I guess it can be expected that at the same time this sub gets blasted for being a haven for angry incels and misogynists due to lack of moderation, that I can also be accused of being a woman in the sub I've been keeping above water for more than six years.

DISCLAIMER. This sub is much, much, much better than most subs.

Reddit moderators tend towards personal soap boxes. Given enough time, moderators feel they OWN the sub. Literally. And that shouldn't happen. Moderation should be a spam and troll filter and not much else. I'm very hopeful Reddit throws ChatGPT into the mix and reboots moderation completely. I think ChatGPT will be much more reasonable.

I've had medical facts rejected by moderators before in other subs. I went back and reinforced those facts with multiple peer reviewed articles from PubMed. PubMed is hosted by the US National Library of Medicine and under the umbrella of the National Institutes of Health. This is THE anthology for medical research. Moderators being moderators, this guys ego won over a few million researchers.

Most mods feel it's their solemn duty to provide a "proper lens" for the sullied to read through. r/divorce is certainly this way. r/divorce_men is the harbor. Hopefully free thought continues to be appreciated here.

I got this Message 11 days ago for a comment I made in this sub. I still don’t know what I allegedly did wrong, and now I have no way of knowing, since they deleted it…

It would be helpful to know wouldn’t it? You know, so I could understand and agree and maybe avoid it in future. Or disagree and continue. But continuing because of enforced ignorance of the alleged crime or misdemeanour would just demonstrate a stupid system.

Well I have been warned by mods for some supposed misogynistic comments that aren’t mysoginistic at all but are just generalizations. Yet misandry runs rampant and is celebrated all over Reddit and social media. But I understand what the mods are up against. Spez is all powerful, so we should be lucky a sub like this is allowed to exist where we feel welcome in Spez land at all. The mods have to somewhat appease the Spez overlords else risk gynopurgatory. So thank you mods for playing the game.

I can't comment on r/singledads anymore for something I said to a woman on there. Can't remember what it was but it seems quite menial at the time. I have definitely never thought of checking out any women-centric divorce threads because it doesn't apply to me and I'm not interested in being a troll.

Being a men's sub Reddit and dealing with a lot of men going through Hell, sometimes we act like NFL coaches and light them up, not to hurt them but to wake them up from there groomed slumber and get them moving forward, we only have a post, so we put our advice out there boldly. Not all advice is good, but i learned a ton here actually.

Some mod on this sub looked at one of my posts recently and commented I was being a troll for responding to a nasty comment from a female lurker saying I got what I deserved and my ex was better off. Why is this sub not private at this point? Why are lurkers from female subs allowed to come in and troll and harass us?

I came here when /rdivorce immediately blamed me for everything because something something man something homewrecker. I mean I got hell for just referring to my child as "my son" - like I was hinting at being possessive or toxic.

Other than the random MGTOW and JOIN A GYM comments, I've read nothing but support. Posters who are obviously at fault (aka those that want to leave behind their children or take no stock in their own issues) are usually called out.

I got banned from another sub and given a warning from a Reddit admin (not a mod) for hate speech and I can’t figure out what that hate speech was. I am a very liberal person who despises hateful abuse of any minority so I have no idea what Reddit is talking about. They said an AI flagged me and an admin confirmed it. It’s crazy.

The best way to make sure someone doesn’t do something against the rules would be to tell them exactly they did wrong instead of leaving us to guess.

My use for Reddit slowed down by about 75%. I got kicked out of a forum for telling a woman that asked men “why do men not want marriage anymore “. I told her the truth. We worry about paying out for alimony and child support for the rest of our lives with a 70-80% chance of divorce happening anyway initiated by the woman. Reddit said I was insulting and harassing people 🙄. What?🤔. Then here in this forum I’ve noticed women that joined and asked men questions about dealing with paying Alimony and the men on here was like “get out of here, this is for men to talk about men problems.” She kept going back and forth and Reddit didn’t stop her, but eventually told me that I was causing offenses. After that I may reply to a post once or twice a month. I believe this is being controlled by a feminist helping to push the agenda to make men weak. This is really ridiculous fellas.

Edit to add - the jannies aren't even Reddit employees, they're doing this 100% for free. That will tell you what kind of people they are, desperate to feel some power.
