I did that for about 2 or 3 classes in college. I literally was kicked out of one class because we were talking about the exploitation of women in the sex industry (specifically, strippers).

And when I raised my hand and said,"Uh... the sex industry exploits men's sexual urges. Strippers don't do shit and have really high paying jobs for it. Men are the ones being exploited."

We got in an argument. I got kicked out for that day. And it was too late to withdraw so I had to stay in the class. The bitch eventually gave me a "B" (I had a 3.8 GPA, so "B" wasn't really up to my standards). So I went to the Dean of Humanities, showed my work to him, discussed my class participation with him, and he made her change my grade.

The bitch literally gave me a "B" because she didn't like that I stood up for men.

Ohh god, we had a professor back in college who was by far one of the most sexist, self-entitled feminists I have ever dealt with. Dr. ******** was as real treat to deal with. I called her ma'am (a compliment to a woman since I was fresh out of the service) once and she about tore my head off for it. Another guy in class called her Mrs. ******** once instead of Dr. and she gave the class a 20 minute lecture on how she has been constantly been held back by her male colleagues.

She was also really biased in her grading. I forgot to hand in a single homework assignment and I lost damn near an entire letter grade off my final mark for it; she wouldn't even let me hand it in for partial credit. A female student in the class missed about 3 throughout the semester and was allowed to hand them in with very little taken off of her grades for them. She passed the final by the skin of her teeth and yet she still got a B- overall, compared to my A- for the class. What an atrocious woman to deal with.

Welcome to the club. At my school it was sort of required. It was that or black history in America. It was interesting, and definitely gave me some perspective I hadn't considered before. But at the end of the day, if you're a white male, you're made out to be the bad guy. I remember me and some freshman were getting sick of the shit and just started living up to the extreme stereotypes that were always being discussed. Whenever they'd talk about white or male privilage we'd just put on a huge smile and make some snarky "life's good at the top" type remark, followed by a fist bump, just to ensure the teacher saw us. God I hated that class. Easy A though.

I took a course on feminism in college as well. Somehow I managed to get it as a philosophy credit (probably because it was the only way to get guys into the class), but I still approached it as such.

I never sold any of my textbooks, for any class. So here were my required texts

This seems like a good time to say, probably to the detriment of my already bad karma, that many of you have this mindless or naive hatred for all of feminism. You should show some amount of humility for first wave feminists, especially since modern day feminists bare no resemblance to them. The second wave only really established reproductive rights, and gave the world swingers, but ultimately bore into the world the trite that is third wave feminism... Which is all people seem to focus on around here.

I understand it is the most relevant, because it's the bullshit we have to deal with now. But when I see people decrying "feminism" all I think of is how misguided they are. This is the equivalent of saying "All republicans and republicanism is shit because most republicans today are shit." Nevermind all of the great people in history who were republicans.

I would recommend to anyone who needs to fulfill some multicultural or breadth requirement in college to take a class in feminism, especially if you can get it as a philosophy class. Yea, you'll have to endure some pretty stupid shit, but the history lessons are well worth it, it's an easy A, and bonus points if you can fuck a classmate.

Ugg humanities. Especially sociology. Pretty much the gist of societies problems is due to gender stratification. Wars, poverty, economy, all blamed upon male privilege and women being treated 2nd class.

I hated sociology until I listened to Freakonomics Steven Levitt. That guy uses real data and facts to explain society problems.

Best bet take philosophy. Men gravitate to philosophy (just look at the list of male philosophers compared to women philosophers) which is also very indicative of many discussed in red pill about how logic works between men and women.

Also, it's interesting that you posted this here. I was wondering the other day what kinds of things are taught in "women's studies" classes. Earlier last year, a female friend of mine told me that she had been sexually abused by her father for years. Also, when she was in college, she went heavy into women's studies. She was a huge feminist and she planned on becoming a university professor. She also planned on remaining unmarried. I thought about all those things and wondered about the kind of bias that could produce in a "women's studies" class. I'd bet that both the students and the professors of those classes would tend to be biased towards women who had really shitty childhood relationships with their fathers (i.e. sexual abuse, physical abuse, physically/emotionally absent, etc). And how that negative bias could then find a place under the umbrella of "professor so-and-so taught us..." and "education".

The professor says that payphones are an example of an accomodation of one group of people (able-bodied people who aren't deaf and can dial) but you aren't helping another group of people (deaf, physically unable to use pay phones). Ug. That seems like such a crappy example. The word "accomodation" seems to suggest going out of your way to help (for example, if pay phones were free and society was funding them with taxes or something). It seems to me that this isn't an "accomodation". It's just economic logic. People made money from payphones, so they set them up. It's much harder to make any money serving a much smaller population group (e.g. deaf people). It just makes sense to do stuff that helps the most number of people. From a business perspective, it makes business sense to setup a service (payphones) which can be used by 95% of the population. And from an economic standpoint (help the most people for as little cost as possible), it makes sense to go after the "able-bodied" market.

I understand that this (the economics of payphones) produces certain advantages for certain groups of people, but framing it as "we accomodate able-bodied people, we don't accomodate handicapped people" just seems silly - as if there's no reason we "accomodate" able-bodied people but not handicapped people, except maybe some sort of unfair bias towards able-bodied people.

Several years ago my friends were having a discussion about education in America vs other countries.

Friend1 said, "It is rather dumb how in some countries, girls are not allowed to enter school and are instead taught how to be housewives. Why would they cripple their economy like that? Aren't women just as capable as men?" The moment he finished his sentence, Friend2's girlfriend started giving him the deathstare.

She kept giving him the deathstare and started seething. We were like, "Whoa what's wrong with you? calm down!" That's when she said, "How dare you speak about women."

We were trying to tell her, "Dude! He's talking in favor of women, you need to calm down!" She did not relent, she kept going on, "You men have no right to speak about women's issues."

We were like, "whoa whoa! okay then, we'll talk about something else." Holy shit, it wasn't like we were saying, "I like brown people because they're good at cleaning toilets."

The only thing that made sense about it all is that Friend2's GF is an extreme feminist. So much so that she convinced her younger brother that masculinity is the root of all evil in this world. The biggest facepalm moment was when he posted on Facebook saying how men are the reason why we would never have peace in the world.

I took a class like this but it was initially based around the history of sexuality, so it was more of a GLBT class than a feminism class, but it had essentially the same people attending. I wanted to take the BIOLOGY of sexuality, wrong class, but decided to get that A.

Person A spends 4 years learning how to think critically and develop an in-demand skill, Person B spends 4 years slowly chipping away at their ability to think critically and developing the false belief that they have skills. I'm hiring 2 interns to work under me this year, which is a big deal for me, moving up in the world, yadda yadda.
