The other thing constantly overlooked is a women can abandon a child at any time. Even if it's years old they can walk away with zero consequences. Even when they father fights for custody, women are seldom forced to pay child support. I knew a guy that had his wife just leave one day with another man and left her 2 kids. He tried for years to get her to pay child support and didn't get a penny for 10 years. Eventually he found a judge willing to make her pay, by only $50 a month. If his parents couldn't have paid for lawyers he would've never got anything. Even still it took several more years to get the government to enforce it.

The arguments the person used are completely one sided. It takes 2 to make a baby, but only one gets any choice in the decision if they keep it. She can even give birth and drop it off at a fire station, without needing the fathers consent. Ive seen many men who wanted a kids, but the mom puts another father down or just denied he was. it's will cost the father thousands just to get to be a father to the kid.

The other big issue is unless you can prove a women is unfit (not just really unfit but you'd need to prove the kids in real danger). she automatically is assumed the better parent. It's really hard for a man to get custody of his children.

I should mention, I believe both parents should be made responsible for a child once it's born. The problems with child support is it's seldom used to pay just for the child. There should be a max amount needed to take care of a child, not based of what the father makes. I've seen fathers forced to support a mother, her boyfriend, and a child just because he could. my step father paid several thousand a month just for a single kid, while the mom stayed at home with her boyfriend all day. My step sister always showed up starving and in rags the 4 days a month he was allowed to have her. My mom had to mostly support the family since half his pay went to her. The one time he fell behind due to a layoff they seized the money from my mom's account, leaving 4 kids and both of them without much food or anything for a while. That's just one, I could go into my sister's who live off child support, or other women I've known that also do. If you receive child support, you should have,at minimumto prove you take care of the child.

Why do they always forget that there's two people involved in having sex? I know this kid, he was 26 or 27 but still a kid as far as responsibilities, he had a younger girlfriend, she's 19. They agreed no kids, but she really wants him to cum in her, says she likes the way it feels or some nonsense. To no ones surprise, suddenly she's knocked up and wants to keep it.

Yet, she still wanted to have it and he went along with it even after I spent hours trying to convince him that this very situation, before she was knocked up, is what she was after. I told him she just wanted a kid.

Idiotic that they can't see the clear difference of judgment. Honestly, I advise not to have sex with anyone you could not feasibly raise a child with, man or woman. Because this issue will never go away even if the judgment becomes the same. But that's just my old school position and no one will listen anyway. I understand being disturbed by men who take zero precautions and are happy to dodge any responsibility because that happens a lot in the black community, even if bm date out the child abandonment rate is even higher. (Not saying all bm so don't get offended by the statistics. I'm noting this because it is traumatic for the community at large.) But you can't cut women slack and not cut men slack for the exact same behavior. It's both or neither.

I hate that there are so many children without fathers because we all know how detrimental that is for individuals and society. But that will never change unless we all change our morals. Which we won't. Yes, we women are the only ones with choice to rid ourselves of responsibility, but men will never biologically have that right so even though the judgment is unbalanced, it's best to act accordingly with that knowledge. I don't think the West will ever actually see men as equal to women in all things which is why feminism is so confusing to me. It's just blatant cherry picking.

Yup when two people are irresponsible and have unprotected sex and unwanted pregnancy they are both to blame. Both could prevent it. There are certainly some cases where one could feel sympathetic for horrible circumstances and abortion could be understood, but overwhelmingly the majority are two people being idiots, finding an unborn child too inconvenient, and because they don't want to accept responsibility they choose to kill the unborn child. Personally I have extremely low risk tolerance and would never choose to have sex with someone I flat out could not accept sharing responsibility with if birth control failed. It's partially because I wouldn't have sex with someone I didn't have a close relationship with. Most people wouldn't understand that, but at least use protection, which would mitigate most unwanted pregnancies

The other thing is if some people aren't cut out to be a parent tons of people are, but just not able to that would be happy to show it the care it needs

Most families will have both parents, but fathers are far more likely to leave according to US statistics. And single fathers are consistently better off than single mothers financially.
