A lot of you like to party and DWIs are a real risk, also every man should be concerned with false rape accusations. Therefore, it is important that everyone needs to know their 5th amendment rights in our growing police state. Don't ever make your situation worse by talking to the police.

I'm 31, and I can comment a bit about what it's like for a 30-year-old man to date.

A lot of single women who are in their 30s are divorced and have kids. If you want to date a woman who has young kids, by all means, proceed. But, I've done it before, and I won't do it again. There is just too much drama. When kids are involved, it's like dating on hard mode. The women are very upfront about the fact that they are looking to remarry and soon. So, they expect commitment right away.

Then, there are the women who have never married. These are the career-driven work-a-holics who have almost nothing to offer besides their career. They are almost always Type A personalities. They are aggressive in relationships, and not laid back.

Now, there might be a very small percentage of 30-year-old women who don't fit in these 2 groups, but 99% of women will fall into these 2 groups. Neither of them appeal to me.

What does appeal to me is a young, 18-22 year-old who is kinder, carefree, less jaded, and better looking.

Now, am I an asshole for preferring 18-22 year-old women? Probably. Do I care what other people think about my preferences? Absolutely not.

[–]hashtagpound2point2 29 points30 points31 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Nah man, you're no asshole for liking young women. It's stupid that men are berated and attacked over primal instinct. Our male species is most attracted to women when they are at their most fertile, now it just sounds like biology.

[–]InferiousX 13 points14 points15 points 11 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

There is just too much drama. When kids are involved, it's like dating on hard mode. The women are very upfront about the fact that they are looking to remarry and soon. So, they expect commitment right away.

What's interesting is that I've fallen into this relationship multiple times and each time fulfilled the "new dad" role quite well. The kids have always taken too me and made an effort to emulate or impress me.

Then inevitably, the woman ends the relationship or does something unforgivable (cheating then blaming me for it) and my relationship with those kids now ceases because of some woman nonsense. I don't just lose a girlfriend/significant other, I lose a family. Any emotional attachment I had to those kids is severed and I have zero recourse. It's very hard on me emotionally and I don't even wanna think about the toll it takes on the kid.

All because the mom falls prey to some irrational bullshit head case stuff.

The rest of the stuff you hit on the head. I won't even touch the late 20s/early 30s socialite ladder climbers. Being in a relationship with one of them is like perpetually being in a job interview. Content with your current line of work and income and wanna spend your free days fishing and playing Skyrim? To a 22 year old, they're totally understanding of this. To a 33 year old? Rarely.

What's amusing is to hear my female friends and relatives chastise me for being involved with a younger girl. The superior physical attraction is merely the side benefit. I'd honestly be happy with a child free 7 closer to my own age (33) who's low drama and isn't constantly pushing me to run faster on the rat race treadmill. But such older women are rare. They're so pragmatic that they're not that appealing to be around when what a man really wants is emotional support and contentment. Not another addition to the choir of voices in his head pushing him to fulfill more obligations that necessary.

[–]iMurderedOneItis 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

what a man really wants is emotional support and contentment

I thought RP men shouldn't dump their emotional problems on the women in their lives and instead should seek support from their close male friends when needed.

[–]InferiousX 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

A woman can still be emotionally supportive regardless. Women are much better at picking up social cues. If a man is in distress, a female partner worth her salt can usually pick up on it even if he's putting on a stoic front. All of my best relationships have been with emotionally supportive women.

[–]iMurderedOneItis 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Agree, they can be supportive. But they can also start feeling bad because you are in an emotional slump and those feelings will translate onto her. And once you start making a woman feel bad, she may open up an eye or two for another branch.

[–]theredpill101 11 points12 points13 points 11 years ago (16 children) | Copy Link

I am younger than you are, but as a 31 year old would you mind elaborating on your habits and strategy?

Where do you find 18-22 year olds?

How many are willing to sleep with you, and how many are willing to enter a relationship?

Are you seeking a LTR, or plates?

Do you encounter a great deal of social stigma from your friends or family due to the average age of your girlfriends?

I suppose, really, I'm looking to see how the game will change for me in the years to come.

[–]redpilldude 27 points28 points29 points 11 years ago* (14 children) | Copy Link

I am younger than you are, but as a 31 year old would you mind elaborating on your habits and strategy?

Dating 18-22 year old women is not difficult. Women are attracted to men who are older than them because they view us as being more mature. My strategy is just what's on the side bar. Read everything a few times and internalize it. Game works, but you have to internalize it. Maintaining frame is difficult at first, but it gets easier with practice.

Where do you find 18-22 year olds?

Bars, coffee shops, grocery store, etc. Any place can be good. Online dating is harder because you can't use game as easily, and I avoid it.

How many are willing to sleep with you, and how many are willing to enter a relationship?

Most of them. A man's SMV increases as he gets older. So, dating for men is much easier in your 30s compared to 20s.

Do you encounter a great deal of social stigma from your friends or family due to the average age of your girlfriends?

I don't talk about this with friends or family.

I suppose, really, I'm looking to see how the game will change for me in the years to come.

In your 30s, your SMV will become much higher compared to your 20s because you will have a better job and be more mature. It isn't difficult to date 20 year old women.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Dating 18-22 year old women is not difficult. Women are attracted to men who are older than them because they view us as being more mature.

My experience has been the total opposite of this to be honest.

Round here, if you're female, attractive, and 18-22, you're either gonna be fucking other attractive 18-22 year olds, or OCCASIONALLY an exceedingly rich 40 year old.

Most women of that age simply arent interested in someone in, or near, to their 30s. Most of my plates sit in the 27-33 age range. At 28.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

What kind of area are you in? I live in a big city and it seems like age basically means nothing.

[–]HahahahaWaitWhat 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

I don't talk about this with friends or family.

What's this mean? Your friends never meet your girlfriends? Your parents think you're celibate? Or what?

[–]redpilldude 7 points8 points9 points 11 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

No, I mean that I don't go out of my way to point out my preference for 18-22 year-olds.

When I date an 18-22 year-old, I'll get tell everyone that we have a lot in common or she has a great personality. I will never say that I'm dating her because of her age.

[–]HahahahaWaitWhat 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Sure, but when every one of your girlfriends is that young, they don't start asking questions? That's what the guy was asking.

[–]1independentmale 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Nobody gives you shit? I'm surprised.

When I was about 33, I brought a cute little 19 year old around a few times. She was tons of fun and absolutely adored me. My own mother called me "sick" and "disgusting" - and I wasn't even fucking this girl.

[–]redpilldude -1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

No one has given me shit yet.

My parents live in a different state. So, I haven't yet brought an 18-22 year-old woman home to meet my parents.

I'm curious if you're saying that your SMV is higher in your thirties because you were introduced to TRP concepts and had higher success, or if your SMV has actually raised.

How does your physical condition compare, your looks, etc. Obviously you said your income has increased which is a huge plus, but I'm curious if your mindset is making a bigger difference than you think, because to me it would seem a man in his early/mid twenties would have an inherent advantage in many ways.

[–]BloodyPhallus 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Please reference Rollo Tomassi.

[–]redpilldude 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Well, I still go to the gym, if that's what you're referring to.

Any thoughts on the rest of the post?

[–]redpilldude 3 points4 points5 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

SMV increases because you have higher income and women view 30-year-old men as being more mature.

How does your physical condition compare, your looks, etc.

About the same, although I go to the gym several times a week.

to me it would seem a man in his early/mid twenties would have an inherent advantage in many ways.

That isn't my experience.

