It's the wealthy and powerful, but we're all too tired and overwhelmed to see this. If people did not have all of these distractions then it would be more clear. All of those examples I laid out are problems caused by the wealthy and powerful but presented to the layman as an issue caused by someone slightly different from them, even as those slightly different people have very little to gain from any of it.

It's a bell curve. Men's curve is flatter. More exist at the extremes because men are more risk-tolerant. The result is more men are at the top and more men are at the bottom. Women being risk-adverse have more of their population closer to the middle of the bell curve.

Not really. High risk high reward is a real thing. The instinct that drives men to activities that could potentially kill them is the same one that drives them to take risks in business and in their careers. Sometimes they pay off. Sometimes you die.

Workplace deaths are a different story. But I can't honestly say that more women should be doing those jobs. A lot of them are physical tasks that a lower percentage of women could do. We shouldn't be forcing or encouraging people to do jobs where they are likely to be injured or killed just because they were born a little smaller or a little weaker and we want to be inclusive. Just make a set fitness test and whoever passes it can apply for the job.

The argument that a society cannot be male dominated because there are sex differences that disadvantage males is not a good argument.

He is intentionally conflating two concepts. A society can be dominated by males without providing advantages to all males. These are two completely independent points. Males certainly have the disadvantages listed, and more. Who made the draft male though? Men in power. Custody laws in the US after 1873 granted custody to the mothers and not the fathers. This law was decided by whom? Men in power.

Of course men should be outraged that there are issues specific to them that are being blatantly ignored by society at large. But we can hold this view and still just look at who holds the power and see that it's not a system that works? It's broken for many reasons, in large part because it rewards people who are particularly good at exploiting others. But can we not acknowledge that historically these positions of power were explicitly restricted to men? Did all men have access to those positions? Hell no, but that is not (or should not be) the argument.

If you are the majority of the power, you are also going to see the majority of the consequences of power. He literally handed her her own answer as if it was a fact that disproved it.

It’s weird, when it suits him he chooses to use gendered intersections, and when it doesn’t suit him he calls it postmodern inter-sectionalism.
