That was me 🤡🤡🤡 laying in hospital, flooded with oxytocin, looking at this beautiful baby and where was his dad ? Hitting up old flames on FB, watching porn, taking drugs and at least trying to get an "escort" (don't know or really care if he succeeded. ). There was another trending post earlier that was full of, like FULL of, people talking about prostitutes and "professional cuddlers" and stuff like where these men pay for a woman to talk to them and make them feel better and whatever, and like, it's actually insane isn't it? There were some unironically saying that's why some men go to strippers. Right... It just blew me away.
They're pissing their money away paying someone to "act" like their therapist without it being fucking real therapy. How do they not get it. Who is that helping???? I don't care about hearing men who have the money and resources to get real help whine that women "get attention and help naturally" when we fucking don't - we collaborate and work together and encourage each other. We put the effort in to find, create, and share resources that help us. We make spaces like this to help each other and get attacked from every angle and slandered and maligned for it >:/ They need to wake up and see things for how they really are.
When people complain that there aren't a lot of resources out there for men it's frustrating because there haven't been a lot of resources for women either until *we* made them.
They don't have to go to a therapist as their only option - of course it's expensive and not currently feasible for a lot of people ("people" including women, as much as they seem to forget that we're also up against the same struggles) - but then they still don't even want to put the effort in to do the introspection that's necessary in order to start helping themselves.
Paying or not, so many men get the women around them to do all the work for them.
Women spend immeasurable time talking to them, listening to them, researching and doing everything they can to be of some help. They take them to therapy or counseling, they buy them books, they send them articles and PDFs, they set up reminders and schedules and progress goals. They essentially hold their hand and painstakingly walk them to the finish line…
…and then the men they're helping can't even be bothered to step over it once they let go.
It's getting old.
Stop complaining that "nobody takes men's mental health seriously" if you're literally talking amongst each other about just paying random women to be your emotion + cum sponges and how that's sooo r/ sadcringe (tiny violin for the body buyers 😔) instead of, idk, fucking trying to confront your psychological issues and doing the work to heal and grow and improve. lol 😑

The redditor was saying how this was awful especially considering how that man was married (to a friend of the redditor) and has kids. I’d imagine that most sex workers are sick of their job, and the last thing they want is to log onto some shitty forum to talk more about it in their free time with other women or johns. I think compartmentalisation is probably what helps them to put up with it, i.e., not thinking about that part of their life at all when they’re off work. The ones online are the few privileged ones, where they don’t have to depend on it, have some choice in what they do and think it’s the same for a trafficked teenager.

I couldn't believe how many men I've met who refuse therapy. All my girlfriends and female relatives happily went to therapy and leveled up, even when it was hard.

There's a scene like that from the movie Lilya 4 Ever, which is based on the real life of teen trafficking victim Danguolė Rasalaitė from Lithuania. After being abandoned at 14 by her pick-me mom, she was trafficked to Sweden. After escaping from a group of men who had raped her after promising to "help" her, she jumped from a bridge and died at age 16.
When she was first taken to Sweden, one of the "johns" said he was lonely and just wanted someone to hold his hand. They're sitting quietly together and Lilya looks almost relieved as he wallows in whatever's wrong with him- it was clear the director wanted the viewers to feel a little "sorry" for the pathetic sad-sack john, "oh, he's really just lonely, pOoR gUy, he won't hurt her" and then immediately shock them with the truth, as he is shown brutally r.aping her seconds later in the next scene. He was just another monster.
It's been years since I've seen this movie and I won't ever forget it or the monsters who exploited Danguolė Rasalaitė and thousands like her around the world.

The movie made it look like Lilya (the character) was abandoned, but maybe her mom thought she could go first to America with that guy (who seemed like a jerk) and make some money to survive and then convince him to help send for Lilya later. It’s clear her mom was very desperate. In the movie, we don’t know why the mom disappears from contact. She very well could have been trafficked by her creepy boyfriend just like Lilya was by her own.
The real Danguolė‘s English wiki says she was “abandoned,” but her page in Lithuanian is much more detailed and tells a completely different story. I have no idea the veracity of it, but it says that her mother worked hard and always sent money to support her and kept in contact. It was when Danguolė lived alone for a brief while in a dorm that she was preyed on by traffickers who abducted her to Sweden. Her mom actually sent for her to join her in the U.S., but she had disappeared and her family began searching for her. Letters that she left behind after her death said she had been lied to and told she would be harvesting vegetables in Sweden. Sounds like a complicated and heartbreaking story and her mother blamed herself. So sad.

This stuff is what killed me as a camgirl (I didn't enjoy it, but it is what it is). I could write so much about the awful, shitty things men would say about their partners while putting me on a pedestal. My favorites were the ones who were like "Yeah my gf/wife is cool with this but tbh if you wanted I would leave her for you" 🙄 so I always kind of cringe at the super cool pickmeishas that loooooove how their partner supports sw!!!
They don't respect any women, even the ones they supposedly love. It made my skin crawl and it felt morally wrong to keep playing into it so I stopped. I had friends in it that were like "Oh, well he'll just go give his money to someone else so it might as well be you" but nah, fuck that. I can sleep at night knowing I'm not the reason some woman wants to die and can't figure out why she's not good enough for some NVM.

It's not rinsing when the women are being forced to do things because the men gave them money. I hate the "aha she's scamming him/taking his money" rhetoric, no she's not, she's doing something for him in exchange, he's getting what he paid for.

Johns are ultimately paying for something that doesn’t exist. They’re paying to believe that an attractive woman is into them and wants to serve them. That’s why I said they’re getting rinsed financially. If men want to pay to be deluded into thinking they’re desirable whilst still being lonely, then I won’t get upset with that. My comment wasn’t directed towards sex workers, even the ones who are actual scammers. Men shouldn’t think it’s okay to buy consent. And if they do, they deserve what’s coming to them.

Every day I live as a woman I get more depressed.