[–]Kaltano7 points 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Prior to the Baby Boom men in their 30s were almost always paired with women in their late teens and early 20s. The baby boom made this no longer viable as it meant the girls of that age vastly outnumbered the marriage age men of the previous generation. So the narrative of the high school sweetheart was created to encourage women to start a life with someone they grew up with rather than the natural pairing with an established man.

Men want younger women, women used the be on board with that and understood it and benefited from it as they wanted older men as well. You're not an asshole, you just want the same thing 99% of your ancestors had throughout history.

[–]fallacybuffet 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I love that common phrase: "my children come first." Then, that means her boyfriend/fiance/husband would be third-most important, after herself? I'm not saying the children should come second or third, either. What I'm saying is these women have a prejudice (probably born of their ex-husbands being irresponsible jerks) that precludes any sense of a healthy, balanced relationship. In effect, "my children come first" is a shit-test. I appreciate that their saying it keeps me from wasting my time. Actually, I just don't date women with children, because drama.

[–]metallica11 154 points155 points156 points 11 years ago (44 children) | Copy Link

What is so perturbs me the most about the author's experience is the fact that it is so incredibly obvious (after taking the red pill) that these women in these dance classes that supposedly could not find any single men really meant "I cannot find a single guy that is GOOD enough for me", which is usually a guy that is a 2-3 points higher than her. This canned statement is pervasive amongst the women of the 20-30 some hip urban culture and means the same thing - that these women are rejecting a vast majority of men (A lot of them that would be considered equally matched to them or even slightly above) from what they considered to be "single guys". Single guys to them means men of high SMV.

The most eye opening thing you can do is go to a bar with some single girls in their mid to late 20's whose friends are mostly married and listen to them complain incessantly about how "there are no single guys", and then watch them reject 99% of the guys who approach them that night at the bar, some of them creepers, but some of them actually decent looking confident men.

[–]HedRotPiliCeppers58 points 11 years ago [recovered] (13 children) | Copy Link

Its simple: men of sufficiently low SMV do not exist to women, they are as good as invisible. Their plights are meaningless and their existence is to keep the cogs of society running and nothing more.

[–]Birdoftruth 20 points21 points22 points 11 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

To be fair, fat girls are invisible to me and not even a blip on my radar. So I can't blame chicks for not acknowledging low SMV guys. HOWEVER, if their SMV is low as well then they damn well better get a realistic grasp on things.

[–]TRP VanguardCyralea 17 points18 points19 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Women who are 1-3 are invisible to men, men who are 1-7 are mostly invisible to women. They have a much higher cutoff.

[+]Birdoftruth -6 points-5 points-4 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

wtf? Who are these men? Chicks who are below a 6.5 are invisible as can be for me. Too much self-respect to fuck below that, not to mention not enjoyable and a waste of time.

This is getting ridiculous, guys bitching about how you have to actually be top dog to get the goods.

[–][deleted] 8 points9 points10 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Most men, myself included, simply aren't as picky. I have limits, but I don't really care as much. I'm just there to get my dick wet.

I'm not a chiseled man with a greek god body so I don't expect (or try) to consistently pull 7+ women.

[–]tallwheel 9 points10 points11 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I don't know. As physical obstacles they are pretty damn hard to miss. :)

[–]Fzed600 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

The difference is that a guy that is well dressed, in shape, and has a decent job/social life can still have a low smv. All a woman has to do is be in shape to have a high smv.

[–]Birdoftruth 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

so? SMV is judged differently among guys than it is among girls. Just cause you think your a 10 doesnt mean she'll think you are cause you have to display certain intangible things that cannot be perceived by her without words

[–]foolery 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Exactly. A man has to have an attractive personality, a woman has to have an attractive body. The latter is MUCH easier to achieve.

[–]Birdoftruth -1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

dude a body is 1/4th of the equation. Its mostly in the face. Which cannot be changed outside plastic surgery.

A personality is much more malleable, though requires work. Which people here complain about having to do

[–]Fzed600 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

All a woman needs to be is an attractive capsule. She can be completely empty inside and men will line up.

[–]iMurderedOneItis 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yes, what determines SMV varies based on gender. When it comes to deciding whether or not you will fuck a girl depends almost entirely on her looks/physical attractiveness. Whereas to have high SMV in the woman's eyes, you have to be socially apt, confident, make the woman feel a range of emotions, etc.

[–]HedRotPiliCeppers3 points 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Fat chicks aren't invisible to me. I don't want to have sex with them, but I don't want to manipulate or use them for my own gain. I don't want to actively cause them harm, and I am not actively repulsed by simply communicating with them. Women could completely care less about their garbage man. I have some compassion for a woman who is 35 and works at walmart emptying wastebaskets.

[–]1neveragoodtime 64 points65 points66 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Not only that, most of these women really mean, "I cannot find ANOTHER single guy that is GOOD enough for me." These aren't virgins, they're just running out of cocks on the carousel.

[–][deleted] 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

[permanently deleted]

[–]thelandofdreams 5 points6 points7 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This is absolutely true. Before I learned enough body language/social skills, I was often called a creeper for simply introducing myself.

[–][deleted] 15 points16 points17 points 11 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Women fail to realize just how few options lonely guys have. Most of them aren't even getting approached by 5s looking to date up. Your average forever alone 6.5 guy gets no female interaction at all

[–]throvvvvavvvvay 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

You're talking like a guy should expect to be approached?

A new girl kissed me the other day. I was embarrassed because I didn't make the move a few minutes earlier, meaning she felt like she had to. I felt lame for not taking initiative and she may have felt like she wasn't attracting me strongly enough.

Nobody feels their best in the situation where a girl has to approach. So get your 6.5 ass out there and hit on some 5s!

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Nobody feels their best in the situation where a girl has to approach. So get your 6.5 ass out there and hit on some 5s!

Those guys don't approach, you're right, but if they did they would often be turned down. I have no problem with women approaching me its not a sense of 'pride' for me to be doing the approaching.

[–]throvvvvavvvvay 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Lots of approaches get turned down for everyone, guys and girls. That's what happens when you try to connect with people, only some of them are into it.

And you missed the point of my story. It wasn't about pride it's about understanding how men/women come with a different perspective, and how there is strength in not ignoring that.

[–]tallwheel 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I felt lame for not taking initiative and she may have felt like she wasn't attracting me strongly enough.

In those cases you just go with it. Make it seem as much as possible like it was really you who is responsible. Whisper in her ear, "I had you under my spell and you just couldn't resist, could you?" Besides, when she takes the initiative it makes it all the more easy to paint yourself as the higher value partner throughout whatever sexual interaction/relationship follows.

[–]throvvvvavvvvay 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah I agree and that's pretty much what I did. Except I didn't do that whispering stuff I just got aggressive in return so there would be no mistake about what kind of guy I am.

[–]fallacybuffet 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Forever-alone guy here. So frickin' true. Yes, I had the beta brainwashing. But going 18 years without after college (where I could occasionally pull one-nighters with women wanting to forget the last alpha who had broken their heart) was hard. 'Tis okay: just made me harder

[–][deleted] 39 points40 points41 points 11 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

I don't have a problem with women wanting the best, after all everyone wants the best. I just wish women would be honest and say these guys aren't good enough. Feelings are being hurt by rejection, so it won't really matter. I know I'm living in cloud cuckoo land here.

[–]metallica11 68 points69 points70 points 11 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

"I just wish women would be honest and say these guys aren't good enough"

Because a 5/10 women who openly admits she is not attracted to 5/10 or 6/10 guys looks like a complete entitled hypocrite.

[–]PlebDestroyer -5 points-4 points-3 points 11 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

What's up with the ratings again? I thought we all came to the concencus that tha women are attracted to money, status, power, alpha traits? Why don't we just stick to saying "high smv" and "low smv". I'm assuming you're factoring these things into your x/10 scale but still...

