In the wake of the Texas abortion ban, I say women need to fight it with malicious compliance. If life begins at six weeks, so should child support. So should life insurance for the fetus. If the mother doesn't have insurance and doesn't qualify for Medicaid, CHIP should pay for all her maternity bills, as they are now checkups for her child. If life begins at 6 weeks, then she should be able to claim the fetus on her tax returns.

I'm sure there are hundreds of other details that would apply here, but you get the point. Should Abbott refuse to raise the minimum wage, refuse to implement free childcare, refuse to fix the broke-ass Texas education system, or try to cut the WIC/SNAP/TANF budget, women should protest outside his house with signs that say things like "All lives matter" and "Baby killer." Flip the script and piss the right off.

Edit: LADIES!!!! If you get pregnant under the abortion ban, put Gov. Greg Abbott down as the baby daddy. Fuck it. He wants all these kids, make him responsible for them.

Texas government genuinely sees pregnancy as a punishment for loose women, they do not care about prenatal care, parental leave, our shockingly high childbirth death rates, and certainly have zero care for kids once they’re born. It’s just a source of easy moral outrage for them.

Forcing women to give birth is just the type of solution that gets a politician fast results and shows their public they do a job so they get their career developed faster.

And since most of them are conservative men they did not raise their children, so they dont have the in depth view mothers have about the wide spectrum of problems that need fixing. All they know is to punish and prohibit.

None of those politicians are really pro-life, they’re just securing the vote/support of the religious right. If a woman in their life they care about has an unwanted pregnancy, they’ll just drive her to another state to get it done.

Mandatory vasectomies at age 16 and requiring a wife's consent to undo said vasectomy would effectively end almost all abortion cases. Problem solved.

I’d like to add another point I read in one of these posts... all these anti-abortion hypocrites will screech that life begins at conception (but obviously only in a woman’s body). If it’s in a lab via in-vitro fertilization suddenly it’s crickets from them. Funny how that works. 😑😒
