Which is sad for many reasons and lots to unpack there, but biggest gaff for me is: of course they’re happy with basically nothing. They’re smoothbrains that don’t consider their future or life enrichment beyond enriched boil in bag instant rice and game achievement points

My walls are filled with art. Nice furniture for entertaining. Sentimental gifts. Books. Plants. Life shit.

This picture was a real throwback. I want to share that my ex lived like this: - 33 years old - basement apartment - 3 room mates - one of the bedrooms used to be a living room, so they had NO living room. Just a kitchen and a bathroom. So basically a slum. - one of the roomates had his carpet covered in soda bottles all over his bedroom floor. Like 50 bottles. He could barely open the door because of the landfill. - my ex had no bed, just a mattress on the ground - no pillowcases - bathroom was filthy so I could never use it - he had no cLoSeT so he just shoved his things into a $30 ikea wardrobe and called his room clean - he didn’t wear underwear (wtf I know)

He was a lying abusive gamer who was balding and was dating a super fit 24 year old (me) and would gaslight me at every chance he got. He was also pornsick and was unable to climax with just me alone, he had become so used to masturbation that he had to finish himself off with his hands.

There were so many lies. Now I’m not even sure that he went to the (ivy league) university he claimed to have graduated from.

I’m so glad I’m free!!!!!!!!!!!!

Same but insert a computer and tv-stand/bookshelf. But zero (0!!!) personal items on seen,empty bookshelf... He could have fitted his stuff to one moving box and put that apartmet to AirBNB in seconds. Later found out he really had no personality. 🤷‍♀️ Its true what they say ”aparment reflects the person living there”. If theres no personal items be very cautious...

I hate when they try to pass this off as "minimalistic"-styled living room. Minimalism doesn't mean bare minimum; it means to be "uncluttered", monochromatic colors and has an emphasis on making a space being clean/neat and "relaxing" (bring peace). Nothing in this picture brings peace with 1 seating option and a TV on the floor.

Minimalistic living rooms would include something like: 1, 2, 3. Note TV is usually mounted (it is less cluttered than TV stand) and if a TV stand is involved it is minimized.

At least it's clean. My ex's house was infested with every type of parasite and bug you can imagine. Flying, crawling, web weaving. Also RATS and mice. This looks like such an upgrade from the horrors I saw in that other place.
