Banging on the door is already physical violence, it won’t “escalate” to physical violence because it’s already there. Whenever a man uses his physical body to intimidate you, that’s physical abuse. Smashing objects, walls, doors, blocking your way, grabbing, these are physical violence just like punches

This made me sick... A narc demon ex did this all the time and eventually threw a brick through my glass door. He also told me to die. It always escalates and I’m glad I escaped. I don’t want to think about what would happen if I stayed a moment longer. I hope this woman is ok.

scary. the banging on the door, the yelling, the expletives. yelling that he's pissed off and that he wants her to shut the f about *this*... yelling some more... the tone and volume alone are enough to make this a disturbance for the neighbours.

that's the rage that escalates to physical violence. if you listen closely, that's ego talking: all about me-me-me and how you-you-you are something-something. when he doesn't get their wishes met or they are called out on their behavior or their bad behavior is met with a direct consequence - her locking herself in the room, he falls into a narcissistic rage (called the monkey dance) meant to intimidate the other person into compliance. this man is a ticking time bomb. her not complying with whatever he demands adds a narcissistic injury to his planet-sized ego. if he has a gun in the house, this man is going to get it and make use of it. there is no opening the door to this kind of rage-assault. he's going to lash out at her. jesus!

So he is saying sarcastically that he is the worst person in the world for telling a lie. And then he says he is tired of talking about it and it pissed him off. And then trying to act like since he is pissed off, he doesn’t have control and he can act out because she caused him to be pissed off and escalating it by creating a boundary from him (locking door). Blaming the woman for his uncontrollable temper and rage js a classic domestic violence move.

Thanks for posting. I needed to see this. My Ex fiancé did this. Would come home drunk, fight with me, and when I went to a spare room and locked it to get away he would bang on the door and threaten to break it down. I finally eventually left him, covered in bruises. He’s not even the worst one, I had one before him that actually broke my ribs. Men are trash
