Well they did protest it to a certain extent in the nineties which pressured the Gingrich Congress and Clinton to do welfare reform. Going after so called deadbeat dads was extremely popular among men and was pushed by them. Before welfare reform and before the system was really put in place to go after a show called dead beat dads women had multiple generations of babies on welfare with no reimbursement and they got a raise for every child that they got.

The idea that the normal married ESTJ and ISTJ married men who make up the bulk of the voters and responsible adults in the United States were not completely in line with going after the men who had knocked up women for child support is insane. Why all of you mental cases want to let poor and black and Hispanic men off the hook from paying child support for the children that they spawn is not possible for anyone to to comprehend. That was the point of going after fathers, reducing the tax burden of welfare

I have to believe it has to do either with people confusing the systems in other countries with the US system, or it has to do with the fact that people confuse child support that arises out of divorce with the sort of court ordered child support that arises out of the welfare

Welfare has become extremely limited people have a very strange idea of how it works at least in the United States I could elaborate more but I'm driving.

if i don't have kids at all, why should i help pay for schools? furthermore, if i don't drive, why should i have to pay for roads? if i've never called 911, whats the use in having police? that's not benefiting me. if my house has never caught on fire, i should be allowed to opt out of the fire department funding as well.

The funny thing is that the manosphere is mostly in favor of financial abortion, which would just result in more government child support handouts, since nobody wants to see starving children with visible rib cages.

As a former social worker, my male clients got the same benefits as the female with the exception of Medicaid coverage during pregnancy. Most of my young clients were single females with children but of the older population, it was pretty even male and female. Society may be more sympathetic to females, and definitely more sympathetic to anyone with children but the benefits are pretty equal.

It takes two to bring a child into the world. Single parents (of either gender) often struggle financially because they don't have that second income. We, as a society, have decided that it is best to provide support for these parents so that they are better equipped to raise these children.

Why do you resent single parents so much more than the deadbeats? Surely someone who brings a child into the world and does nothing to support/take care of it is less moral than someone who brings a child into the world and does the best they can to raise it.

Of course, the best way to address the issue of single parenthood would be to have comprehensive sex education and contraceptives widely available. In that way, people would be less likely to have children before they were ready.

Not welfare, food stamps, Medicaid, or free school breakfasts.

The mortgage interest deduction. a subsidy taken almost exclusively by the middle class.

Here’s what works: giving poor kids a future. kids who have opportunities to go to college and secure gainful employment are far less likely to fall into the traps of teen pregnancy, marginal/unemployment and the prison cycle. This is why middle class people still aim to be married and gainfully employed before having kids.

How do we do that? Improve their educational systems. Stop funding schools through local tax dollars. Make the public educational system truly accountable for equality and outcomes. Create jobs. Train kids for those jobs. Allow kids who aren’t cutting it in a traditional educational environment study trades.

People will generally be responsible when shown they are equally deserving.

There is nothing you can do about it. Countries need children who become workers, who become tax payers, etc. Without children a nation will die. So concern is moreso about the kids because they are the ones needed to sustain the labor force and military.

The vote base is predominantly women so it’s never going away. No protests will change entitlements. Only way is to abscond from the system either physically relocating to a saner system or indirectly by reducing productivity and draw on the entitlements yourself.

See, you need to understand something. This issue with children isn't like investing your money in stocks or a house. It's different. When you invest your money in stocks or a house and you lose it all, you may live your final years in poverty, but society doesn't care. No one is going to pay you retirement income because you lost your money. And the truth is, you are in your final years. If you burden society for any reason, you wouldn't burden it for too long because you die.

It's different with children. When these children grow up in poverty, they are more likely to end up being criminals, or to not be contributing members of society, which means that tax payer money will have to pay to deal with tat. The financial cost of adult problems (such as addiction, criminal activity etc) is significantly higher then the financial cost of child problems (such as supplies). So in this regard, the choice for men is pay now or pay later, it isn't "pay" or "don't pay".

The truth is, men are forced to pay for the choices of women. Our society has enslaved men in this regard. Men will always bear the responsibility of women's choices, one way or another. See, that's the point that women like to ignore. They live life with a cherry on top. They get their jobs because of gender quotas, they get to choose to have kids, their children get supported with child support and government subsidies, they get to raise their kids, but life isn't free. Every time you get something that is beneficial to you, someone else is paying for it. And in our society, that "someone else" is men. Men get life raw. They climb up the mountain of life with a rope around their waists that is forever dangling in front of women. When women slip, all they have to do is catch that rope and men will be forced to save her. When men slip, he doesn't have a rope to reach for, he doesn't have anything at all, because no one cares.

What you are noticing is just one issue. There are so many other examples of men being forced to pay for women's choice's because society has made it a choice of "do you want to pay less now or more later?" for men.

They also provide financial help to parents with special needs children. And two-parent households also get tax relief, its called the child tax credit and married couples get DOUBLED that credit. In terms of supplies, there's also PUBLIC SCHOOLS.

There's something called TAX DEDUCTIONS to mitigate the losses, depending on how you lost the money. Even Gambling losses are tax deductible. Since you included tax relief, you're getting financial help.

Most of society should be against you. A child is far more important than a single male.

Majority of women (shocker)

Because they're the main caretakers.

Men who grew up with single moms (sentiments)

Because life would be worse if they didn't have those programs.

Really rich men who just couldn't care less.

It's definitely a problem. Having kids is a privilege, and so I don't support governments subsidizing parenthood. If you can't afford to be a parent, man or women, then don't have kids. We don't need your kid, there's too many of us anyway. You have a kid, pay for your choice and don't make it anyone's responsibility.

I also don't think that governments should be forgiving student loan debt. You take the government's money, you pay it back. If you want an education, pay for it yourself, even if it means you have to learn a trade in order to pay for college.

Don't make your shit the government's problem, or taxpayers' problems.

In a society that doesn't value men the first thing that happens is that those men check out, after that comes much worse things.