[–]bobmarley9 22 points22 points22 points 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Physical apperance is a factor too. I assume those ratings are based on looks alone.

[–]el_Technico 8 points9 points10 points 11 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Physical appearance is the most important factor.

[–]sweetleef 3 points4 points5 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

A billionaire can be an obese hunchback with leprosy and still have any woman he chooses.

[–]humankin 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Appearance and gait are the first two traits noticed so they're what form first impressions, triggered the anchor effect. Turning out to be amazing changes opinion but getting an accurate rating is difficult after the first one since "second" impressions only happen when the context of the social interaction is very different.

This is obviously exploitable to a person's benefit so it shouldn't be depressing. Just find new people if your first impression is poor. The world is damn near overflowing with them.

(you meaning one)

[–]BloodyPhallus 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

By gait, you are referring specifically to one's walk, correct? What do you do to optimize your gait?

Yes, gait meaning how one walks. I don't do anything specifically for my gait but good posture and confidence are probably sufficient.

Er? Did anyone claim these ratings weren't an aggregate of all important factors for each sex? I assumed the ratings above for the guys would be based on money, status, etc. as well as looks. It's a scale of overall SMV, not just looks. That's the only way it makes sense.

[–]AdmiralVonJackass 42 points43 points44 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Social image creatures. Women spend time with women. Can't say things that seem predatory. Might reduce their social image. Subconscious conceals biological motivations from conscious view. Confused women say many things. Can't figure it out. They are not an articulate bunch. They couldn't explain it if they wanted to. Go ask your dog for stock tips. After a sideways look it will continue to be a dog. Not a matter of intellect, but perspective. To acknowledge their true motives would make them hate themselves, because to be a woman on the prowl is like being a thief in daylight. If your intentions are known, your marks will exile you. Men don't want the bills and baggage of a failed spinster. Playing provider and supervisor to a person with no accountability is a job that nobody wants.

[–]TRP VanguardCyralea 7 points8 points9 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

The "bottom" of the dating pool for most women is a man just at the cusp of the top 20th percentile. A man who is an objective 8 out of 10 only registers as a 5 for women -- the starting point at which you may show interest. The rest of the top 20% make up the rest of the 6-10 bracket. The rest are invisible.

Recall that 80% of men are below average looking to women

[–]52576078 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Wow, so a compliment from women about your looks is actually a big deal, right? It means you're automatically ahead of at least 80% of the other guys around.

[–]TRP VanguardCyralea 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Or you're dealing with a very low SMV woman.

[–]Unicornrows 5 points6 points7 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well, c'mon... Guys do the same thing. I turn girls down fairly often (usually because they are too fat, are weird, smoke, etc...)

[–]Meatclap 4 points5 points6 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Too true. I can't help thinking that they actually reject men they find desirable just to bitch about the lack of available men. Or sometimes it's Goldilocks; He's too nice, he's not nice enough, he's too cleaned up, he's not cleaned up enough, etc.

Or they rope themselves a wild stallion and find themselves settling for all kinds of things they would have rejected, like his being too aloof, or infidelity, even abusiveness.

[–]tallwheel 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Oh, they're not "settling". They're actually attracted to those things. Those things signal their status as high value men.

[–]1oldredder 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Maybe in the long game of species-survival this is a good thing. If a lack of intelligence or motivation to take opportunities actually is a proxy for good genes being demanded then perhaps a failure to mate at a good time, have offspring at a good time, gives real and better opportunities for all others, thus improving the species. Can't really expect all un-dateable people to stop dating but if all unworthy specimens failed to breed I'd be very thankful.

Sure, there's other factors we can easily identify about this era of history that can fight any such benefit, but in and of itself, could still be a good thing (for the species, not the individual).

German philosopher and lifelong bachelor Schopenhauer criticized marriage by saying that men were tricked by lust into making lifelong contracts to take care of women. According to Schopenhauer, men would marry a young attractive woman out of lust and then be contractually obligated to continue supporting her after she lost her looks.

Well nowadays you don't even get the young attractive woman. All you get is the woman who has already lost her looks and is looking for a beta provider. No thank you. I'd rather MGTOW than that.

[–]vaker 25 points26 points27 points 11 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link

The contract used to be that men get sex, get to propagate their genes, and get a partner who supports them through life. In return men take care of their women.

This turned into: post-wall entitled women uninterested in sex, who due to their age and HPV infection have questionable fertility. Finally instead of being supported men risk a high chance of getting ripped off in a divorce.

Great deal - for blind losers.

[–]sweetleef 3 points4 points5 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

A very astute and succinct summary of the situation.

A follow-up would be that it is negative for both genders, on average. It leaves both less fulfilled and unhappier.

This is a relatively new model, being pushed as fashionable by the pop-media only for the past couple of generations - it will be interesting to see how long they continue to push it, or if at some point there will be a propaganda shift in the opposite direction, back toward the "traditional" marriage model.

[–]vaker 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

if at some point there will be a propaganda shift in the opposite direction

There won't be any change in the propaganda as long as academia and the media are owned and populated by the same group of people.

[–]Glurpies 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

That first paragraph was awesome, aaaand then you lost me. You can totally go get the attractive woman. Just ignore older woman if you don't want them. Don't marry=no problem.

[–]kanaduhisfruityeh 4 points5 points6 points 11 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

The problem is the younger women tend to be unavailable for marriage- too busy riding small number of "alpha" dicks. By the time they're ready to settle down they're worn out, lots of emotional baggage, perhaps children by one or more men, perhaps reproductive organs ruined by age and/or multiple STD infections and abortions.

Basically young women aren't on the market for marriage to beta providers. They're on the market for pump and dump by "alpha" players with game and pre-selection- even if these men are losers by conventional standards.

[–]Glurpies 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well you can train yourself to be alpha. You can make these young woman want to marry you. And when you do, you won't want to marry them.

Taking responsibility is important.

And now for another bit of TRP wisdom. Your father used the maximum possible amount of assertiveness, because he fed you RP "every time I fucked something up with a woman". In business these are called "teachable moments". He used every single teachable moment possible.

The Red Pill is something you have to swallow. It cannot be shoved down your throat like a Blue Pill. The RP is pain. You have to accept it, take responsibility, take action. The RP is like working out. I cannot work out for you. I cannot assert more to to make you work out, make you strong. Only you can work out harder to make yourself stronger.

[–]Endorsed Contributorvacuu 6 points7 points8 points 11 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

A lot of truth is like this. Going out and evangelizing people is useless, and in fact it causes them to misunderstand what you tell them, and then to spread misinformation. Then you get exactly the opposite reaction than what you intended.

Instead, never teach someone unless they first ask a question. This is actually the first "rule" in satanism: "Do not give opinions or advice unless you are asked." Not that I'm a satanist, but this is just a basic description of how things work.

If you oversell they may resent you but as long as they don't rebel it's better to be resented, ideally resented and respected.

[–]scamper_2252 points 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

it does come as a shock to women, but believe it or not, people don't do things with little or no benefit to them.

Women naturally assume men should want them. But it's just not worth it.

Career women = no real benefit. You go to work, then have to work even harder at home, and you both 'feel' entitled to be 'taken care of'.

house wife = not much respect

In both cases, it is expected for you as the man to do all kinds of stuff you don't really like to do be it dance class, playing tag along with her friends...

So why bother, I'd much rather do things I would like to do, and there's always a girl around for sexual things on my own terms.

[–]CornyHoosier 31 points32 points33 points 11 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

Women at a dance class are asking where the men are? If ladies want to find men, allow me to point them out: Working, bars, sports. These areas are literally overflowing with men.

