Ford requested an FBI investigation prior to her hearing (which was refused) and we have 2 other women coming forward along with corroborating witnesses to his behavior (even his former roommate is saying he is lying about his past behavior). No one is saying believe Ford without any evidence, they are saying let an investigation occur. Is that not reasonable with the number of witnesses and women coming forward? I would expect the same if a woman was running for a position and several men came forward about her sexually abusive conduct.

They're not demanding simply believing the accusations against Kavanaugh. What they are demanding is an investigation.

Kavangaugh is not a good pick for the Supreme Court. Even without the accusations the concerns over perjury, his partisanship and the way his nomination is being rammed through should give everyone pause.

This sub is getting a horrific reflex to simply assume any accusation must be false and the accuser lying. That's every bit as bad as insisting everyone "believe women with no due process".

On next month's SCOTUS docket is Gamble vs US. No 17-646. This is what the rush is about. They need him seated for October to rule on that specific case.
Trump can get everything else from other, better judges. Reversing Roe vs Wade is not hard to find a judge for.

At stake is the "separate sovereigns" exception to double jeopardy. If he (and the other 4 conservative judges) vote to overrule it, people given presidential pardons for federal crimes cannot be tried for that crime at the state level.
Trump can pardon his cronies and they will have nothing to fear from states' attorneys.

He demonstrated his willingness to abuse the presidential pardon with his "fuck you" pardon of Scooter Libby, who took the fall for Dick Cheney's vindictive outing of a senior CIA agent Valerie Plame to punish her husband for contradicting the govt's "yellow cake" lies about Iraq being a nuclear weapons threat.

A particular case is Trump himself, I guess. If he gives himself a pardon for federal crimes he can currently still be prosecuted by NY state.

Trump is prepared to divide the country and besmirch the reputation of the Supreme Court just so he can get this guy in for long enough to rescue his sorry ass and those of his cronies from people who actually respect the law and constitution.

Next time the Democrats are in they can put Kav's classmates all under oath, do subpoenas and search warrants on their txts and emails and other "private" communications, and get closer to the truth. It would be messy and destructive, and likely to put even more of a stain on his vote in the SC unless they find hard proof of anything bad enough to boot him, which is unlikely.

The current FBI investigation is short and entirely voluntary, no stakes. No oath, no search warrants, no subpoenas. It will show Kav was a very regular and heavy drinker therefore likely to have blackouts. And that he isn't the choirboy he earlier presented himself as. But maybe that is all, and they can still ram him through.

The one light from the process is that it's revealed that Kavanaugh is anything but impartially interpreting the law, and another candidate should be put forth instead. Don't let the accusation portion of it blind you to his other obvious faults. Focus on the part you disagree with instead of throwing yourself behind them blindly. Support the cause you believe in, don't accept all the causes of the person who is under attack.

2.) “Believing” doesn’t cut it; this isn’t Christmas. Innocent until proven guilty.

3.) MGTOW doesn’t fit in with those other scumbags. MGTOW just emphasizes that men shouldn’t chase women, we should realize our worth more often, and we need to focus on being the best men possible. Nothing sexist about it.

Ok, lets clear something up. Kavafuckface is being interviewed for a job. He has no right to this position, no right to due process and no right to any standard of evidence. There is no right to hold a seat on the Supreme Court, and unless a congressional/senate hearing has the potential to yield criminal charges (IE like when they investigate corporate malfeasance or lying about addiction potential of nicotene), you have none of the traditional "trial rights".

Congressional/Senate hearings are nothing more than a political blowjob fest if your lucky, but if your unlucky you've just walked into a literal skullfucking where all you can do is sit there and smile as pasty ass senile old guys skull fuck you.
