I find it hilarious how guys are somehow threatend by leg hair
[–]seraphinelysionFDS Apprentice203 points204 points205 points 5 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link
It really baffles me when they complain about leg hair when men are hairy as fuck. Like what about hair scares them?! They have it too!

They’re not afraid of it, they’re:
1.) deluded into thinking they’re entitled to speak on how women groom themselves, thinking we should do so according to their [often pedophilic] whim, and stemming from that
2.) intimidated by the women who don’t give a flying fuck what men think about their bodies so they lash out at us and try to ironically threaten us by saying men won’t find it attractive. 🤷🏻♀️

don’t forget homophobia

ironically threaten us by saying men won’t find it attractive
I honestly don't think they do this ironically. They just really want to put us in our place.
I love when men try to pull this shit because whenever you respond with something like, "have you ever considered that I have no intention of fucking you, and don't want to attract you," they always give you the shocked Pikachu face 😂
I even make a point to do this whenever the comment isn't about me. "Sorry Brian, but I don't think Beyoncé gives a flying fuck if she makes your weenie soft."
[–]NerfboardFDS Newbie8 points9 points10 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Oh no they don’t have any sense of irony lol, I just meant that it’s ironic because they think it’s a punishment when we still don’t care/find it rewarding to have scrotes weed themselves out for us.

Leg hair on women is uNhYgIeNiC. Don't ask them to define "hygiene", though. And don't you dare ask them why male leg hair isn't also unhygienic.
[–]Amy3e13FDS Newbie8 points9 points10 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
The men who say that leg hair on women is unHigEniC are the same men who walk around with skid marks on their underwear.

Both of them have leg hair in the picture. Why are men only offended by hers? Hypocrisy much? 🤔
[–]AuroraAustralxsFDS Newbie131 points132 points133 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I like how leg hair, which is 100% natural is scary, but dookie stains are fine. The bar... it’s below sea level at this point.

I know I’m going to go off on a tangent here, so I’m just putting this warning here upfront.
It it CRAZY to me how heterosexual women in so many ways actually have it worse than lesbians. I am of course saying this from a place of absolute privilege, because I’m lucky to live in a place where homophobia isn’t so prevalent (though the lesbian dating pool is a tiny, close-knit nightmare).
I cannot imagine dating somebody who is creeped out my leg hair, periods, whatever. As terrible as lesbian dating is, the one thing you can count on is that other women absolutely do not care - even though by definition they’re also only attracted to women. Ever. I’ve never met a woman who’s cared about my lazy leg shaving schedule or been creeped out by my periods.
It feels like another world. my heart goes out to you girls, because maybe 1/100 of the straight/bi men i know treat women properly.
Men honestly act like another species. Living with so few men in my life exposes most of those I’ve met as just embarrassing.

Just to “holes” apparently. I think if 50% of men had vaginas instead of penises, they’d date themselves and we’d be free of them. They think they’re attracted to feminine qualities but then ridicule us for all of them, so what do they really want besides a vagina to masturbate into?
[–]glacieszFDS Newbie114 points115 points116 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
straight men have fucked animals and hot pockets. anything goes.
[–]pickadaisyFDS Apprentice40 points41 points42 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yeah, this is 100%.
[–]EquipoisonousFDS Newbie101 points102 points103 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
It’s so crazy that men are always wanting a woman who likes stereotypical masculine things like sports and beer and cars. Women aren’t typically expecting or wanting to find men who are into stereotypically feminine things. If they want to date someone who shares their male interests, date men.

Lmao, im a mechanic who specialises in performance engines... (not currently my career, its more of a for fun thing now)
Dudes run for the hills when they work out what I can do, when its not your "typical female" stuff like changing a flat tyre, it's like their masculinity is threatened so they want nothing to do with whatever im doing. "Oh you know cars? I bet its basic, let me teach you" - oh no, let me teach you...
I mean, its a fun challenge- "ill race you to put this (engine part) in"

Love this, their poor egos! I’m nowhere near a car person but when I had a car I did my own oil changes because if it was something I could do then I’d do it, esp to keep anyone from touching my car.

Nah, they're attracted to dominating members of the subordinate sex class. Sticking it in a man (an equal) just wouldn't be the same as dominating a woman.
[–]pinkcloudzzzFDS Newbie140 points141 points142 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
They’re not, at least not to real women. More and more are masturbating to cartoon women (lol anime). It’s pathetic

It's no better in live action porn. So much plastic surgery. They make everyone look like the same woman.