As we all know here, what these women mean are, "Where are all the good-looking, well-off men?"

[–]vaker 11 points12 points13 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

These women want high-SMV, ready-to-commit men served up to them on a platter. They don't want to go where these men are. The men need to come to them wherever they are, because these women are all precious, special snowflakes.

[–]2Overkillengine 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Plus taking initiative on their own makes it harder to abdicate responsibility for their bad decisions. Much easier to complain and wait for a relationship to "it just happened!".

[–][deleted] 7 points8 points9 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

"Were are all the men at the activities I want to be doing!"

[–]theredpill101 5 points6 points7 points 11 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

I see your point, and I won't dispute it with you.

Your comment did make me wonder something, though.

Men are working, in bars, or watching/doing something sports related. You say that to a woman, and I can already hear the response:

"I don't want a man who is married to his job."

"I don't want to date a drunk, or a man trying to live his college years at 30."

"I don't want a man whose life revolves around sports. I don't want to be with someone who sits around all weekend watching football."

Men have their interests - I get that. But don't you think that women are basically telling us, in veiled terms, what they do want? We know what they don't want: simplistic, uninteresting, unmotivated men who have given up on progress.

Knowing that, it's honestly like shooting fish in a barrel. If you're an interesting, sophisticated, well-spoken, well-dressed man, you've got the cream of the crop at your disposal.

[–]brandor77 13 points14 points15 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

A fair point, but counterpoint is: Why do something you don't want to do, in order to conform to someone else's desires or expectations? Short term, you get sex, but long term you get misery.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That is the essential question as far as i'm concerned. Unless you're really committed to doing the wife and kids thing I don't see the point of changing for a woman...at all.

[–]1oldredder 4 points5 points6 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

True, but, there's a lot of crop, not that much cream, and they frequently do have a desire to settle down, so if you don't... well... they will complain.

I guess there's nothing to do but get with it & figure out as you go along if you're really sure what you want. At least in the end I think we as men will figure it out. And be honest about it.

I would say for myself for over a decade I have had zero interest in a long-term relationship, zero interest in marriage, zero interest in any risk of my financial stability or peaceful home being disrupted by nonsense (of any sort, but for example, from a girlfriend). That leaves me only a few options: whatever time I intend to stay fully single intermixed with the odd short-term-only plate to spin. Even to that end I won't disrupt the rest of my life spending money or time on those girls. A little trade off is fine, a little fun is fine but there's nothing any woman can provide for me that makes up for losing my space, my money (big amounts, long term) or consistently pissing me off (in a mood, shit-testing, PMS, etc).

[–]CornyHoosier 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Honestly, I've never heard a woman say those things, especially all three at once. You know the hot, intelligent, sane Venn diagram for women? The diagram for men is work, bars, sports. Honestly, my ability to drink after work and be able to relate to various sports has helped my career many, many times over.

I swear to god, I was over at a woman's house one time and she flipped on the TV. There was this show about these women who were trying to marry one guy (whoa weird, alpha behavior alert). I was half-way listening too it (and frankly I found it to be brain rot) before I convinced her to put on a movie. The next day I overheard two of my female bosses talking about this same show and I pipped in that I thought the "one lady with the goofy hair had some intense craziness about her"

They almost squealed with delight and started going into more detail with me standing there, about the show. I've decided these shows must be the sports equivalent for women, as they noticeably treated me in a friendly manner form there.

The game simply isn't worth playing unless you're in the top 10-20% of guys.

No man wants, or should want, to be "husband material." Do your best to make it into the top tier of men, and if you can't make it, have the self-respect to refuse to settle for being a provider.

[–][deleted] 11 points12 points13 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Men desire 16-26 year old women. If they've consistently failed to attract them for their whole life, it's better to MGTOW than settle for a post-wall woman.

Granted, there are unicorns somewhere, but the chances are so low, you'd be better off playing Russian roulette than waste time dating post-walls.

[–]bulgogeta 3 points4 points5 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Agreed, although I differ on this point here:

it's better to MGTOW than settle for anything else at that point

Even if we find that woman, there's still a huge chance that she's probably been on the CC. Some of us are just tired of the silly games. It's not so much as to have given up but if you think about the amount of investment involved, it's just not worth it. Most of the traditional women/RPWs are just too fucking rare nowadays.

It goes both ways. Women are only attracted to the top 20% of men. So I guess both men and women are not interested in dating at all if they can't have a reasonably high value member of the opposite sex. There are lots and lots of singles of both sexes out there now - most of whom will never be attractive enough to gain the attention of anyone of the opposite sex who they would be willing to waste their time with.

[–]Prattler26 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

It's expected for men to fail and they don't feel so stressed out, whereas women are biologically expected to give birth and their failure is much greater.

Maybe 80 percent of women reproduced, whereas only 40 percent of men did.

http://tierneylab.blogs.nytimes.com/2007/08/20/is-there-anything-good-about-men-and-other-tricky-questions/

"Loser" men had their whole lives to accept the fact of not being attractive, whereas women were always attractive, lose it in their 30s and get baby crazies.

I despise this truism. If what you like to do is stay at home watching a game or reading a book a woman is not going to come knocking on your door to join you.

This is only true if you like doing something in public. For us intellectual introverts there are only so many years we can waste doing public things we hate

[–][deleted] 46 points47 points48 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

So true. I wasted so much time going to parties and events when I was younger. I just wouldn't really leave any happier. I wasted so much time dating random girls. Still wasn't really happy with them.

I had more fun playing World of Warcraft in my highschool years, connecting with people over voice chat and working in a digital-team than going through all the social motions of college.

As fucked as as this sounds, I think immersing myself in fantasy worlds were the happiest times of my life.

Video games are often shunned upon here, but games like Counter Strike really helped me break out of social awkwardness. Sure, I could go around talking to strangers on the street, but it's just so simple to click some buttons, then be connected two minutes later with four random dickwads that you now have to work together with to try and win. Takes a lot of pressure of social interaction when you can just click exit when shit goes south.

Fuck it, if you want to stay home and game then do that. But just be honest with yourself if it is truly what you want to do that day or if you are just hiding. Hiding is not actualized.

In that vein, not everything you do needs to be oriented around picking up chicks. That's the kind of life women lead

[–][deleted] 8 points9 points10 points 11 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

I don't know. My main hobbies are baking bread, brewing beer, cooking and carpentry, none of which takes me out of the house. But they're all activities and aren't just 'sit down playing on the Xbox'.

The solitude of those things are what make it enjoyable for me. Going out to socialize has to be a deliberate activity for me. I'm not awkward at all about it, but I think that's what it means to be introverted.

[–]Nicolay77 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

One thing I have noticed of women, is they always try to get as much attention from anything they do as possible.

My point goes to the way they walk and the way they drive. If they could use two or three lanes and get away with it, they would. And they always walk side by side, like exposing as much collective ass as possible.

Noticing all this stuff they do, and react to it helps as well. They really want us to notice.

[–]TRP VanguardCyralea -1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

A lot of people use their introversion as a cover for being boring. If your only interests consist of staying at home and watching TV and playing video games, you're simply not interesting.

Certainly being extroverted helps, but there are a good deal of social activities that an introvert can partake in that would make them more well-rounded.

[–]Dark_Sighed 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

On the contrary, I find extroverts to be the boring ones: always looking for social validation, social pressures making them more like everyone else in their tastes and opinions, obsessed with money, petty little careers and other status symbols.

A lot of your favorite writers, filmmakers, painters and other artists couldn't have created for you without being able to enjoy spending time alone.

