There are about as many fat men in the US as fat women. If they're only matched on height for men and weight for women, does that mean the 6'2" 400lbs guy would only be willing to have sex with thin hotties? I think they would rather use a vibrator.

Casual sex is really screwed because there are more men who want it than women, but most couples I see in relationships seem fairly closely matched on looks and BMI, unless they've been together for decades and one of them aged poorly.

Before, the tall chubby girl usually got into a relationship with the tall chubby guy. The thin short guy would date the slightly less attractive thin short girls. Now the big girl and the little guy half her weight are stuck together. No one would be happy in that scenario.

Given most of them men on this sub seem incapable of controlling themselves when it comes to parasocial one-sided sex with themselves while jerking off to porn, I highly doubt men collectively possess the necessary self control to limit themselves to only dating a tiny percentage of women. This of course assumes that tiny percentage of women who are neither overweight nor supermodels (if I complied with this calculator, I’d be 10-20lbs heavier than I am) would even look twice at the vast majority of men, and we know for a fact that they wouldn’t.

So what you’re effectively proposing is that a handful of people get to date and have relationships and the species likely dies out in one to two generations. Slow clap.

What about women athletes that while may be above their prescribed weight ranges and still considered healthy if not above average health?

Over all more people would be single and I'd see women ending up holding men to similar height and weight standards.

I just did mine at 39m 5'9". I've been 152lbs and I looked thin. 175 when I was working out was my best weight.

Edit: just did it for 27f 4'11" which was the last girl I dated. She would have looked good at 123lb, but 91lb would not have been attractive to me for her body type.

I always say "if every man decided that they would only give attention to fit, well-read women then the gyms and libraries would be packed."

Women will do what it takes to get attention from the men they want. The problem we have is that men have disgustingly low standards when it comes to the women we give sexual attention to: Fat women, addicts, city girls, dumb girls, women with multiple children... All of them can find someone with no standards who will give them attention and sex.

If men as a whole just said "enough" then women would change their behavior.

It's interesting that that calculator gives the same range for male and female, but different ideal amounts.

For example, at 6ft, the ideal weights are 164.9, 161.2 ,171.1 and 177.2 for men whereas they are 153, 153, 161.2 and 158.5 for women. The range for both is 136.4-184.3.

One of my friends is a BJJ competitor. Loves it. He’s roughly 6ft. He competes under 80kgs. I’m 5’10. I hit the scales at an average of 95-100kgs+. There are not many women comparable at my height, with my physique. So I’d have little choice, but to settle.

Honestly, one thing that bothers me about this stuff is that I objectively look better when I'm overweight. Right now, my weight is exactly that of the Robinson calculation (used the European metric system, sorry).

Maybe it's because I'm really short, but there isn't a single person who's told me I look better now than before. Even the pickiest men I know prefer me 15 pounds heavier, which would render me pretty overweight according to BMI standards.

I'm still very much trying to gain weight, but a part of me is kind of bummed out that I have to overeat in order to be at my most attractive since I don't care much for junk food.

As someone whose weight is pretty much perfect according to these sorts of formulas: the best numbers aren't always the best results...
