I felt really bad for her, especially in the end when she says, how three guys did her dirty.

It sucks, doesn't it? Every time a guy flat out lies to you or disrespects you? Even if you don't sleep with them and they leave, I still can't help but take it personally, imagine how worse it'll be to have slept with them.

It makes me lose all hope of actually finding a decent man.

There’s never a good end to the story when it’s a guy a woman was introduced to a month ago/year ago/etc who at that point didn’t even ask for her number.

“Reconnecting” romantically when you’ve met once in person but have never so much as been on a date with that person is pretty sus bc unless he had an SO at the time, he would have shown interest in you & y’all would have already had started talking.

Words are words.

Having cheap sex in the back of a car while your subsistence is just words is a poor decision. This man is. A manipulative piece of crap. I am not blaming her. I AM saying you need more than words ladies.

(I always state this. I am a former pick me. I say everything deep from my chest having known)

Future faking. It’s a thing. Demand more if they say they will do more.

Life isn’t fair and it is massively stacked against women struggling to be HV. I hope this woman makes her journey because it gets easier with each step. You’ll start to see words for that they are and actions for what they mean .

My heart goes out to her. I have been the worst pick me but I somehow did not get into this situation. I can understand that this would make her feel bad.

PS: if a man doesn’t get into contact after sex, don’t bother with him. That’s answer enough.

So what would be a proper response to this situation: a guy did this to me years ago, and when we ran into each other in presence of our friends- I didn’t even look at his direction. He proceed to call me uncultured and primitive in front of everyone for not being able to stay civil and say “hi” to an ex.

A situation like this is what brought me here. It's assault. Lying to have sex... taking away your right to informed consent like that is assault.

My brief stint on OLD was enough to straight-up radicalize me. I will never let a man touch me without months of vetting withing the context of a public, committed relationship again. I don't give a shit what everyone else is doing - I deleted these apps two years ago and haven't looked back.

This literally just happened to my roommate. I have an HVM friend with a roommate who is also on the apps - this has consistently happened to her. Even he tells her to get off there, as it's "full of trash". I've got another (younger) friend who was lovebombed & ended up losing her virginity to some scrote off an app - only to be dumped on Valentine's Day, because he couldn't be arsed to get her a gift.

Prostitutes are treated better than women on those apps. Even if you have ironclad boundaries, truly I wonder what effect even being exposed to that shit while swiping will have on you. I know some FDSers can handle it, and I respect that, but I really don't understand how. It's sad, because in theory it should be an okay way to meet new people, but here we are...

I feel for this woman. She’s played along with the modern dating script and this is what she has to show for it: trashed confidence, loneliness, no boundaries, being used and discarded.

But can we please stop making it so easy for them?? If a guy asks for Snapchat, block and delete. Nudes, same. Flaky on plans, same. Literally any other boundary violation, signal of low interest, disrespect, etc., just move on immediately. And don’t have sex with someone on the first date, especially not in his car! I don’t make the rules and I don’t particularly like them, but until you build a nonsexual bond with a man, having sex with him turns you into a prostitute in his mind. That’s what this dude saw - he saw a woman who needed a couple kind words and a nice dinner, and that was the price. Her actions say “I’m low value with extremely low self-worth. Act accordingly.”

I don’t like that this is how it is, but this is how it is.

Every single one of my girlfriends who acts like a cool girl regarding casual sex has been used and sex shamed by men.

I try talking them out of it because they’re lovely and beautiful. They enjoy sex and attention, they think that by behaving as men do, it will foster genuine connection - but men always leave after they get what they want.
