The future is female.

I'll divide this post into three sections: the past, the present, and the future.

1) The Past.

Throughout the history of western civilization, women were never truly oppressed. In the medieval times, the vast majority of people were peasants, among whom both men and women worked equally hard and had equally little power. It's true that men generally had more power among the ruling elite, but the ruling elite was a tiny fraction of the population, and the men among them certainly did not have the collective interest of all men as a priority. In these times, the only true oppression was that of the nobility and ruling elite on the common people- any other "oppression" totally pales in comparison.

In more recent centuries, society operated on a social contract between men and women: women would give up a fraction of their autonomy, in exchange for being freed for a proportionate fraction of their responsibility. Men were the ones who toiled in the mines; who died in the wars; who labored all day to put food on the table; in exchange for having more control and autonomy. Women were protected from the horrors of the front lines and freed from laboring to provide, in exchange for being relegated to the home and losing some autonomy. Contrary to the revisionist history that feminists push, women were not treated like slaves; women were treated like children.

Indeed, this social contract between husbands and wives was very much akin to that between parents and their children; and under the culture of that time, most men and women believed it to be fair. It is only under a modern western cultural lens, in which freedom, autonomy and individuality trumps all, that this exchange has somehow been perverted into oppression.

Again, it was true that most political and economic power was held by men- but just like before, it was concentrated into the handful of a few elite men. And contrary to the feminist narrative that society was ruled "by men, for men"- which in reality is nothing more than a projection of collective solidarity onto men- this ruling class of men did not at all prioritize the collective interest of men.

2) The present.

Feminism arose in the late 19th century out of a changing culture, in which many women desired to be freed from their traditional gender roles outlined in the aforementioned social contract. This first began via the advocacy of legal equality between men and women, which was ultimately successful. Feminism continued to advocate for professional and social equality between men and women, and their approach was to eliminate the social/cultural expectations placed on women, with a complete disregard for those placed on men. This second goal was ultimately successful as well, and now women are completely free from all traditional social expectations or gender roles, while men are still shackled to theirs.

Yet feminism is still not satisfied. Women are already the privileged gender in modern western society, and feminism continues to celebrate all the numerous female privileges while deriding the remaining few male privileges. In the end, what feminism wants is for every woman for to be free to do whatever they like and say whatever they like, without any accountability or consequences, while men are shackled and chained to their oppressive social expectations and may not speak without kowtowing to their feminist overlords. Feminism is now the advocacy of female superiority, and will not stop until men become de-facto second class citizens

Moreover, feminism is gaining a stronger foothold in mainstream western culture day by day. Misandry has become fully normalized while any criticism of women will get you ostracized and shunned. Feminism has become thoroughly embedded into woke ideology, the de facto religion of the left. When conservatives previously wielded cultural power, their religion- Christianity- guided the morals and principles behind mainstream America. Now that conservatives have lost all control of social and cultural power and are all but going extinct, the mainstream religion of America has become wokeness- the new age religion of the left. It is no longer Christianity that guides the morals society, but rather wokeness, of which feminism is a key tenant. Feminism has won the culture war, and men have lost.

3.) The future.

Why was feminism so successful? It can be boiled down to many things, but chief among them is this: Women love women and hate men; men love women and hate men. There is no collective solidarity among men like there is among women. This is one of the reasons why there is no hope for a men's rights movement to become mainstream either.

The other is that unlike in previous history where culture was cyclical, modern culture goes in one direction: forward. The woke cultural zeitgeist that dictates social responsibility to be transferred upwards in the oppression hierarchy is self-perpetuating, so it may very well hold onto social and cultural power forever. Republicans could win the next 10 Presidential elections, and mainstream America will still be controlled by woke culture.

In short, the future is female. The future is feminist. Women are going to have their cake, eat it, have another cake, and make you and me pay for all of it.

As noble as it is to fight for justice, perhaps the fundamental premise of men's rights activism is misguided. Perhaps the Redpill is right- all we can do is enjoy the decline, and immerse ourselves in our tiny real-life bubbles and niche communities where we bury our heads and cover our ears to the footsteps of our impending doom.
