women can have whatever preferences and standards they want but they shouldn't complain when the men who meet those standards aren't interested in them long-term.

men's preferences make sense too but regardless, plenty of women try to demonize guys who prefer younger women without a 'colorful' past for example.

the reality is that average women are not going to get the whole package when it comes to dating, it's plain and simple. now of course a lot of those women don't view themselves as average but by definition most women are. i don't care if they shoot for the stars and end up alone at 40+ or become single mothers 'by choice', just don't blame other people for the results of your choices and actions.

I don't have a problem with women having preferences. What I do have a problem with is women becoming more demanding with their preferences as they age and their fertility wanes.

For example: a woman in her 20s could have dated a pro athlete, a successful businessman, a male model, etc. In her 30s she expects a guy to be a male model who is also a successful businessman and pro athlete.

People aren't mad that women have those preferences. People are mad that women lie about them and that society at large reinforces those lies. The problem is that we lie to boys and young men and adult men and punish those who dare to try to teach the truth.

People are also mad at the hypocrisy that the demonization of men's preferences shows. Men have preferences, too, but men get shamed and attacked for them. Even though their preferences are every bit as justifiable as women's. Youth, health, and beauty are all indicators of better chances of healthier offspring. A kind demeanor is an indicator of a more harmonious household and family.

First sentence already a fucking lie. Nobody but a small handful of men on fringe corners of the internet criticizes women for what they like in men. If women were oh so heavily criticized for their preferences, they wouldn't be so openly proud and smug about it. Women post their laundry list of demands onto social media and their OLD profiles.

It's men who are lambasted in mainstream media and culture for having "toxic" preferences and standards for women. And that has been going on for quite some time, e.g. telling men/boys their preference for slim women/girls causes anorexia and mental health issues, in the mid-late 2000s.

I think most people are fine with women having these standards. What men take issue with is more so:

1) The gaslighting that women are less superficial than men, when clearly they aren't.

2) When they chase the men who fit those standards, it doesn't go well, then they turn around and act like all men are cheaters or emotionally abusive, when in reality those are just common traits among the particular guys they have a preference for.

Then why do men rate women according to a normal distribution while women rate men according to a distribution that's extremely skewed towards "least attractive"?

The problem isn't preferences per se. The problem is that those preferences are extremely restrictive. For example, men like both short and tall women unless they are extremely short or tall. Women only like men who are in the top 20% of every category.

Women are allowed to have whatever standards they like. As a man, I have standards too.

Being jealous because women can have 2 more standards than you can as a man, doesn't add value to your life.

Every preference you have shrinks down your number of potential mates. A man can have maybe 5 preferences before he has entered into delusional land. Women, having more selection can have maybe 7. If you are a man and want a woman who is 1. Single. 2. Age Appropriate 3. Smaller than you 4. No Kids - we'll that 5th preference may be the end of your dating pool, depending on what it is. Let's say your 5th preference is "no mental/physical issues" - guess what kiddo, depending on where you live, you just ruled out 90%+ of all women.

Women face the same battle. They want guy that is 1. Single 2. Not Obese 3. Has a job/real prospects 4. Meets her education level 5. Is taller than her 6. Is age appropriate... she basically gets one more preference before she eliminates 90% of all men.

I’ll disagree with one point: Being tall is just visually attractive. Tall men are able to hurt me more and I’ve literally never been in a situation where I needed physical protection. Yet I love looking at long legs on a man. And long arms. And a long torso.

Saying I like tall men to feel protected is like saying men like wide hips so they feel like their children will be easily born without complications. That’s the origin of the preference but in the moment it’s just that it looks good.

Sure. Larger penises cause more sensation sorta. But being too large is uncomfortable and being average gets the job done.

Everyone likes money.

Everyone likes confidence, charisma and silliness.

Most women can’t take an actually big dick well. Of course size matters, for every vagina a dick can be too big or too small. You're making a lot of assumptions and generalizations.

Being tall doesn't matter most of the time.

Most women don't orgasm from vaginal intercourse without stimulation of the clitoris, so penis size is not really a factor most of the time (I have average penis, but know how to push the right "buttons", bonus points if you can eat pussy well).

Financial stability is important but most women are interested in sharing financial responsibilities with a their partner rather than being dependant on a single income.

Confidence and humor can be learned, just don't be tonedeaf or crude.

Most women don't care about age a lot as long as they find spending time with you enjoyable. I've had relationships with women both older and younger than me, what really matters is the interpersonal attraction based, this is where character matters.

And lastly, don't assume that men find most women unattractive, in my experience with a certain age and maturity you will understand that sexual ir romantic attraction doesn't only come from having a 10/10 body and fat stacks.
