The primary tenet in stoicism is to hold little to no emotion over things that happen, and merely accept them as part of nature, and to consider that they may not happen any other way.

If someone is going to: -Cheat -Reject you -Insult you -Play games with you

Accepting that they will, and then scorning the act and moving on is the only way to navigate without causing emotional scarring.

Far too many hold tight to the need to “win” (partners, arguments, frivolous competitions against other men) and when they “lose” it stems behaviour that sends many down the MGTOW, Incel, or extreme Red Pill path. These behaviours include: lashing out, languishing, disenfranchisement, or simply becoming depressed because the world is not just and rational.

Further, a lack of emotional response (or the maintenance of very tepid responses) signals strength to a potential partner, and positions one as not being outcome dependent.

So the internal and external benefits of stoicism line up very closely with the needs of men in the modern world just as they did for the ancients.
