

You also have women in a different camp - or alternating when convenient - joining in by telling men they are stupid if they didn't know looks matter all along and they have themselves to blame and actually say it isn't true men are lied to, they're just slow or dumb.

Men can blame their looks, they currently do it now. Especially when it comes to height since most men are under 6ft.

Honestly now since the pop the balloon shows are going viral, you literally see women turning down men for height, looks, clothes etc. Those women get dragged to the ends of the earth because men should be given a chance despite his looks.

I’m beginning to see more support for men.

I know for a fact that I validated men with small peen in this very subreddit. One of the best experiences I had was with a man with a very below average peen but he had charisma, a really nice smile, he was a gentleman. There are also women who are disadvantaged because of properties they can't change (pretty sure you didn't consider them since it doesn't looks like you are aware of their existence). Tall women struggle a lot in dating. Ugly and/or flat women too

You're comparing a real situation with a fictional one that allows you to blow it up to the extreme. Atleast compare it with a similar scenario and we'll see what the reactions are

Also I don't know what country you're from but the country where she's from they have a thing about fat people. It's a more sensitive subject and so people lead with unhinged support

Looks matter for both and weight is something men and women can control.

If you're overweight, your partner has every right to walk out of a date or not call you back, especially if you've misrepresented yourself online.

Public opinion doesn't matter on this. It really doesn't. All the "fat acceptance" in the world won't get those women any dates they wouldn't have gotten.

If anything, public opinion on the side of the overweight person is a bad thing as it affirms the negative behavior that will probably lead to premature death.

Affirmation of bad stuff is still affirmation of bad stuff.

Women affirm fatness in one another, men affirm video game/anime/porn addiction to the detriment of all other hobbies in each other.

Both are toxic.
