When I say male feminists I'm not referring to a generic type of feminist who submits to it because he just aligns himself with a broad notion of liberal/progressive views, I'm specifically referring to those who actively advocate for feminism and are vocal about it. All the prominent male feminists I can think of are straight while gay men are either silent or not really politically active on this issue. The only one I can name off the top of my head is Nick Denton (assuming he was really into it and not just exploiting it for personal profit) but then I can name a few gay anti-feminists (or just critical of feminism) like Dave Rubin or Milo. I tend to believe that male feminists are more or less unconsciously expecting a reward in terms of sex for their 'nice behavior' and for their political support. Or they simply believe it's a viable sexual strategy to score some poon. It's almost like when you remove women from your sexual/romantic life, you don't need to parade your feminism around like straight liberal/progressive males do.
P.S I'm not including trans in the gay category.