I like reading about history, art, philosophy, watching classic films, writing screenplays and poetry. It'd be great to talk to other people about these things sometimes but most of social life where I live is for drunks, football fans, and churchy joes. It's too much work for no return to search for the glimmers of educated people I'd be interested in and I'm not paying to go back to school for it

[–]colovick[🍰] 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

As I get older i have found this to be so true. Have not dated in ages now and dont feel I am missing anything. Last girl I dated was the most attractive girl I had ever been with. And was outgoing, had lots of good traits.

But the amount of work it required to be with her. And the constant testing. And the games her head would play. Nothing serious or mean. It was just obvious that sub consciously she was trying to find a man to look after her. At some point I just realised that despite how great she was, I just have better things to do with my time than be a hot girl's boyfriend.

Badger Hut: Guys Opting out of the Game

I can only speak for my environment, which is more or less college-educated white-collar urban professionals, but I’m noticing a sort of fatalism among guys my age and below. It’s like they have just taken socializing with women – in a romantic context at least – off the list of things they do.

... The social skills for interacting with the opposite sex in a productive manner are just not being taught to the new generation – it’s been replaced with a lot of “just be yourself” bullshit – and the structures to funnel good dating prospects between the sexes don’t exist – they’ve been replaced with turbo-charged meat markets where sex is on the table from the word go.

Young men today have a tactical problem and a moral problem when it comes to meeting girls. They just flat-out don’t know how to do it, and they don’t know if they should want to.

The skills weren’t being trained when I was young for sure, and we’re seeing the fruits of it. I grew up in the era where the active, forward nature of male sexuality itself was criminalized from youth onward. This caused a great period of questioning for many young men who were not born with the charm that makes it OK to be a sexual man. The sexual marketplace is in the thick of a divergence, with attractive naturals getting the lion’s share of women’s attention from a very young age, and the rest of them falling further and further behind as the old expectations of mutual commitment are torn apart and the scene goes fully feral.

every single generation has to figure things out on their own. how are the parents who are 40-60 by the time their sons are teenagers going to have anything relevant to teach? will they teach them not to make a fool of themselves on social networks for example? they can teach a boy not to feel like shit about himself by not being shitty at living, that is if they have the ability to do so, or if they exist in their lives at all. as well making them realize that stuff they do in yheir youth has large downstream effects when they get older, having the right skills at the right age, for example by aiming at a computers+management combined degree (or simmilar stuff if that exists in your country) will translate into a lot of money, confidence, problems avoided, the consequences of the problems avoided, opertunities gained ,and the opertunities gained on the foundation of the previous ones.

in a nutshell, a teenage kid who does something to slightly increace his prospects is actually making million dollar choices without seeing it. (but ofcource it can backfire, by being thirsty at a young age you are more likely to commit to marriage in your late 20s to a post CC girl your age which we all know is harmful down the line)

Guys are always at work, or at home, or with friends. Where are men and women supposed to meet? Clubs have their own taboos, and don't count.

The author is right, men will not even try the dance class or social events, because we know how standoffish women act. Women don't look very approachable, and indicators of interest are often VERY subtle.

Men just got tired of going out time after time, and coming back empty handed. So guys stopped going out.

Been dancing for 5+ years and usually in dance club parties I'm in the top 20% of men. It's difficult to approach girls, extreme minority of them give out friendly looks and eye contact invitation. Just because you're going to the places women want doesn't mean it'll be any easier.

In fact, it might be even harder. Alpha dancers have put in tens of thousands of hours and women only want them. If you're a beginner, you're fucked. Not worth the trouble for most men. It's just one more unreasonable requirement for being a good man.

[–]2Occams_Shiv 3 points4 points5 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I took dance classes several years ago, and found it highly rewarding, though useless for meeting women to date/fuck.

Leading with strength, confidence and precision is a learned skill that translates to every time you touch a woman. It is one of the only socially acceptable opportunities to practice and refine kino with women you don't know.

Also, it's like dog obedience school but with women. You learn to make them do whatever you want, with firm precise non-verbal input. I loved it, even when I wasn't good at it. Because no matter how much you suck, she still has to follow you.

Partner dancing can really be thought of as a sub-set of Game, and is worth learning for any man.

Third-year, intermediate-level tanguerro, here. You speak truth. I, too, thought I would meet women by social dance. I've actually come to a "meh" attitude to most women at dances, which is progress. What attracted me to tango is that it is hard, like a math problem. When I read somewhere that most milonguerros love the music more than the women, I started paying attention to musicality and understanding what that word means in the context of tango. In all honesty, I can't forget that my first female dance teacher told me "you will find her [your partner] in the music".

I love how dance is all about "frame" and "maintaining a good frame". Then I find TRP and--boom--it's still all about frame and maintaining frame.

Went to a dance class last week, alone. The instructor had all the girls rotate so I got to talk to like 20 girls. I suck at dancing. I'm a 6 in looks. I just acted nice and so did they. If I did this again, I could get numbers. Any average guy could.

[–]Endorsed ContributorrebuildingMyself 7 points8 points9 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

[–]Glurpies 4 points5 points6 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Hahaha! I can just imagine all the dudes.

"We can't smoke, we can't drink, we don't have football teams.. What the fuck are we going to do?.."

"You want to go dancing."

"Damnit.."

[–]tallwheel 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

So why didn't you get any numbers last week?

[–]TRP Vanguardnicethingyoucanthave 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If I did this again, I could get numbers.

If I could offer you some advice, I'd recommend against directly asking a girl out during the class. For one thing, it's a cliche that a guy only goes to the class to get laid (which is hilariously naive on the part of the women: "we want straight men who just happen to like dancing and aren't interested in us - those are the guys we want to be interested in us"). For whatever stupid reason, you can't be overt like that. You have to play into their "it just happened" fantasy.

For another, if you get turned down, it'll be awkward to keep attending the class.

What I did when I used to go to classes was to basically ignore the women there, although I made it a point to remember names. Let the girls see you and wonder what your deal is.

This was a salsa dancing class and I asked the instructor where some good clubs where. Sure enough, I saw a group of girls from the class that weekend at the club he had recommended. They were dressed up to the nines, and my buddy and I spent the whole night with them. Got numbers over breakfast. It was pretty cool.

I also met a couple of gay guys that were cool to hang out with, and they pulled lots of girls along for the whole, "let's get a drink afterward" thing. That's a good social circle to be in.

More importantly, it's good to know how to dance like an adult - not just grinding booty. There are a lot of opportunities to dance with girls, once you start looking. I'm talking about like open-air concerts where you see the old married couples dancing. There are tons of girls at those things, and if you know how to lead, you can have fun with just about any girl. That's where the dance class will really pay off, and where you'll get most of your action.

[–]1oldredder 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

for every hour of quality meeting/opportunity, you could be giving up many more hours of self-improvement, overtime pay, relaxation, social time with friends you already know, and, while losing this time, spending money that came from your work-hours.

In the long run a lot of it doesn't seem worth it. For what? Cuddle time? Some good sex? How about someone to talk to other than your friends? And let's not forget the value of personal time alone to self-reflect. Married couples give each other that time... when? It may not be so helpful for some women, or even some men, but I personally learn the most in my time of self-reflection.

Interestingly, this is mostly a Western phenomenon, and it's better in some places than others. Toronto, for example, is the legendary capital of frigid bitches. I've got pretty high SMV, but Toronto women are insanely hard to approach.

Compare that to a city like say, Sacramento, or Austin. Very, very approachable women. They smile when you break into conversation, and don't have radioactive bitch shields.

Then try leaving the country. Go to Valencia. Easy mode.

