Any progressive subreddit (which is most of this site) is blue pill / anti-red pill

Braincels is ideologically pure left, practically apolitical. Trump supporters sprinkled here and there but not many.

In the wider world, the blue pill is just anyone who isn't red pilled. So it encompasses pretty much all political views by default.

But for the implied audience of here on reddit, there is enough overlap between political stances that we can generalize. A lot of red pill viewpoints encapsulate a lot of conservative beliefs (traditional gender relationships, traditional masculinity, anti feminism, etc.). The blue pillers here are anti red pill, and as a result generally align more with liberal beliefs (feminist ideas if not feminism itself, not aligning with traditional frameworks, etc).

It's not a total overlap though. Most people here are pro abortion, regardless of pill. And a there are a good number of red pillers who do not want to return to traditional style relationships.

I think people who align with oversimplified blue pill or redpill ideology are drawn to very oversimplified political ideology as well. People who personally identify with politics are also the same kinds of people who proudly say that they're Red pilled and make all aspects of their life perfectly align with retarded worldview they have.

Generally yes.

Liberals tend to be concerned with how things should be. This can also be an idealized view. There is also a concern to address all people, even minorities, so long as they are considered orthodox to their cause (concern for their outliers).
Conservatives tend to be concerned with how things are. This can also be a pragmatic view. There is also a concern for people at large to conform to their cause (not concerned with outliers).

The idea that RP = conservative and BP = liberal, although they're heavily conflated, this can't be correct.

RP is more or less a male description of typical female STR preferences that is often conflated to "how women actually are."

BP is more or less a male perception of female sexual preferences, when instead it represents a naive\incomplete version of female sexuality that represents female LTR preferences conflated to be "all female sexual preferences."

I can go a lot deeper with this, but yes, there's correlation, this is because naivety and liberalism tend to go hand in hand. Because we all start out with the idea of "this is how it should be" or "wouldn't it be nice" but over the years you just understand "this is how it is."

So while liberals are trying to reinvent how men and women should interact, conservatives say "this is just how it is." One considers themselves "progressive" the other "traditional."

I've learned in my years that things often have a way of being done for a reason. Having gone through a lot of personal growth when I was liberal, rarely did I find the "progressive" things I did help me ultimately and almost always I began to sympathise with the people in my life who told me "how it is."

So for me personally, being liberal and being naive where basically the same thing. I can understand why people promote liberal ideas and why they go through that phase. I think most people want to be good and want others to benefit from the good part of humanity.

You just seem to learn over time that you can't worry about every Tom Dick and Harry and you just hope over time "they get it." That's also why a conservative way to address liberals is to say "don't worry, you'll understand."

Because we know you won't listen, because neither did we. Eventually we learned, and then we became the old crusty parents. Now our kids are telling us that they don't know whether or not they should like boys or girls and we're the "old racists" for saying "you'd know if you're gay, you're not."

From their perspective, they're just being progressive, from ours, they're just young and stupid. No joke the other day my younger brother told me two of his friends "weren't sure if they were into men, and found out they weren't." He bragged about being "non-masculine" and had his wife back him up.

I didn't think much of it, but my other half brought it up a lot. She was viscerally disgusted by his behavior. It was one of those times where I realized it really is as bad out there is TRP claims. There's a lot of guys that are really, really lost. But again, that's just from my crusty old perspective where I knew I didn't need to suck a dick, just because I knew, and it was safe to assume with 98% certainty that I wasn't gay and if I was the 2% I'd figure it out without this being a socio political group spectacle.

Yes there is. The BP worldview is rooted in "equality" and fairness. The RP worldview is rooted in acknowledgement of biological differences and why they make treating people equally retarded. This goes way past gender relations, if you think the groups of BPers and RPers will have the same percentages of socialist and capitalist supporters you're very wrong.

The gap is made wider due to BPers pulling their nonsensical worldview from education, media propaganda and RPers rejecting that by definition. This means your average BPer is more likely to be an NPC herd follower and your average RPer being more likely to be a contrarian troll.

One last thing that I just thought of. Weightlifting and higher test levels are correlated with conservative views

I think that "Red Pill" correlates not necessarily with being 'on the right' per se, but rather being more willing than average to explore unpopular or controversial political ideas. It just so happens that, in today's political environment, everything which isn't accepted by the Democratic Party's biggest power blocs is considered 'controversial' which means those who are more willing to consider non-mainstream ideas are going to be considering libertarianism/classical liberalism, conservatism, neoreaction, fascism and ethnostatism.

If various ideologies on the left were considered beyond the bounds of mainstream discussion/forbidden knowledge suppressed by the establishment/etc, I'd think many Red Pillers would be more interested in them.

As for me, I'm a purple libertarian/classical liberal, so I'm not sure if I align with any stereotype.

No, there is not a necessary correlation between politics and pills, though some common patterns of association can emerge. The RP is simply concerned with gender realities. It is not ideological, even though people with right-wing views might be overrepresented in this space. The question is why are they overrepresented? It may just be because there is nothing in right-wing thought that prohibits them from agreeing with the ethos of the RP, whereas certain elements on the left are wary of entertaining thoughts about the biological differences between men and women, because they fear it may threaten their vision and goal of equality, this is especially true of feminists.

Personally, I think that more dispassionate, reason-based, knowledge and less preconceived wishful thinking will aid any goal for fair and genuine equality, as well as make errors less likely. One should always be prepared to question their assumptions, particularly in the light of new relevant information. We are nowhere near to having all the answers at this stage in history nor are we likely to ever reach that point.

I don't fit into the stereotype. I identify with the RP, not to be confused with TRP, but I am left-wing.

To be more precise. Blue pill is related to statism/liberalism and red pill libertarianism.

