Look at it this way: the manosphere shows you a way to succeed on a path that ultimately leads to misery, Roosh (and a lot of other people in the manosphere) realized it because they essentially reached the finish line.

We were all brought up by the media constantly exploiting our most base instincts: here's countless hot girls in every direction, you want to have sex with them all! Their goal was of course "work hard, earn money, and buy what we sell you in order to have sex with all these girls!" Guys in the manosphere found a different way.

The problem is you reach the goal, where sex is easily attainable, and you start to realize just how empty unbridled hedonism is. Then you start to realize that the massive societal push toward unbridled hedonism is all coming from the same place, and then you look at history and see the same patterns repeating, and the way society fought against hedonism in the past. How people avoided hedonism to attain virtue, to actually have some meaning in their lives.

I'm honestly surprised there aren't more guys here who have gone down this path.

It's quite a simple story. Late 30s is when your sex drive starts to dwindle. Roosh realized that banging wasn't so interesting anymore once old age and diminishing returns set in. The man has no other career to fall back on since his name and reputation are so sullied. And so now he's in the process of a re-brand (conscious or not).

Although this change coming from Roosh seems very odd, he has a point.

The world has gone mad (see clown world): women are crazy, most men are BP, sluts everywhere, self-destructive drug use, women exploiting marriage - and religion is what used to control this chaos. Following Roosh's patterns and his gradual changes throughout the year, this was the next logical step. (same as MGTOW being the next step of TRP)

However, I think it's less about God and more about the sins that are currently endorsed in society which, if not controlled, will cause a downfall of our species on a global scale. God is just a tool, just like the media, only less effective.

Near the end of "Free Speech Isn't Free" Roosh wrote that one reason why he was able to overcome the challenges of his tour in Canada was potentially due to divine intervention. He believed that he was potentially a prophet / herald sent to lead men.

With that out of the way, it's a weird decision - that's all. A move like this requires a lot of balls, and men who are congruent in their actions and beliefs have my deepest respect.

we can explain pretty much all natural phenomena since the beginning of time using science - I will never understand why people feel the need to cling to these archaic fantasy texts written by simple people at a time when they used to bury their kids in the foundations of their house to influence the weather.
