I went on a date with a man I met organically last night. The date was very nice. He was kind and smart, and no red flags popped up as I tried vetting him. At one point, I asked him how old he was. He told me he did not think that was important to know, and divisive. I brushed it off, but thought it was strange. For context, I’m 28. Well, once I got home I looked his number up on my background checking app, and he’s 44! Im not sure what to think of the age difference, and maybe that’s why he was afraid to tell me? He looks incredibly young! I’d say closer to 32-35.

What do you find to be an appropriate age difference? Does it become just a number once you are past a certain age?