Red pill gets people from these areas because of its main core idea. To compete in a open market for a resource by offering the best offer (aka pure capitalism). They have no use for the control of social norms of the conservatives. If anything. They do not like the "tradcons" because they would be forced too.

The blue pill gets more statists and liberals (as in democrats) because they their idea of oppression and social injustice inherently to the social interaction. Which should be done by the state. And the idea of control of morals/behaviors in the benefit of the needy.

My slip from the left to right actually correlated pretty closely with my slip from BP to RP over the years.

Although I always had some more libertarian views, I think the mindset I slowly adopted of not GAF and now holding my self interests over the interests of others is related, you have to admit those are not the driving mindset of liberals.

the sexual/relationships RP that we talk about here isn't the only redpill, it's just a gateway redpill to a lot of much less politically correct ideas. guys come find the RP because they want to get laid, but once they start understanding that certain groups are actively supressing some very basic truths about sex, they start to wondering if there are other socially forbidden wrongthink ideas that are actually true.

I think the main correlation is the TRP idea of stepping up, putting things in your hands, working hard and taking responsibility are all conservative philosophy while left wing hippies are all about blaming the government for not doing enough to make their life amazing.

The idea of Alpha and Beta are innerently anti egalitarian. So if you subscribe to the anti egalitarian view on gender but have an egalitarian view of how goods should be distributed your basically an idiot. Idiots have contradictory beliefs all the time.

The exception here is if your a racial minority and your voting as a tribe. So if your pragmatically voting for welfare distribution from Whites to blacks as a black man and also believe that "bitches ain't shit but hoes and tricks" that's perfectly coherent.

Red pillers due tend to be more right leaning. It's become sort of immediately associated with them. The idea of such to me doesn't apply to any one political side or group. It became associated with it as a buzzword. I don't subscribe to all ideas or notions, but I totally get the idea of it and the idea of seeing why things are the way they are, who's pulling the strings, the influence of certain things etc.

One time, when I was on okcupid, there was this girl I was just talking with. I wasn't even trying to get with her, the idea of the red pill came up in discussion. She was like super left wing and this was about a year after Trump was elected, so you know she was the type where even trying to just talk with her and everything was going to be this knee jerk reaction. She was the type of person who thought that adds for the show the man in the high castle should be banned cause of the use of swastikas in the advertising. Criticisms of such things aren't what bothers me, what bothers me and I think many others is this sense of control they try to enforce and making it very personal if one says otherwise. This is their logic, that complaining about a show about an alternate history somehow means they win or they're showing them etc.

Blue pill doesn't need to even be a left winger. This is where the terminology gets twisted but yet the idea is still applicable. It's someone who refuses to think outside the comfort zone/beyond their own 2 feet for more than 2 seconds, and while everyone makes mistakes and no one is perfect, they will proudly stick with whatever ignorances they have and find problems where there are none.

I don't know. I frequently see red pill ideology lumped in with white nationalism (among other extreme belief systems) and that is troubling, but on the other hand there seem to be quite a few men of color who adhere to it. Because it pertains largely to interpersonal relationships, it has the potential to stand on its own.

Both my husband and I tend to be socially liberal but fiscally conservative, and our relationship follows much of the typical red pill metric. That said, I wouldn't assume that another woman wants or needs what I do.

In terms of political ideology I tend to lean liberal/progressive. When I first came to this forum (different account) I started out BP, moved to Purple, then moved to no pill once I decided that my views on sex and dating don't quite align with any of the pills. Now I simply label myself "tradpill" because most of my stances are determined by my religious/tradcon beliefs.

I think you would generally expect someone with those beliefs to lean conservative in terms of politics, but I don't. In my two years voting I have only voted blue.

I'm leftish. I vote wherever the animal and environmental policy's are sense those are my biggest passions. I believe in providing foren aid and asylum but not mass immergration. So centrist on a lot of issues.

Edit: damn phone. I ment to add that I think those in this sub where we pick and choose and test our views are likely more centrist then those on the hard blue and red camps.

But I do see more left blues and right reds.

First, I’m not sure there’s as big a correlation as many think there is between political identity and demonstrated romantic and sexual attitudes. There are left wingers who are very dogmatic and demanding of their partners in their relationships (not the ‘free to be you and me’ that you’d might expect). There are conservatives who actually practice rather egalitarian relationships (put that monogamy on a pedestal :) ). There are a surprising number of gay conservatives. There are tradcon pastors who whore it up and you hear about it in the news. There are feminist women, blue as can be, who really like to be spanked. If you had to generalize, sure RP skews more conservative and BP skews more liberal. There are plenty of libertarians on this sub, including unicorn female libertarians, ha. As a libertarian, I like the PP’s mixture of realism and idealism. Too much ‘all people are like that’ will make you miserable, just like too much naïveté leaves you vulnerable.

I think blue tends to be more progressive and red more conservative, but given that Hillary is now what republicans used to be like 30 years ago and Trump is a white supremacist the goal posts have been moved enough in the country that people who might have been republicans if it was 20-40 years ago are now basically democrats with or without the neoliberalism part.

It's possible to predict if someone votes democrat or republican by measuring the size of their amygdala and their prefrontal cortex.

Conservatives tend to have a bigger amygdala, which is responsible for detecting threats, stereotyping, fear and aggressive behavior.

Not in theory but It's definitely the case that there is a political element to it. Red Pill lends towards individualism, which lends towards libertarianism, and people who cluster to the right of the political compass tend to believe in and uphold these values.

Blue Pill tends to attract people partial to collectivism, which lends towards authoritarianism. Collectivists and authoritarians tend to cluster to the left.

So you do end up having a political divide. The only RPer I can think of that is an out and out leftist is /u/reluctantly_red. But he's from Commiefornia iirc so that's understandable.