First comment:

"To your otherwise fine analysis I would add only that men also probably derive less utility from a failed attempt at meeting women than women do at a failed attempt at meeting men. Women attempting to meet men are on average probably more likely than men to do something they would otherwise enjoy, i.e. your dance class.

Men attempting to meet women, on the other hand, are expected to do things generally less appealing to them ."

This is good explanation. A woman goes to a social event will enjoy herself whether she gets a guy or not, partially just because of the attention, and partially just because she knows she could hook up if she wanted to.

If a man goes to social events and does not have the requisite SMV, he will eventually realize he is just a piece of furniture, and serves no purpose other than to make the experience better for women without getting anything in return. For men, whether or not they can hook up really does effect how much they enjoy themselves.

[–][deleted] 17 points18 points19 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Unfortunately, and this is something that personally took me a long time to realize, our culture today drills into our young people that if you're not getting laid at these social events, you're worthless. So not only are they wasting their time not having fun, they feel shit about it when they get home. Most men will never have the kind of success shown in movies and tv, so when they come home night after night of getting blown out at the bar, I'm not surprised he will simply check out.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Most men will never have the kind of success shown in movies and tv, so when they come home night after night of getting blown out at the bar, I'm not surprised he will simply check out.

Most reasonable people will work out when something isn't working and either change their approach or eventually give up.

I have very little doubt that some men go to a bar 10 nights in a row to strike out every time. On the off chance they do meet someone they realise that they're of very low quality and not likely to be suitable dating in any meaningful way.

Most guys, and rightfully so would never think of joining a dance class to get women. It seems like a lot of suffering for such low chances of reward.

Seems like all the online profiles mention something like "Wants to go on adventures!" or "Looking for a partner in crime!"

Of course you love adventures; they are free for you. Of course you love trying new things, those things cost you nothing.

It has been a shit deal for the dating man for a long time. I can't think of any date I ever had that wouldn't have been more fun with one of my guy friends. Ever.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The way you do it is by picking shit you want to do. Then say.. I'm doing xyz, you should come with me. That way, when you take a girl out, you're doing what you want to do, and you get to see if she's into the same things you're into.

Something simple like going to a park should be more fun with a girl than a guy.. Just saying.. If I'm out with a chick I'm already assuming she's into me. So let the flirting begin.

That's the word I hear both sexes use most often when they talk about their relationship phobia. Romantic commitment seems to represent burden and drudgery, from the exorbitant costs of buying property to the uncertain expectations of a spouse and in-laws."

Okay, I changed the names in that paragraph. That article isn't about America, it's about Japan. It's titled "Why have young people in Japan stopped having sex."

This is basically the path that feminism has put us on. It's programmed our teenage girls that men are racist rapists and are not to be trusted. It's made teenage boys fear women. Relationships are now "too much trouble." We don't normally get into race here on TRP, but there's definitely a racial aspect. Everyone I know who ISN'T privileged and white accepts that feminism is complete silliness. The Hispanic community in particular has clung to what made America great.

Its shit like this that makes me wonder if all the religious Southerners deserve the shit they constantly get from the rest of the country. They obviously figured out what makes for strong societies.

It's rather arrogant to think one can come up with a better social organization than the traditions that social evolution converged on through thousands of years.

I think states like Texas will become the new economic powerhouses once men start opting out of society in greater numbers in the rest of the country.

The future belongs to those who are there for it.

I work in the west Texas oilfields and women out here are as bad as they are in LA, Miami or my hometown Chicago. Odessa, TX, near where Im located, has one of the highest rates of teen pregnancies in the country. Lubbock, TX, also not far, has THE highest STD rate in the entire country. Women out here are as MTV obsessed and Feminist indoctrined as they are anywhere else. Out here they are only after oilfield money and are fat, fat, FAT and spoiled rotten to the core. "Spoiled Oilfield Wife" are common bumper stickers out here. As far as looks go, well, at least in LA and Miami they stay in )shape.

In all honesty, Texas left its traditional roots a long time ago and I truly believe its days as a freemarket powerhouse are numbered. Texas is quickly turning into California 2.0 and liberals (as well as Democrat voting Mexicans- sorry, but its true) are swallowing entire communities whole. I hate to say it, but Texas is fast approaching its expiration date.

I honestly cannot believe your selling that line of bullshit. The Republicans have almost total control over this state and have for 20 fucking years, the things your complaining about are shit they have done, period.

My family has been here over 150 years, great grandaddy got shot at Vicksburg, these "traditional roots" are some evangelical/fox news bullshit. That shit started in the 80s. Texas was Democrat for over a century after they overran us in the civil war and ass raped the state for a century or so. Then the exodus of norther republicans started from the rust belt, I am guessing your one.

Before the Raygun fiasco walking into a bar and saying you were a republican was likely to get you punched. They were rightly hated.

This is happening because people are dirt fucking poor, or working 80 hours a week. Welcome to your Republican dream. Democrats and Mexicans my ass, you people are unbelievable.

Youre damn right Im living the Republican dream right now- six figures a year starting fresh off the street. Like I said, if you cant make it here, you cant make it anywhere.

And every southern state used to vote Democrat until the parties switched... whats your point? And yes, Mexicans vote Democrat. Virtually every county across the border is blue, and then some. Naive Texans like you are why this state will fall in less than a decade.

The Hispanic community in particular has clung to what made America great.

Which is why America will be majority Latino/Hispanic by 2030, 2040 at the latest. FACT. Strong cultural emphasis on family and gender roles have their birthrate far outstripping that of white Americans, due to the latter's obsession with feminism and deconstructing everything about gender roles that were developed over millennia to help human societies survive and flourish.

You can already see the dipping birthrates in Europe and Japan. Feminism and modern bigotry-against-men-mascarading-as-progress work directly counter to a society's ability to replace itself with new members. Demographic shifts will inevitably take place. Soon you'll have places like Sweden being majority Arab/Muslim, ethnically/religioculturally.

I'm not making any remarks about the "goodness" or "badness" of these predicted events, merely that this is the trend that's occurring and which will likely bear itself out unless something drastic changes about the nature of modern Western thought.

white Americans, due to the latter's obsession with feminism and deconstructing everything about gender roles

The positive side of this mechanism is that feminists/progressives reproductive rate is very low. They are effectively selecting their defective genes out of the pool.

It's no accident they make every effort to brainwash progressivism into new generations through the school system.

[–]RockTurgidson4 points 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Exactly. Look at the Adrian Peterson situation. While I disagree with his implementation of his methods (4 is too young to start whooping kids, and you shouldn't do it on naked skin; I agree that anything requiring medical attention should be discouraged), I and many other human beings firmly believe in spanking as a method of discipline.

Yet progressives are desperate to tell people how to parent. They're desperate to cognitively engineer and brainwash under the guise of "counseling" and "sensitivity training". It's all extremely insidious, and very 1984-esque. You have the Thought Police patrolling around, crucifying people in the court of public opinion, and then forcing them into reconditioning programs and making them parrot canned lines expressing their contrition and new understanding.

Granted, if I see some peer-reviewed studies put forth that describe statistically significant negative links between spanking/corporeal punishment and adult well-adjustedness, I would absolutely be open to changing my mind. But I haven't seen any appeals to science from people criticizing him. Just about how this and that is "barbaric" and all sorts of bullshit appeals to emotion.

Sickening.

Living in Houston, I see the latin community really split into two classes. The poor lower class are simple people similar to either your typical country Americans or poor urban blacks depending on where they came from. On the other hand, you have middle and upper class Mexicans coming here and are basically indistinguishable from white Americans until they speak.

