I really don’t understand this. Even my narc ex who was as misogynistic as any man I’d ever met, insisted on paying for everything. Also, every lvm I’ve ever dated insisted on paying.

I honestly think a lot of guys are against paying for dates in theory but as soon as they’re face to face with an attractive woman it all goes out the window and they can’t help but open their wallets. So they have to rationalize it as “she manipulated me”.

Where I live going Dutch is supposed to be the norm yet I’ve only gone Dutch once (when we were both teenagers). The cheapest man I’ve ever known (the “eats dinner at home before going out to dinner so he doesn’t spend as much money” level of stinginess) still paid for my meal while I was in the ladies.
