haha. jesus, i love how this list lists things that women just get pissed off about. it has nothing to do with men, it's more so a list nuisances women have to put up with. I hate that we (women, yes i'm a woman) have to ashamed or bitchy about our bodies. Yes, we give birth and have boobs that will peek through at a water park. There are a million different colored shirts we can wear, why white?

Also: it's not illegal for a woman to be president, women don't HAVE to change their last names after marriage, and most importantly, we're not FORCED TO EAT CHOCOLATE. YOU CHOOSE TO EAT CHOCOLATE. God damn.

As a woman, I have lots of issues with women who bitch all day long about their womanhood. As if we can't control 99% of things we complain about. It's a shame that many people transfer their personal issues on the opposite sex.

So all of my suicidal thoughts, cutting, and drug abuse was just for kicks?

Back in elementary school I'd just break down crying for no clear reason. The reason was I couldn't get recurring thoughts of killing myself out of my head. Being 10 and watching yourself put a bullet in your own head will fuck with you. When my dad saw this he'd just scream at me, causing me to keep the suicidal thoughts to myself.

Fast forward to college and my anxiety around people and inability to express turned so far inward I started shooting heroin.

I've stopped since then, am on meds for the psych issues, and try to talk to a therapist as much as I can (Reddit always makes me feel better than therapy, though).

If it wasn't for people like OPs cousin who say men don't get depressed then maybe more men like myself can get better help before bad things happen.

1) Men are always told that "it's her day", so leave it up to her

2) Many men actually don't care about bonbonniere or what the placesettings are going to be. Many do.

I've never been lied to by mechanics, and knowing the basics about your vehicle is going to get you a lot more cred with them than having a dick and balls between your legs would.

Christ, I took my car for new tyres to a place not that long ago, and their paperwork asks for the Make, Model, Year, Registration and I think it was the Odometer reading. I filled in all of that except the Odometer (though I was able to give a rough estimate). The bloke was surprised I got so much of it because apparently most people don't even know a lot of it.

My garage is a collection of paint cans, various yardwork implements and a motorcycle. It serves no other purpose then storage.

I don't know about the rest of you, but my wedding plans consist of inviting people I actually give a shit about and having a dinner after me and my now-wife visit a judge. I could plan this in about 45 minutes.

I did some googling and women do have higher rates of depression as can be seen here and here. However, men tend to underreport depression, so the gap might be smaller (I downloaded the article through the university computer - sorry that you guys can't access it).

And let's not forget suicide rates, where certain regions have 6 men killing themselves for every 1 woman (like in the Balcans for example). There are rare cases where female suicide exceed male suicide like in China.

I'm not married, but witnessed my girlfriend's brother-in-law have his ideas shot down for a number of months leading up to the wedding, then her family would complain about him never helping with the plans. I've talked to my girlfriend about how that bothered me... we've worked it out (note: she was actually defending him, I picked the winner of the family)

EDIT: I have to add more about the house being hers. The thing is, the garage is the only place that she doesn't have full control over (and even then she tries). My whole god damn house is full of her shit. It doesn't bother me to the point of "depression" but seriously guys, I have FUCKING FLOWERS ON MY BEDSPREAD! On top of that there is a drawing of a naked guy above my bed. And don't get me started on the curtains that change once a month and never match anything! I had to throw out most of my furniture when we moved in together so she could buy brand new stuff that was to her taste. Years ago when I was still at school all the guys were taken aside and were told about prostate cancer. The counsellor who was giving the presentation show that stats that prostate cancer in men is just as common breast cancer in women (in Australia), but you don't hear about it because guys don't like to share their problems/emotions. I guess it's the same story here, men who are depressed simply don't discuss it with anyone.
