What do I mean by a singular ‘women’?

It’s grammatically incorrect, women is plural, etc

What I mean is the collective image used to describe such a generalisation and every stereotype to go with it - the instagram spamming, expensive dinner eating, alpha male attracted, mostly vapid party girl that people who use the phrasing in such a word to describe women collectively.

Here’s the thing though - within such generalisations, we’re often forgotten that people as a whole tend to fall into stereotypical trendy roles. ‘Women’ are often called out as this collective hive mind, but their male counterparts actively get a pass.

You know the types - the alpha wannabes who dress like they’re in a drake video shoot, the guys who think having a thick beard and a truck makes them country, the hustler who thinks being able to afford expensive food makes him god’s gift to earth… you name it

My point of this? When going for the singular ‘women’ as an attempt at criticism, at least have the self awareness that both genders are very much capable of, and very much do fall into stereotypical patterns. There are also tons of people who don’t, and frankly, they’re everywhere if you bothered to pause and look around