So from my perspective the middle/upper class that is forming here is much more traditional in their middle class values. To Hispanic women who don't grow up here, their feminism is more of a self-improvement thing instead of what we usually see here. They might be very prone to speak their minds, but they accept their feminism and expect men to act like men. I have a positive outlook for the future once we bury this idea of equality in outcome and political correctness above real correctness.

Women really don't realize how expensive it is for men to remain in the dating scene. Why do I have to buy some girl I barely know dinner, when she will probably even throw it in my face and tell me just because I paid for dinner doesn't mean she'll sleep with me. If a girl bought me dinner no doubt I'd put out. If I didn't want to, then I'd insist on splitting the check. See how easy taking responsibility and treating people fairly is?

I like dancing because of the physical contact. You really get a pretty complete feel of a woman when you dance with her. After switching between 5-10 women you will have a favorite too. Some do not follow well. (bad) Some pick up on your moves a little too well then start to lead slightly. (bad) The best follow with just a slight hint of resistance so you feel like you are commanding her to move, but she is not resisting too much or clueless. Given the choice of a girlfriend 7 days a week or 7 women to dance with once a week I'll take the seven. Dance polygamy.

Which is ultimately harmful for society as a whole despite the fact no single men or men combined should be ever expected to answer for the downstream consequences.

lets look from it from the thesis-antithesis and synthesis model.

thesis - sexual revolution, hypergamy, bad incentives for men antithesis - men adapt accordingly, go from spinning plates when they can to not going out of their way at all synthesis - less families, changing families, ultimately some longevity revolution with modern technology (no earlier then 40 years ahead though) automation, or simply a declining society/economy while more patriarchal societies that have yet to repeat the same trends rise up.

[–]Floridaisondrugs 6 points7 points8 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I think what may scare women (if this trend even bothers them) is that if men are just analyzing risk and reward, and coming to the conclusion of dropping out of the market and doing other worthwhile things, then women may have to consider doing the same thing. Especially the ugly ones. Because they're not going to be beating out hotter girls for the alphas they want, and their beta bucks are dropping out of the game. Instead they prefer to hamster themselves into the possibility that someone is out there.

Although I really don't see how this is an acutal problem for men or women. Men get to take the pussy off the pedestal, and find other ways to make themselves happy, and women have less "creeps, loners, virgin neckbeards" trying to hit on them.

When I was younger and thought I was hot shit because I'm tall and look pretty white, I got involved with a bunch of women who came onto me. Combined with the fact that they all bailed almost immediately when i said I wanted to be in a relationship or got cuddly with them, it became clear to me that woman want one thing, they know what the want and nothing can convince them otherwise. They have no problems finding men, but the problem is that the portion of men who fit their physical requirements is very very slim, especially because it's women of color competing with white women for the slim portion of tall handsome white guys.

Anyways, I wonder if Japan is the way it is because the guys look at the yellow cabs and are like, fuck it, why even try if we're not what women want. I looked at my own mother recently and saw how she pretty much wanted a tall white guy, no questions asked. Made me lose steam hard. Working hard, contributing to society is meaningless if life just boils down to women really only wanting the top 10% PHYSICAL characteristics.

It's just not worth even trying. To be honest the only reason im still alive is because I unwittingly used my white privilege to get a Chinese wife (who actually likes Chinese guys too), but as far as a pretty, easily manageable woman goes, she was the first one who actually wanted to have a relationship, and knowing how lonely I was when I met her I just went with it. She treats me great. Short of that I really am two steps away from taking pills and booze and calling it a day. The world doesn't deserve my, or that of other smart men, to contribute to it.

If that's what women want, just give it to them.

Either way it's almost better to be dead than to be a slave to the alphas and their harems, but the only thing better than being dead is to try to enjoy the small things in life on your own terms. My only concern is that once people wake up en masse it will be harder to enjoy shit because men will stop creating in general.

It doesn't really take a genius to work out that if the genders have approximately the same numbers of men and women over the same age ranges (which they roughly do, excluding old age) for every 50 year old man chasing a 30 year old woman leaves a 50 year old woman without a partner.

The market is such that supply is equal to demand overall (population is 50:50) but actually what happens is women in their prime years are coveted by lots of men and young men tend to lose out to older men who have more capital life experience and value, but out of their prime obviously it has to reverse and men are in demand since the older men who would partner with older women are chasing younger girls.

I.e with equal numbers its unavoidable to have a surplus in one age group and not have a shortfall in another, what you borrow gets repaid.

For them there are all those frisky 70 year old men... :)

women like "hot" guys, that's all it is. (And that has nothing to do with personality, unless you are a complete creep) Some combination of height, being white, being in shape, nice hair, nice eyes, deep voice, clean tanned skin, etc.

An attractive guy knows he is attractive from a young age and thus grows up confident. Once he hits his 20s, he knows he can easily say any stupid shit to a girl and get her attracted as long as she is sexually available. look at this video

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VAMBeiJGLbA

What am I supposed to learn from this guy? Yeah he gets a ton of ass but can I do what he does? He says those things and he's "funny". I say those things and I'm a creep. Sure I can get in shape but will that change the fact that I'm extremely hairy and bald? I don't buy the whole "women don't care about those things". In a social setting like a bar or club, 100% of the time I will be the hairiest+baldest dude there. I approach a cute girl, there are going to be other men vying for her attention that don't have these genetic flaws that I do. Maybe I get lucky and she's attracted to hairy bald dudes. But am I willing to get rejected for 5 days in a row until I bag that one girl? Or would I rather pay $300 and fuck a 10....or would I rather just jerk off and play my ps4. Each have their own pros and cons. I crave women badly but Sun Tzu taught me never to go into a losing battle.

[–]HalfAsianBob 4 points4 points4 points 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Yup, this. If you have to convince a woman that you're attractive then you're doing it wrong. Women already know what they like before they even leave the house. 80/20 rule. Fuck this gay earth

Nothing. You're better off watching Tyler's vids since you mentioned hairy and balding. This guy just hits all the right notes off the bat. I mean, look at him. He can pretty much say anything he wants and get away with it. His intention is just spot-on. He even asks a chick, "Can I hold hands?" which is evidently a huge "no-no" in the whole pickup/seduction community. But because he knows SHE knows that he's attractive, who gives a fuck? At this point in a set, a girl would probably even agree to let you pee in her butt if you're exuberant enough. Shit is pretty much on cruise-control.

  • Australian accent? Check.
  • As tall/taller than the girl he hits on? Check.
  • Look somewhat like Christian Bale/Tom Cruise? Check.
  • Confidence to go with looks? Check.
  • Push/Pull like no other? Check.

He just blows up his SMV np. He probably bats in the same league as my friend who models. Between him, Julien, Owen, and Todd, I'd say Alex has a higher hit chance with HB9s.

Or would I rather pay $300 and fuck a 10....or would I rather just jerk off and play my ps4.

There's an "All-you-can-fuck" deal in one of the European countries (Germany I think) so $300 might be a better deal over there.

The day I'm forced to buy a $2000 plane ticket and fly 4000 miles just to get some sex is the day I leave the dating scene altogether. And that's what the article is all about. And I'm a decently in shape, fairly good looking, funny, and smart guy who just isn't quite good looking enough to consistently get laid

You couldn't be more wrong. Lots of guys grow up with good-looking loser syndrome. Attractive exterior, repulsive demeanor. I speak from experience. It's very easy to strike out as a good-looking guy if you come across as unconfident and insecure.

Being attractive definitely makes things easier, especially once you build up confidence. Conversely, being insanely charismatic and having high SMV not relating to your looks can achieve the same effect.

Some men decide that the juice isn't worth the squeeze, I get it. However, far too often men delude themselves into thinking they can never succeed because they weren't born attractive, which is patently false.