Male sexuality is defined by dominance and control. There isn’t anything more to it than that because they aren’t exactly complex or intricate creatures to try and figure out. That’s why a male will gleefully attempt to fuck a pie, goats, pigs, stuffed animals, a cantaloupe, etc.
[–]pickadaisyFDS Apprentice5 points6 points7 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
What do you think they mean by attraction?
[–]getrippeddiemirinFDS Newbie9 points10 points11 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Someone exploitable for resources and/or labour. Someone they want to possess. Something that is pretty and will be seen as the perfect accessory for the vision of themselves said males want to show other XYs. A trophy to be won or otherwise taken

Found this post just so I could see what kind of ridiculous comments were left and it’s hilarious how threatened men are by a cartoon man having more empathy than they do.

Any man that is grossed out by body hair, periods, child birth or any of life’s natural occurrences is a low value, immature piece of shit!

This just reminded me of my first pyjamas party at my friend's place. There were only three other girls, we were all in our early twenties and it was too warm to wear actual pyjamas so we were all in shorts.
I was embarrassed because I hadn't shaved in a few weeks, my leg hair would be noticeable. I remember actually apologising, and expected some comments like "you're letting yourself go" or "you're being lazy".
Nah, girls couldn't care less. One of them actually laughed and said "don't be silly, do you want to see my armpit hair?" and I just instantly relaxed.
It's weird that men find body hair repulsive, but only in a woman's body, even though they're supposed to find it attractive as it's part of our species.
[–]Davina33FDS Disciple47 points48 points49 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yep, the obsession of expecting us to look prepubescent is far more worrying to me. Especially if you're the same height and build as a 12 year old girl, like me 😡
[–]Aik2FDS Newbie11 points12 points13 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
LMAO the armpit thing must be universal. The exact same convo happened with me when I was a teenager!

I saw men on reddit using the YoU wAnT uS tO lOoK pRePuBeScEnT argument when women said they prefer clean shaven men. Like seriously, you're using our argument against having to remove all body hair below our eyelashes for your pleasure so you can excuse yourself from grooming your face?

I’ve gone on dates in short dresses after having not shaved for months...men usually don’t actually care. They still find me attractive.
The way men act online about leg hair made me so anxious about going out in public in skirts/shorts without shaving, I honestly thought I’d get accosted by the leg beard inquisition and verbally degraded in public...so far that hasn’t happened lol

Never mind leg hair, I was ignorant of the whole crotch-waxing-goes-mainstream thing until it became officially passé. I had kids in the interim so I wasn't even aware until I saw that bit in Wolf of Wall Street about "no hair below the eyebrows."
When I modeled in NY to pay for school, the H'wood wax totally-bare thing was the mark of escorts, extinct Snap-on Tool models and strippers. I know it's hypocritical but fashion models often nervously differentiated themselves from sex workers to the degree that men like to lump all together (because selling with sex is selling with sex) and this can be dangerous. And that line in the sand between high-brow and low was partly drawn with pubic hair.
Now the full crotch wax has become a provincial norm along with infected follicles, invasive skin candidiasis and higher risk of STDs.
[–]chasingastarl1ghtFDS Apprentice12 points13 points14 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I feel genuinely so weird when I'm all shaved off. Like... A naked mole?? Blah.
I don't get it, it's painful, it's itchy and the skin gets damaged. Plus, you can't convince me that skin in the area doesn't get desensitized after going thru the pain of waxing it.
[–]Emergency-Feed8216FDS Apprentice7 points8 points9 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
My gyn in 2000 said she couldn't understand even partial waxing/shaving because of the skin eruptions that, even to her as a professional, often looked like herpes. She thought this must scutter people's perceptions of herpes outbreaks to the point everyone was failing to protect themselves thinking that infectious lesions must be harmless ingrown hairs. She said "Quit plucking and just make the swimsuits bigger!"

I was watching Selling Sunset the other day and one girl (the playboy model one, I forget her name) said her pubic hair grows in a bush and guys love it and think it’s sexy.
So maybe that trend is coming back

So true lmao. Although, to be fair, if a male shows way too much adoration for your natural legs, run. There’s pornsick body hair fetishists, too.
[–]souredskittlesFDS Apprentice39 points40 points41 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I remember I watched this documentary where a couple had a sex doll making business where they casted bodies from plastic resin. The lady was so disgusted a man asked for a sex doll covered in hair, she said she just sold him patches of hair they sell on the side.

Or even guys who will encourage you to do things they think make you ugly so they can remain “in possession” of you.

I had one of those too. Possessivness disguised as 'caring and accepting'. Very tricky.

[–]weekend111FDS Newbie18 points19 points20 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I usually wax my legs and I’ve taken to like them hairless. Probably a patriarchal standard, but unfortunately, we don’t unlearn all our patriarchal conditioning in a day. However, if my legs get hairy and my boyfriend complains he’s gonna get his waxed next to mine the next day.
[–]Equal-Ear2312FDS Apprentice2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I think some men feel threatened by leg hair because they are so uncomfortable with their own masculinity that seeing hair on a woman automatically makes them doubt themselves.
