Feminism is about giving women the freedom to do whatever they want, to not be trapped in predetermined gender roles. Sounds good.

The issue is, men can't liberate themselves from being pursuers (which is a predetermined gender role) without women pursuing more too. This does go both ways at least somehwat, because there are apparently negative connotations about women who initiate too, so men could be more open minded. But still, I think it's clear that men being unhappy with their gender roles about dating specifically won't change if women don't change at least somehwat.

How can we advocate for the change of gender roles that are literally tied to how the other gender functions without pressuring the othe gender? Is that kind of advocacy ever "fair"?

Women sometimes say that if men were less thirsty, they would have an easier time, but is that not manipulation? If women would theoretically be more diverse in how they date under certain conditions, is that not about "men wish women had sex with unattractive men"?