We are now starting to see all the important social roles imposed by the institution of marriage, now that it's been taken away.

Without that contract that turns sexual pairing into a tribal partnership, it's a better deal for men to take the easy sex they can get and MGTOW as they get older.

Men don't intrinsically like being providers, and without social pressure to confine sex to marriage, they will opt out of provisioning, which amounts to the building of society.

I'll argue men have never had a strong urge to be providers or have children, men have strong urge to have sex and historically children was just the outcome of that urge for sex.

Possibly, but the amount of social approval and respect men used to get as an outcome of doing these things used to make it a worthwhile endeavor. Now, smart men are figuring this out, and BP men are getting into the contract thinking the old rules still apply like they did for their parents, and getting some very rude awakenings when they find out just how much their contribution to the family and society is worth.

Marriage today = contract of indentured servitude to a woman, who believes she is your rightful master.

Marriage traditionally = contract of solidarity with another family in your community. This contract conferred benefits (loyal wife) and also strengthened community ties.

Speaking as a 27 year old with many many good friends with high smv and mostly single. The census is there's no point to look for a relationship. With the economy the way it is and how risky commitment can be financially for them. They look for sex and that's it. 3 are married to high school sweethearts. They're wives have been apart of our group for a while now as well and actually promote the single ones staying single. Kids cost too much (I'm a single dad and have been told "I couldn't do what you do, it costs too much" many times). Marriage is Russian roulette. And women today 25+ years and older are hard to deal with because they expect commitment upon "hello, I'm chillmonkey would you like to dance?". So we get month-in-month-single relationships. Typically we find really well off women 21-24 yo with a good career ahead of them. Have fun together and break up before it gets stale or too serious. Some longer some shorter obviously.

[–]watersign 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

So true. I know alot of MGTOWs and married people. I fall somewhere in between. I don't waste time running game on girls but I do manage to bang some, but they aren't relationships at all.

Divorce and child support to a non working mom. Whats wrong with sharing expenses? Both made a child but only one gets to keep the child, the other pays through this nose.

[–]clear_lights 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

This is so true. I've witnessed this firsthand after realizing the type of shit all my friends have dealt with these past years. One has divorced, one is in the process of. The others have had their GFs cheat on them. Another one is currently dating. One common connection? More than half of them are leaving the market for good.

I always thought they were joking back then when they were busting my balls about my fiancée. My friends tell me all the time how I pretty much hit the jackpot with her. And I never realized how lucky I was until we graduated and we moved in together. She is pretty much your bread-and-butter red pill woman.

I think it's safe to say that if you don't find your unicorn within 10 years of you entering, you might as well leave the market.

[–]GiveMeABreak25 -1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I find it very amusing that anyone thinks this exact process doesn't happen for women. Not every woman is taking dance class hoping to score a man (???!!). We quit too for all the same reasons. This is not gender specific.

[–]Prattler26 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

While both men and women quit because they cannot attract the mate they desire, there is a huge difference.

Women quit, because they were attractive and lost their attractiveness. Men quit, because they were never attactive and couldn't build it up.

[–]GiveMeABreak25 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Did we read the same article? The man described time; what your time is worth. Input and output.

Women also get tired of the output. Source: Am a woman who is still attracting men but, tired of putting myself out there for no reward. And by no reward I do not mean money. I mean, people who are just not a good fit for you, don't carry same ideals, etc. Have learned my time is more valuably spent doing things I know there is a reward for. And I am no where near the only one of my friends/acquaintances who feel the same way.

One of the problems with TRP is assuming women don't have the same feelings as men about relationships. We are all human and each of us is wired independently of one another.

What you are implying is that women lose their attractiveness (and, so do men-safe to say that if everyone, men and women had their ideal, we would ALL fuck 20 yr olds)) and just recourse the the corner of life with the sads. No, we equally get exhausted of the game, especially if the game is red. Mature people of both genders get tired. Tired of all kinds of things.

Then again, I assume most of this sub is single and under 35 so, not exactly a well represented demographic.

Just curious, serious. Not flaming you, just wondering what you disagree with.

[–]TheObelisk -1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

By disagree, i don't mean that what is said is incorrect; it's obviously correct and works for the people posting their stories/situations. It just seems like a game to me. By default, the women are winning. TRP is an eye-opening strategy men are utilizing to dominate in the game and it's working well for them.

But to me, it's manipulative and sinister. I've been treated horribly by women my whole life. They've done all kinds of things to me. Walked all over me, called me gross, looked at me point blank and then just gone, 'Ew,' just because i made eye contact. I honestly don't think there is anyone worse than a teenage/low 20s woman. But this way of winning the game-- by beating them at their own strategy, that is what i disagree with. I know how it feels to be manipulated by someone who looks down on you. I don't wish that on others. And i don't have any interest in being with someone who i consider to be on the level of a child or a dog because they have to be led and have to have their behavior under my constant scrutiny. I am unwilling to do that and would rather be alone.

At the moment i am with a girl who is great. If the time comes where shit tests arise and her ego begins to cause her to try to wrap me with controlling vines, then i will dump her as i've done all of my past girlfriends.

But for me, for who i am, the winning move is not to play.

[–]HalfAsianBob2 points 11 years ago [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

Oh yeah I agree. You are more MGTOW. I sort of feel it's not worth the trouble at all to even deal with most females on a casual level. I leave it to the natural alphas to actually beat it at their own game, the problem is that rather than calling them out on it, alphas just play along with women, get the lay, and probably never point out to women how poorly they treat betas.

If alphas could actually just start calling them out, it would be great. I read a story recently about an Indian woman who only fucked white guys, but they kept dumping her until she was 32, then she started looking for an Indian guy. In this case the white guys are the alphas, and they did the right thing in not marrying her. In my case my dad was a beta chump and married my mother.

I agree with you 100%. Betas are essentially 100% powerless in our current society.

[–]TheObelisk -1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

For clarification, what is MGTOW?

And thank you for your input.

I have very strong resentment for women (mainly attractive ones, as they tend to be the most entitled and diminutizing.) In fact, i was at the mall last weekend and two hott girls were in the clothing area i was in (it was a border between the women section and men section). They were giggly and annoying. I'm immediately put into a bad mood by hott girls being around because of how they've treated me in the past; the hotter the girl has been, the greater the damage she's done to my life.

So as i was looking at clothes, i just moved deeper and deeper into the men's section since they were looking at some of the last girl stuff on the brim. They started following me deeper into the men's section and being more rambunctious. Just as i was about to get more angry, my gf walked up and asked if i was ready to leave, and i was just like, "Yeah let's get the hell outta here."

That was a long and potentially pointless anecdote, but i felt like sharing.

[+]ejpusa -6 points-5 points-4 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Yipes. I may actually agree with something in /redpill.

But in the end, it's also kind of sad too. Like maybe more then a little sad. Hanging out with another person you can usually learn something new, like hey you've been to Bali? Wow, how was that, etc. Here it seems that chance is just gone now. Like maybe life is a little less interesting.

"If you go out, hot as you may be when you're 18, you have little to no control over succeeding in getting a girl's number or a date. And as experience will tell you it's a 1/20 shot you will succeed, and that's assuming you have good game."

That's ludicrous. The other day there was a homeless man on the front page whose hit rate is nearly 100%. Your level of game dictates your success rate, not a random 20 sided die.

Back in highschool I was a bit of a schlub, going to admit it.

But something that stands out was the absolute worst fight I ever had with a girl I was dating was the time I refused head.

She liked to tease, I.E. do it for a bit and then stop before going in and I didn't feel like it one night so I politely declined after driving her home. To this day I have yet to see anyone flip their shit quite so instantaneously.
